Just now during gameplay Callia received a call saying "is this Vinnie?" There were two options "Who" and "Yes" I clicked on Yes to see what happens, then some random sim turns up, enters Callia's house, breaks her TV and these two pop up's come from her!
If you use Carl's Dine Out Mod, i discovered an issue with it that was preventing "replace" on the repair menu appearing when an object broke on any lot. I removed the mod and the "replace" option returned.
A few months before Infants dropped, I had to restart my game save. Problem is, my Global Superstar had already placed his tile. When this new save proved to be the one I wished to use going forward, I was troubled that he wouldn't have a tile on the Avenue. I even tried removing his Global Superstar status so he had to achieve it again. That didn't cure the problem. I was then informed that this achievement is actually attached to the Sim itself! Another, very kind player gave me the cheat code to remove the tile achievement from my Sim's name, since I was playing the very same Sim.
I have since decided to restart the family, beginning at a much earlier time in their lives. Trouble is, the same Sim will become a Rock Star, that much won't change. However, realizing and recalling the problem I had before, I have searched through a plethora of my notes. Can't find the cheat code I need. The Internet very kindly informed me there was no such cheat. Face/palm. I'm hoping somebody who reads this will know exactly the code I need to allow my Sim to once again be able to place a tile when he gets to that stage in his life.
If not, my only recourse the walkaround the Internet gave me, which is to change his name, have him gain fame, et al, and lay his tile. Then change his name back to what it is now. However, and this just occurred to me, the tile wouldn't be in the correct name.

Why not with MCCC or in CAS change his name/ spelling to Ericson or Spell it Erick that way you have changed the name to just a different spelling but its still Eric

When renovating houses do you keep in mind where outlets/connections are located (i.e. new toilet in same spot as old one)?
No. You can rearrange the bathroom/kitchen any which way you like, won't make a difference on how the appliances/plumbing works. You can even knock out walls.

I want to try some new things is this game. Of course watching YouTubers like Vixella, Kelsey Impicciche, and lilsimsie struggle with the 100 BC does make me scared for that challenge but it does look like A LOT of fun. Challenging and likely chaotic and frusterating but fun.
@kusurusu I think the one place I care about that is chimneys and fireplaces. I like to have fireplaces lined up with a chimney on the roof, and fireplaces on multiple floors lined up with each other.

That is entirely up to you. If I get a house/lot from the Gallery, and I believe the bathroon(s) are laid out poorly, I don't hesitate to make changes. Because, even in reality, plumbing can be moved.
@Fairy_Happy I've heard of the others, but what is pack Legacy? I have played Pinstar's Legacy Challengein Sims 2, 3 & 4. It's a great way to explore the game itself. I experienced many 'firsts' in Sims2 that way, which I never had just in playing. I also learned to play with autonomy on. Way more fun. Good luck on achieving your goals, and have fun!
@GalacticGal The Pack Legacy is a challenge where each generation focuses on a certain pack. This is a good challenge for people who have a lot of packs but never explored them fully. The one I found and am going to be following was made by a YouTuber named RosannaTxt. Here are the rules and explanation of the challenge.
I really need to stop resetting my saves and just play already. If I just played as much as I restarted over the years I tell ya I would be in the 150th generation by now.
I have a restarting problem in every game I play, no matter what game it is: Zelda, Animal Crossing, Pokemon. Just constantly restarting for no reason other than restarting. Freaking ADHD...

That's the thing, I don't really like playing like that. I would like to actually accomplish something in these games. I get that it's a me problem. though. XD
I think I know what my problem is though. Each of my saves have a backstory and each focuses on different things. My Opposites Attract couple is the one I've been playing the most. This is a save that focuses on Sims raising a family and having a career. It's not a legacy family, yet I keep treating it like it is, and feeling bad for cheating them into a house I built specially for them. The backstory is Derek inherited the house from is very rich grandparents but it has cheap furniture and he and his fiancée Genesis moved into the house and will upgrade the furniture as they earn more money and start their family. I will change the backstories of my Sims instead of how I'm playing. It makes it easier for me to have a backstory for my Sims so I will have a foundation to play off of.
Every since I dropped my favorite Rodeo Drive lot from the gallery back to over the art museum art center, the award ceremony no longer give out award. I supposed if I want the awards to work again I have to put it back, and then renovated to something that does 'nt look so absurd. Is it just me or does it look more like a giant arena for concerts? I think I might change it to that and have my sims perform there. I think that might works as an art center.
I'm literally yelling at my Sims right now. So much for a nice wind down of Sims after work. So I'm playing my Opposite Attract couple, Genesis and Derek. They have a daughter Amaya, who is currently an infant. I tell them multiple times to FEED HER. They completely ignore me or just stand there dumbfounded and confused and then the threats of her getting taken start happening to the point where I had to cheats her needs up, which I hate doing but I didn't want her taken away.
Well now that her needs are up, here comes Genesis and Derek to save the day and now they won't leave her alone. They keep checking infant when infant is fine now no thanks to them. Also their dog is about to get put up for adoption.
Why don't Sims listen? I like how the tagline for this game is Smarter Sims, which is as far for the truth. They are not smarter, not by a long shot. -_-
