while it's fun liking and disliking brands, the blank box on the end for any commentary is really the best opportunity to express your concerns and wishes.

Giving opinions about brands can be fun,... if you get brands you know or like. Saying I don't know this brand to all but one brand and then seeing the one brand you do know isn't even repeated in the do you like this brand section, feels pointless. Especially when reading afterwards that other people got themes that would have interested me.

Anyway I hope this doesn't mean we will have to click away adds during gameplay. After the shopping cart and the timed login event, I wouldn't be surprised if adds would be next.

yes, giving your opinion to the brands you like may seem like fun, but if it's a vote, I am scared, because I don't expect the masses to have the same taste as me, and if we have to get a pack based on majority rule, I'm not looking forward to playing a game style like Gap or Abercrombie & Fitch. Not everyone has extraordinary taste. J/k - not kidding lol-

What I fear is they are seeing who you heard of and who you haven't as a means to find the target audience to effectively introduce the product to. Trying to figure out if they asked me the questions based on my internet searches or my social media likes but it doesn't not seem to be related.

Also they got enormous backlash, I heard from the Moschino and Mac collaboration, from the community. I strongly disagree. Moschino is my absolutely favorite stuff* pack. I used to do fine art photography and was from a community of friends in the fashion industry. In fact, I was introduced to the Sims 1 from a fashion photographer who used to play and said many people in fashion like to play it. I couldn't imagine at the time but he said he knew a bunch from the community.

There are few eyeshadows I used from the officially catalog but there is one from MAC I used regularly. If they advertise with collaboration like they did Dark and Lovely, it doesn't seem intrusive, and adds value. I was surprised to see ASOS, but if they turned to them for styling outfits, I think I would like the game's catalog, and not need custom content as much as I feel I use now.

This is exactly what I think is coming. If EA can't get more money out of players to meet their yearly or quarterly numbers, they will go get it from advertising. Never mind that so many of us purchased this game outright before it went free to play.

I suspect that since Grant Rodiek left, they are fumbling with what to do with Project Rene, so they are moving forward with their original plans for that game onto Sims 4 instead/additionally. Of course, this is all just my own conjecture, but that's what I perceive.

    I finally did that survey.
I don’t even know what they were on about 85% of the time. I’m super jealous of those that got asked about interesting topics like Superheroes.

They interrogated me about fashion clothing brands. Of course they would. Just my thing. Not.
If me having to correctly identify fashion labels was a matter of life and death, we’d all be 6 feet under.

The trick is to read the words on those labels. They usually tell you what brands they are from. Hope this helps ❤️

Thanks for linking this for those of us who hadn't taken it. I got asked about brands and tv shows. I think some of this might be about understanding customer behavior, so they can get a picture of who the players are. I can understand asking about what tv shows we watch because they could creatively base packs on some TV shows or get an idea of what our interests are. They might refer to the brands to get an idea of the types of clothing that people want.

I definitely clicked that my main interest is with types of gameplay. I actually spent the longest on the questions about what features I use in the game and how I play the game. In some cases, it was limiting us to two options but I really play with all of the features. I'd say I'm mainly a gameplayer but sometimes I build. I also use CAS because I like playing with a lot of sims but I don't spend all of my time dressing Sims. I know there is a crowd that does.

I got asked about TV shows, anime, and comic books. But most of them were ones I am not very familiar with. It was kind of a weird survey.

That does help. Thank you. I think we’ll live. Aye. We’ll live.❤️

Ah rats. I identified two more potential issues:
    1. Let there be zero time limitations. I’m not only a fool, I’m also dyslexic. Reading labels takes time with two left eyes.
    2. No further interrogation please: If they were to ask me what kind of items are sold under these brands, we’ll be back to square one in no time. I’d better start digging after all.
