I would rather not have new world and take those efforts to adding new gameplay things

and if the pack is actually about world I would like to see world related gameplay in the pack
rather than something unrelated that can kind of be done in any world

This! If they are going to do a world that is focused on a country and culture the game hasn't explored before, then make that a focal point of the pack/gameplay as well! Don't just make it a backdrop for a random pack theme.

It would've been great if we could create our own (sleazy) motel. Although the for rent system is still in need of patching, its framework has a lot of potential. They can integrate it in other ways, from the opening of luxury resorts (especially with various packs) to cheap motels. So many opportunities - it baffles the mind why the team isn't taking any chances.

I suppose there simply isn't the manpower for it - yet we keep throwing money at them - so what gives? It can't be the lack of funding honestly.

This D: I'm thinking that maybe that will be the theme of the last EP before 2024 ends. I think a game dev acknowledged on twitter when For Rent was releasing that they are aware of the communities request for hotels.

I need the world. I think the world is the biggest selling point. There are game packs with worlds.

I only want the world if it has a beach and a real motel. I have online dating in sims 3. I find the in-game apps in sims 4 realistically boring because they use up gameplay time and the effects of the apps are hollow gameplay for me. I'm trying to escape and not use my in-game phone like in the real world.

I think the dating app will work best in gallery if you have a friends list that you download sims from or if you like a certain creators page and trust their creations. The gallery is interesting..I love the builds over the sims easily. This community is freaking talented. <3

I use lumpinou's romance/relationship mods plus Utopyia's romantic gifts mod and they make relationships soooo much more fun! Even though the dance made my laugh, I'm not much for the costume chest as regular gameplay. I do enjoy a bit of raunchiness/more adult gameplay because i loved The sims1/2 and miss that, but i'd definitely like more stuff for dates on commercial lots, not necessarily in the sim bedroom xD

So reading the blog post and with the romance skill we can unlock "new" interactions like neck kiss. But unless they made a new animation (doubtful) teens were already able to do kiss neck. They're just opening it to the other age groups. I'm not mad about that but don't mention it like it's a new feature.
I already use a mod that unlocks Neck Kiss for older sims (don't even remember when I downloaded it, just wanted more romantic interactions) so just putting it behind a skill doesn't seem like an improvement.

I like both. My diet has a lot of fruits.

    That's promising!

I wonder what the dates will be like? Do we choose our own activities - which would probably involve the roleplay trunk, party game and/or stargazing. Would there be a list of activities to choose from?

Or do we only choose the type of date and then it's sort of always the same list of activities, but then tied to its theme?

peaches and eggplants are great for food. Among my favorite. Sims is just too jokey, and catering to a younger audience. emoji jokes not my style.

Is this a joke? How can this even be a real expansion pack? $40.00 for some romantic interactions? This is not a full EP. This could've EASILY been a game pack.I think this is EA's way of trying to make a PG form of a very popular mod (dunno if I can post the name of it). There are mods where you can get this EP basically for free already. This is the first time that I will not be buying an EP, in all of the time I've been playing sims. That includes sims 1,2,3 and 4. I've been playing since 2001. I cannot describe how unbelievably disappointed I am. Please give is fairies.

I am thankful to the mod community b.c the game is boring without them. I wish EA would look at the popular mods and just put them in the game. Having my mods break every time a new pack and update happens is annoying. Having to read an entire book about conflicts, errors and how to make this work guide, is exhausting. It takes me days to set up all the mods, test run, and check for any CC that may have broken just so I can sit down and play.

My gameplay mod folder alone is 24.6 GB I want you to understand that 24.6GB is almost the size of one of my other PC games which is 30GB. Which means I have almost a completed games worth of gameplay mods and I don't think of it as cute and/or fun to have so many mods just to make a game do what it should have been doing in the first place.

People are running around saying: "oh but we have a mod for this" so what. Most of the popular mods exist b.c sims 4 has no soul. If EA wants to finally put a soul into the game I am not going to say but I have a mod. Please by all means add a soul so that the mod community can stop having to make their entire game for them. At this point it is just embarrassing. I have never played a game where the mod community had to build the entire soul of a game for the company b.c said company is so out of touch with what a game is supposed to be.

I'm only concerned that the attraction system will ruin my existing relationships, and not have any way to modify it or turn it off.

So my concerns are attached to the dress up suitcase.
    • Is that dance attached to it or can we dance like that anywhere?
    • Can sims autonomously do the dance if I set them to steamy relationship?
    • Are the costumes attached to the suitcase or can I assign any outfit I want to that suitcase
    • Can I assign that steamy dance stuff to a club?

I could swear commercials are supposed to sell you a product, but I don't even know what in this pack is actual game play and what is cinematic. I wish these trailers would properly show you the build/buy, showcase the cas, and then do a run down on the features instead of making movies that barely tell us anything about the product.

I don’t understand the not sharing location bit. Would that be Sims from the gallery you download or just townies not assigned to a world? Or an option you select as in ‘prefer not to say’? 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

The whole gallery idea is confusing me as I, assuming you need to be online for it to work? Or can you download Sims then go offline and those Sims are available for selecting? Can you choose which townies get selected or is all? 🤔

Liking Little Bistro Kit! French cafe vibes. 😊☕️🌞

I wonder this too! I hope it's not exactly like how we plan weddings because that means it may be more limited in activities and also would mean having a set itinerary for dates and i sometimes like to go with the flow and see where the night takes sims :D

It would definitely be nice if there are some activities that we are not aware of yet that come with this pack. And some cross-pack compatibility, lets say, with dine out, for dinner dates.

In a way, I wish they'd stop adding worlds altogether now. We have so many already, I'd much rather have more gameplay.
Oh, I love getting a new world with each game pack and expansion. It’s one of the things I anticipate most.

Just make your sims like some of the same things.

I hope we get a way to turn heart break deaths off, I want my single sims to be able to date a lot of people without worrying about my other sims ( or themselves ) dying of heart break. And I do want want to have to make single sims polyamorous for them not to die. My daughter has been wanting a romance pack for a long time, but is thinking of not getting this if you can’t turn that death off.

It may be part of the emotional deaths. I believe you can turn these off in the settings.

You can't. You need a mod for that.

I would be pleasantly surprised if kids aren't overlooked in this theme pack but I want them to be able to play hand clapping games like Down by the banks of the Hanky Panky, The M.A.S.H game, Paper Fortune Teller Origami or something together. I just feel games like that would fit the theme of the romantic pack. That's why I'm mentioning it. Kid's were able to play Miss Mary Mack in the Sims 2 together. I would love to see kids playing some of those games autonomously outside, so when your sims are walking down the street, they could notice the children playing. I know they say kids don't play outside anymore but I would love to see more fun social interaction between children.

I have a full world of Sims and have set their preferences and sincerely hope that this pack does not mess up my settings as it has done with past packs. They've even changed genders and race in past in families and couples and you get a male Sim originally made as female and a family of children of different races.
