Why are they asking these questions? I have my fingers crossed for a fashion ep.

Saw that and it appears the questions are quite different for different people. A fashion EP would be lovely, but I think it's just going to be more small brand collaborations like with the menswear kit.

I think its weird that the questions change
I think they should have done separate forms

or made all those brand questions into one click a box thing (or if one page is not enough just one page of click a box per category of brands)

kind of worries me though that they seem to be looking for brand related ideas...especially after shopping fart and fomo event

Maybe they're hopeful that the shopping cart and login rewards won't deter simmers from purchasing future content. Or at least won't have a significant effect on sales.

I'm still disappointed I didn't get questions about books instead of music artists. I could've actually answered the ones about books as reading is my other hobby.

I thought the unknown fashion labels/celebrities would never end ...

I got that survey! Mine was asking about various Superhereoes from Marvel and DC, plus Anime! So I hope we get those in an EP!

I think the questions were tailored to the play preferences you chose. I specified Occult and fantastical play, so I got more fantastical questions.

Why are the questions in the video so different from mine. Not a single questions about build buy. I got a ton of unknown labels which I assume are beauty products because MAC was listed. Fashion brands like shown in the video would have made more sense.

I would have likes questions about build/buy mode but didn't get any.

I wonder if it has to do with location. The brands were before age and gender. By the way, my answers for age groups were different as well. I could answer below 27 and above 45 but the option in between was missing?

Maybe you will get different questions depending on what you will select in the beginning. I got questions about B/B and CAS and what I was mostly interested in when it came to that. I was mostly interested in accessories and decorations/clutter, we have so few of that. I want more glasses, modern accessories and decorations like kitchen clutter.

After that I got questions about different "sports" brands, Formula One, NHL, NFL etc. and after those I got a long selection of different comics, anime and superheroes that I might have heard of and which one I liked. It was a lot of "not interested" on those... I only know of some superheroes from the movies, I have never really gotten into comics. I was interested in anime for a short while when I was younger so I selected Cowboy Bebop because I remember that one being great.

Lastly I got a question about different games I had played the last months, since the timespan was so short there was not many games I could select there, I have played games like Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim but that was years ago. I did select Diablo 4 and Grounded because I have played those games recently.

They seem to be pretty interested in what their audience might like but I'm not sure what real life brands, comics and anime have to do with the sims.

I'm curious what everyone will answer.

This sounds exactly like the survey I got. I think they were trying to gage the interests of players to prioritize for future packs and kits.

They did say that they had planned to keep Sims 4 going alongside Project Rene, so they may be mapping out the next series of content. In the past, devs have said that they usually plan way ahead for a three year schedule of packs. I don't know for sure if they still do it this way, just speculating.

They must plan ahead because it takes them about 2 years to develop and finish a pack.

I got sports clothing furniture makeup and celebrities so far
(I did it couple times to see the options but just finished the survey once)
its so useless to ask me about things in these categories though :joy:
I literally either really dislike something or idk what it is and hence no opinions
should have gotten the tv shows or something

First off, thanks so much for including a link. You saved me so much time searching for it.

I love that the survey asks you about Attack on Titan. As if they'll take the feedback and make a pack where where war, racial discrimination and genocide are the overarching themes. That'd be one way to add more drama and conflict into your sims' lives.

Putting my onions and opinions here. Curious to see what others put as their answers.
I put simulation bugs and technical performances as "Extremely Impactful" for obvious reasons. I was torn on representation because I'd love more Mediterranean worlds and culture, it would be great to have that. But I don't think it'd be executed well, since they sort of peaked with Jungle Adventure and never managed to replicate its success. So it'd be important for me to have rep, but I'm not sure they'd do it well enough for me to appreciate it.

When asked how I play The Sims 4, I picked Help my Sim progress through life by advancing skills, careers, hobbies, and Experience fantasy Sim-types (e.g., werewolf Sim-type.)

For my overall satisfaction with recent pack and kit releases in The Sims 4, I put Very Dissatisfied. Kits are just way too frequent, we're not getting Game Packs, and most of the recent EPs have been disasters in one way or another. (Not you, GroT. You should have been a basegame update, the game needs you. But As you are, you're great and I love you.) I want the new content, but things have been so bungled lately.

For the 2 EP aspects I like most, I chose New Sim traits, aspirations and careers, and The new gameplay features added to the pack. I was tempted to put world size, to show that I really care about bigger worlds. But gameplay won out in the end. At least I have Brindleton Bay to play in.

I put Architectural design tools as Slightly satisfied. I don't have anything against painted ceilings, but curved walls are a broken mess 2 years later. Tbh I just put Slightly Satisfied for nearly everything else too, since I feel like there's a severe lack in variety with certain categories, and it doesn't help that the game has a serious color-matching problem. I just want to make every house look like a 1920's art deco-inspired hotel. Let me live my Great Gatsby dreams.

Not at all satisfied with Story lines/modes (eg robust stories, lore.) I prefer environmental storytelling, exciting backstories and personal drama over characters vomiting their personal stories onto me. Sims 2 is the gold standard for lore, but I loved how Sims 3 households had so many crazy implications, mystery and creativity put into their most townie households. With Sims 4, all you get is, "Hey, I'm nonbinary and everyone is cool with it. I like working at an art easel and I'm married to my high school sweetheart. My mom's dad's brother-in-law's friend's cousin's uncle's step-fiancee died while cooking pancakes. They were the half-mother of this NPC from another pack you can buy right now." Slightly Interested in seeing them since they're better than nothing, but it's not a selling point for me in its current state.

Slightly satisfied with Animals and creatures. I like what we have (aside from the fact that we can't keep certain animals as pets), but I feel like we desperately need an expansion on what we have. More small pets. An overhaul to pet fish, frogs and bugs. I love animals so much, let me love them. Completely Interested in seeing more of them in the future.

Moderately satisfied with Occult and supernatural features. Spellcasters were underbaked, mermaids are boring, and PlantSims are a joke. But vampires and werewolves were done well. The biggest issue I have is that we don't get enough of them. I keep saying this, but we used to get them in every expansion pack in The Sims 2 and 3. In the Sims 4, we'd get maybe one every other year. And now we're getting even less than that. Sims 4, fill my game with occults and I would be making it rain for you. Completely Interested in seeing more of them in the future.

I appreciate them at least considering more accessible brands than Moschino, but I'm done with having them force product placement into my game without my consent. I'm also pretty sour over brand collabs considering the MAC and Star Wars collabs were total messes.

But if they HAD to collab with brands, I want them to pick Marvel. I'm a superhero pack truther. Also, the X-Men brand aligns so, so well with the Sims: it has more LGBT heroes than any other mainstream hero franchise, X-Men are diverse and feature mutants from all around the world, depicts people with disabilities, and often carries social messages that promote inclusivity and attacking people with telekinesis. I will be a consultant on that pack and I will do it for peanuts. Seriously, ask me about X-Men. I can tell you about the X-Men. I will write you a 14k essay about Hellion. You want to know how he lost his hands? I can tell you about how he was right about everything ever, or how he is better than every other X-Man. Also, they asked if I heard about Batman twice.

I don't like how they ask you about other games you've played recently, and the vast majority are freemium.

I agree 200% about the X-Men! They would be such a great fit for The Sims, and who doesn't love the X-Men or have a mutant they relate to? I can't even count the times I've found myself sobbing like the world was ending (because sometimes it was!) over those heart-wrenching comics. Incredible stories. Glorious. And an inspired pack done well could bring crime back to the game, raise the stakes in gameplay, and also allow us to play misunderstood villains.

Also, I fully support you as a consultant for this pack. B)

I can't remember all my choices anymore tbh but in nutshell included the notion that nothing matters if the game is broken, liked all the occult and gameplay options

and explained the choices in the last box (such as not being satisfied with latest packs because latest pack is broken)

I also put dislike for some brands including Ikea, Coca-Cola, McDonalds in that form I actually sent in first can't remember what else was on it tho

Attack on Titan sims would be pretty cool tho :joy: I only watched first season back in the day tho so idk what I really think of it

I got way too many questions about clothing and other brands that I never heard of, nor care about. It would have been so much easier if they just asked whether you care about brand collabs in the first place. Would've saved me a lot of time.

I got a lot of brands I'd not really heard of, but that might be because I'm in the UK and maybe we don't have some of them here. Off the top of my head I only remember Ikea and Breville, both of which I knew (most of the furniture in my flat came from Ikea).

I recognized a lot of the brands in my survey.

Door Dash, Uber Eats. Probably because I order a lot. 😄 Coke, Pepsi, Doritos, MAC cosmetics, Fenty cosmetics, Apple, Porsche. No I don't have a Porsche. Vitamin water, Disney, Universal Parks, Samsung. WWE, NBA, NHL, NFL, NASCAR.

No clothing, music, celebrities, movies, or furniture.
