Okay, I know that the general reaction of players seems to be...meh, it's okay. But this is just my cup of steaming, spiked tea! This is the stuff that I used all the time in Sims 2 - the swingin' singles gameplay. Hookin' up and breakin' up, steamy affairs, unexpected chemistry, betrayal and heartbreak...oh. Oh, I just have to say it. If ever I needed to say this again, it would be now.
I'm really, so so sooooo excited about this pack, it's giving Sims 2 like crazy.
I've been waiting for this since the beginning of the game, romance is the most important thing in my games, so I'm really pleased with this theme, oh god hahaha
@LiELF I’m a hopeless romantic and the gameplay is looking like a dream come true. There’s so much depth being added to relationships that we’ve been missing. Romance storytelling is going to be amazing with this pack.
I’m with @Ellupelluellu about the new world. I can’t wait to see all of it!

@DaniRose2143 Right?! It looks like it's going to offer so many ways to play out romance so there's a great diversity in that, something for everyone. And I do agree with you and @Ellupelluellu that the world looks wonderful. I love how each district is different.
Trailers can always be hit or miss with people. The live stream is what I normally wait for to see if it really strikes me. I hated the eco lifestyle trailer, swore I would not get the pack, then did a complete 360 upon watching the live stream. I have learned to wait until I see actual gameplay before judging a pack, so while this trailer left me feeling kinda Meh, that may very well change with seeing more gameplay.
I'm really glad I read the blog before I watched the trailer. There so much more to it than was shown (although, Don being Don was rather funny ). Which is nice. If all these new systems work wel (and integrate well with other systems we have), it will really up the game.
I do hope some of the romantic things will be added to the basegame though. Like bed cuddling.
Also, I agree on the wallpaper, I need it like yesterday.
I see cute CAS, some of the tops will be perfect for my Halliwell sisters.
I see some nice build/buy as well, especially the plants and flower vases. I couldn’t care less about the heart bed as I find it very tacky (could be cute for a Barbie house or a Love Hotel type of building though). I hope we’re getting a normal looking bed as well. Oh and I like the new aquarium with an Axolotl
The world is nice, I like that we’re getting a more urban area. I haven’t seen any beaches though…..but there’s a curved pool.
I also like having a Latin American inspired residential world.
Cupid’s corner looks interesting. The eggplant costume….kinky!
I dont’ think it’s gonna have that much in terms of gameplay, but I hope I’m wrong.
I wonder what the new woohoo spot will be? These two are always looking for some place new for some good clean dirty fun.
at 0:45 in the trailer you can see sims going into what looks like a supply closet. looks like a reskin of the closet woohoo from GT but with a single closed door.
Do I think this looks like a game pack and a little empty? yes. But is it everything I've always wanted? Also yes. This has my biggest sim wants city world, cuddling in bed, and dating app. Love the new kiss animation. Ready to but that blanket in every park. Being able to have one-sided relationships is going to be so fun. The CAS is right up my alley. I have not seen a single hair I do not love.
Biggest thing I'm looking forwarded to is the free boundaries update. I've always wanted my sims to be able to date without jealousy. And then later introduce jealousy as they became committed.
@LiELF I’m going back and retelling Under the Tartosan Sun. There are so many things this pack will let me do to show Danielle’s failed romances before she decided to come out and met Londyn.
I already posted that this looks like not enough content for an EP elsewhere but I'll say this--it looks like it has WAY LESS potential to be buggy than other recent packs due to that fact.
Like, if some animations break or are clipped I can handle that, but I've had to dramatically decrease the amount of residential rentals I was going to use due to how game-breaking that system is. So for me, who has the disposable income to buy this at full price, that's a nice incentive to do so.
The only thing that I could see being buggy is the dating app, especially if as rumored you can choose from the gallery as well as the game. But that seems like a feature that's easy to ignore if it's annoying or buggy (like that stupid social app from High School Years which I completely ignore).
Other positives: I'm Latin American so thrilled about the city and the representation. It's a little "obvious" that they made us "the romantic pack" but I'll take it. The world looks great, reminds me of Coyoacán.

@DaniRose2143 You could do it in flashbacks, or like, a memory series too. But I get you. There's a bunch of relationships that I kind of want to redo now, but I think I'm just going to see how they flow from here and run with it.
WooHoo! Fall in Love with The Sims 4 Lovestruck Expansion Pack
You might even have your Sim renting a room at “Beso Rápido”, to get some much needed sleep or take their steamy date for a little tryst.
From parks where blankets can be set for picnics, to food stalls perfect for late night snacks, Sims can declare their love at any number of places in Ciudad Enamorada, each with its own unique charm and beauty.
Whether meeting for the first time, or setting up a sweet anniversary date, matching and dating in all its forms is now supported with custom “Ask to Create a Date” features that make for ideal date scenarios. These features allow players to customize their date by picking a date type, picking a venue, optionally inviting more Sims, and selecting the activities and goals for the date.
To add a little spice to the mix, new romantic interactions include a new kiss, a sultry dance and three new WooHoo spots.
Attraction represents how romantically matched (or mismatched) two Sims are. Sims will have Turn-ons and Turn-offs (personality and behavior elements that either raise or lower a Sim’s attraction to another Sim) that will define what they are or are not attracted to. This includes other Sims traits, clothing and hairstyles, and even certain interactions. Some Sims may be turned on by a sweet gift; some Sims might be turned off by gardening or fishing.
Free for all players is the new Romantic Boundaries system that will allow you to customize your Sim's experience with boundaries and jealousy. You can now define how your Sims approach romantic relationships in terms of physical and emotional romantic exclusivity. This allows for Sims to date multiple Sims without impact to other relationships.
Some things that stand out to me from the blog post.
- Possibility to rent a room at Beso Rapido - wonder if this is a rabbit hole type hotel?
- blankets can also be used for picnics not just woohoo
- so sweet that they can now have an anniversary date
- three new woohoo spots - we know there is the blanket, the closet room we saw in the trailer and now the rent room option described in the blog. Does this mean the bear rug is not for woohoo?
- turn on and turn offs - they don't say anything about including physical appearance like blond hair or dark skin.
- love the romantic boundaries, will certainly come in handy with all the new romance options
Im just glad we FINALLY have a new city, though Im going to be cautiously optimistic until I see the map and lot sizes. Some of the bb looks good, especially the neon signs will come in handy for some particular builds of mine.
I do like they added costumes for the "woohoo roleplay", and although the dancing attached to it looks...off...it adds a bit of spice that the game is in dire need of.
I'm so happy a dating app will officially come in the game and the new singles lot trait. This is will so helpful in finding dating options for my sims.
@Evilyn_1007 I haven’t had a chance to watch the trailer yet but I will after work. I’ve been the posts in here and I’m so excited to sit down and watch. Everything I’m reading is just getting me even more pumped up. 🙂
The most cryptic sequence of the trailer are the scenes in the penthouse. Is this meant to be a hotel with other guests (the gay couple in the cleaning room), a lobby (00:51, also notice another one-tiled bar) and finally the main characters reaching their room?
I saw a pet axolotl in an aquarium. And the axolotl lamp from before. But I honestly haven't seen much build buy that is exciting. The trailer reused a lot of base game assets.

Hey y'all. A little off topic but hopefully positive. I just wanted to let everyone know I will be doing a giveaway (2 copies) but not until the new forum opens.

I think they said we can rent rooms for a night.
They wouldn't introduce playable hotels so nonchalant. Or would they?
Very well, you won my curiosity, EA. It is easy to win though, so don't celebrate too early.
I am curious about the turn-on and turn-off choices. And if it will take likes and dislikes slots (which we now have 50, but I'll almost always go for about 45).
Eh, we have time. It's time for some waiting game then.
@LiELF This reboot is going back to when they started university. Before any of the couples met. In the original I alluded to their romantic past. Now I can show it. 😊

@DaniRose2143 Oh, that's great! That'll be a fun story!

I hope not XD, let's hope it's a new public lot with new traits. A gameplay would be good to know more about this pack.
