Nice to see them adding new interactions, good that cuddling in bed is back.

Family Dynamic is only within sims in the same household so I'm not sure how the new Relationship Dynamic (wholesome, steamy, strained or unpredictable) is going to work. If it only works with sims in the same household then that sounds a bit limited.

I'm skeptical about how well the dating app is going to work and you setting up dates, it really isn't anything special in the normal game.

We almost already have Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs with the compatibility mechanic so I dunno, maybe this one will focus more on the sims appearance and romantic interactions will have more or less of a chance to succeed based on them.

Making romance into a skill does sound like a good idea and allowing us to unlock interactions will make it more interesting. I'm skeptical about the Romance Consultant career, getting other sims to like each other without actually playing them is pretty difficult in the normal game.

Good that the new world will have 3 neighborhoods.

I'm not seeing any new gameplay items from the leak apart from the romantic blanket.

I like that they are improving romance and adding more to it but it sounds a bit thin for an expansion pack.

As I've said in a previous thread discussing the near future, I don't see the point of making an entire EP just about romance, but let's see what else it will come with. Turn-ons and turn-offs are long overdue, but I hope the new dating app won't be intrusive and can be switched off for people who don't want to date. Which is the vast majority of my sims, I don't care much about romance in general, so at least I can't be disappointed if this turns out to be another shallow flop.

Regardless, I'll probably get the pack sooner or later for the world anyway. "Ciudad Enamorada" has to be the lamest and most uninspired world name we've had so far (we might as well call Glimmerbrook "Ville enchantée" from now on, and Forgotten Hollow "Città dei vampiri"), but that says nothing about its size and beauty. I reckon the world might actually be the highlight of the pack (as it has often been in the past, for better or worse).

The world itself will be my only shopping point. I know many simmers long for a romance pack, but my game is not focusing a lot on that. My poor sims normally don't get a chance to find a natural partner, as I force them together in order to save my gaming time for more interesting adventures ;) The world though sounds like perfect match with my existing map, as the only vacant spot left is on the southern coast of the same region as Oasis Springs and Chestnut Ridge. Meditarranean-to-arid sounds to fit Ciudad Enamorada pretty well. Now, I'm crossing fingers and toes that at least one hood of the new city will come with a coast and harbor etc.

When does the forum close? I think the EP must come out after the forum closes because of this post.

    Sul Sul, everyone!

I've been dreading this one, but I don't think I can realistically push this off any longer, it's time for the final screenshot thread on these forums 😢
    ...

Now for the last time, show me what ya got!

I think the new forum will be running some time in July, so it will probably (intendedly) get a flying start with the new EP. It's a pity though if all speculations will go lost with the old forums.

Wow, & I thought Jungle Adventure's Savadorada was hard to pronounce. However, I love the fact that we're getting a Spanish World. <3 I'm deeply in my Medieval Game Save right now & Spain is very much needed. Also, I'll need to make a decision whether to leave my Zorro household in Oasis Springs or move them to the actual Spanish world in my Georgian-Victorian Game Save. Decisions, decisions.

I’m concerned that this pack description is everything there is. For the latest EPs we’ve got excited wondering if there’d be e.g. unicorns (horse ranch) or tigers/elephants etc (For Rent) — but no, there was nothing other than what was described in the pack info (and with rabbitholes, actually *less* than we expected). If this is the case this time, it’s just more dynamics (building on what we have in Growing Together), some romantic interactions (which are nice), a new skill, a new dating app (building on Social Bunny?), a new career, a lot trait, a world (and no doubt some great BB and CAS) … but that’s it?

Maybe it’ll all add up to something that substantially improves gameplay, but at the moment I’m not sure. I guess I’m not the target audience anyway as I wasn’t asking for more romantic stuff and am happy with what the game currently has on that front.

Regardless, I’m sure I’ll get the pack at some point, even if it’s just for the world.

I think it'll be great to have these mechanics in game instead of having to rely on mods. My hope for turn-offs and turn-ons is that it includes a mechanic that allows the romance bar to progress more quickly or more slowly for the two Sims involved. So your Sim might fall for a Sim, but have to get to know him or her better before they return the interest. So the romance bar on one may be halfway filled, but the other is barely started or even still just friends.

My fear for the turn-offs and turn-ons is that they will be randomly applied to premade Sims and not fit them at all. I hope time is taken to give them ones that make sense based on their current partners. Do Bob and Eliza have something that brought them together in spite of their incompatibility or have they completely lost interest in one another?

Or possibly, prior premades won't have these set at all. Is there a way for these to develop in game?

Selvadorada is made up of two words, selva and dorada and means Golden Jungle.

There was a chocolate box in the pictures. Maybe will be some new foods too. Maybe a chocolate harvestable? Can't wait to find out more.

They did show a lake and a river in the roadmap. Maybe not a harbor, but would love a lake that sims can row boats on and maybe go for romantic boat rides.

Since it seems to be based off Mexico or at least Central America, I hope it looks like the Mayan Riviera/Cancun with beautiful beaches. And maybe apartment buildings and house by the beach. It does show apartment towers on the roadmap after all.

Oh, I might like my sim being abled to cook/craft some chocolate snacks either to gift at a date or to sell in retail store. Hoping...

We already have "chocoberry" from Cottage Living. But it would be nice to have proper cacao nuts.

I don't think this is Cancun beachy. I'm hoping for inland Mexico, like a traditional village.

In fact, we have chocoberry since Luxury Party hahaha

What I really hope is the attraction system considering physical appearance like hair, eyes, body type and traits. Besides I wish those new dynamics change by their own and not need for us to click yes or no

No mention of hotels. Had they been a part of the pack it would have been mentioned. Like others have already said, this definitely seems like a very nice GP sold at EP price. I will definitely get it at some point, when it cost about the same as a GP normally does.
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!

They didn't mention a lot of things, and quite a lengthy paragraph was dedicated to those early buy bonuses. Granted this was not official information, but still makes one wonder. That's why I'm looking forward to the trailer and the blog.

I believe we nee to accept that the inflation that just hit the (RL) world also affects gaming industry. It would be crazy that TS4 packs kept the level of content at the same sale price forever. It's been about 10 years and we must either accept increased price or less content. So, it seems the new standard is less content. It's no big deal I think, but it could explain why we might not see GPs in a while, and the return of SP. Any business needs to adjust their strategy to survive, from time to time. That's just how the world works, and it will never ever change ;)

I'm basically happy as long as the EP offers a new world (that is well done) and a theme that adds to most games.

I am not sure is fair to judge the pack has less content.
The pack will come with a new world with three neighborhoods.
    A new skill
    A new semi active Career
A new system turn off and turn ons satisfaction points .
    A new app

People have been looking forward to a bunch new animations related to romance and they only mentioned the cuddle in bed. I really hope there is more than that.

1 phone UI update with a new UI application and some new sentences for tasks in the events
1 CAS likes and dislikes category addition & 4 new options for the dynamics
1 new career (most probably a non active one )
    1 lot trait
Of course a world with the usual case and build items. (probably another 12 lot world with fake dressing)
this definitely doesn't look like an expansion pack barely even a gamepack

but with enough new animations and maybe many new interactable objects the 40$ price still wouldn't be justifiable.
but if we don't get much of that either then this pack is another cheap bad lackluster pack. they have the opportunity in 40$ packs like this that are very broad, to add for example malls to the game which if you have get to work can own and run a shop in the mall. they can add activities like golf etc...a heart-shaped hot tub everything, that is still missing but they won't bother.

That image is only 2 steps away from looking like one of those steamy adventures book covers. I assume that was the intention. :D

Regardless of the fact that the leaked description could fit in an ant's shoe, I do hope the leaked pack is as powerful as the leaked title and that the leaked turn on/off system is as meaningful as we officially need it to be.

Cuddling in bed is something I'd like to see in a free update, but I suppose that kind of romance doesn't come for free anymore.
I initially thought the teary eyed eyeliner is also part of a new system: crying sims that wear eyeliner get the crying banshee look. Ah, that would have been nice, alas, it's probably not to be.

I'm old school, so I have no idea how dating apps work, although it would be fun to be able to set up a blind date but to also have an option to send love letters (the snailmail kind) to a potential lover. And of course break-up letters to the twasn't meant to be - head cases, with the replies ofcourse being the best part.

As for the heartshaped bed, it's only interesting if we're dealing with the actual factual Vibromatic version, otherwise what's the point?
I wouldn't be too thrilled if it's just a bed.

A new Romance skill seems cool, hope it's tied to WooHoo performance.

Don Lothario should have this skill maxed out in new saves.

I disagree because it would take out the fun of skilling him up yourself :) and I also feel like he shouldn't be 10 if the romance skill is about more than the woohoo side of things

In a pre-release patch I'd like to see them fixing the graphics of the compatibility system. It should be possible to see whether a relation is good or amazing. Adding a dot or color should not be that difficult. I hate needing to point at each sim to check the level of goodness, just to forget it again right after. Never quite understood how this detail could be forgotten - maybe the negative compatibility comes with 2 levels too, how would I know when never pointing at those?

Well, a lot of people talked like that about horse ranch too….. but I happen to love horse ranch. I love the horses, the world, the build buy ( one of my favorites in the game ), and the CAS. Yes I would have preferred not to have a rabbit hole tournament because I hate rabbit holes. Not having rabbit holes is the reason I stayed with sims 4 because they had few of them in the beginning. I also would rather have more lots in each pack, but smaller worlds is becoming more standard. I am glad we get workd with all of our expansions, and most of our game packs too.

I have been wanting a romance pack for a long time, and we are going to have turn on’s and turn off’s, so I’m excited! I personally don’t care much about an online dating App, but there are many others out there that do! I like that there will be a singles lot, and there will be a dynamics system! I’m happy to see this pack be an expansion pack. It would be nice to have extra activities like golf and malls, but I mostly want to see lots of romance interactions! So, I’m hoping there are a good deal of them. I am excited about the pack!
