First off, good pack name. A little simple, but it's more creative than the super literal or awkward-sounding stuff we usually get. Horse Ranch. For Rent. Island Living (Not Island Paradise, not Island Adventure. Just Living. Whoo.) Cottage Living. Eco Lifestyle. Discover University. Cats & Dogs.
That doesn't sound like a lot of content, tbh. Part of it feels like a missing part of Growing Together, or My Wedding Nightmares. I don't wanna doomsay without even getting a trailer, but given how shallow EPs have been lately, I suspect this one won't be anything to write home about. A lot of it seems to be passive gameplay, which is pretty lame for an Expansion. But I'm hype for turn-ons and turn-offs, and having more relationship dynamics is great. I'm curious about the romantic satisfaction thing - that could be a fun innovation, and I like the idea that your sims have to actively keep the spark alive.
The world sounds so generic, like take out the Lot Trait and you can apply that description to almost any world in the game. BUT I'm up for a Spanish or LatAm world. I'm hoping for Spain, but my main family is Sim-Latino (Selvadoradian), so having a Latin world they can live in could help bring them a little closer to their roots.
A new Romance skill seems cool, hope it's tied to WooHoo performance. The new career isn't my cup of tea, but I'm always happy to see new careers regardless.
Wish we got Paris as a world, because when else are we realistically gonna get a Paris world? I doubt we'd get an entire Expansion out of art or exploring the catacombs. It's bad enough they gave us Japan, focused less on Japanese-exclusive culture and experience, and instead put more emphasis on winter sports and activities. Granted, I LOVE the winter activities. But I don't associate them with Japan, even if they do have snow scenes in some places.)

The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017

Sims should have new ways to propose marriage. What happened to dinner table marriage proposals? It should have been included in my wedding stories or maybe dine out though.
Like folks thought, a dating app is confirmed. Though I expect it to be somewhat annoying to use if a lot of the Sims on the app are just randomized and ugly townies (even worse for CC users). Could be useful in a save with plenty of premades to work with, though.
Always down for new intimate interactions, except... after seeing the dancing in My Wedding Stories and a lot of the base-game romantic actions, I don't expect it to look anything other than childish. It'd be great to be proven wrong on this, but I won't hold my breath. I also find it a little funny we have to buy a whole expansion pack just to get proper bed cuddling that may end up looking too "safe" anyway, heh.
A "date-planning system"? Eh... with how the game works and how lots are, I don't expect much from this and the rest of the paragraph doesn't give much hope for me that dates are going to get much better. Sims can already "connect" by playing games, for example.
I am interested in Turn-Ons/Offs, though. Anything to make Sims more unique and have some depth to them. Having to maintain Romantic Satisfaction sounds interesting. Usually, once my Sims have maxed out romance (which really isn't hard), they don't have to put much more effort into the relationship, so something that forces it could be cool. We'll have to see how it's implemented, though. When talking, my Sims autonomously flirt often, so if that's all it takes to keep satisfaction up and reach a "steamy" relationship dynamic, this may be a miss. I'd rather it means that Sims also have to go on the occasional date and WooHoo frequently enough too.
Heh, didn't see a Romance Skill coming, guess some inspiration from mods is showing up there (though mods have covered a lot of the gameplay here anyway). I hope the "seductive interactions" are completely new ones, though, and not reused animations.
A romance career. I didn't see this coming either, but I'm down. I could (probably) work with that.
Finally, a Latin city is very welcome. Though I concur with the above, I am in need of a Paris-themed world, but all in all, can't complain. Though there's the risk that this world will be yet another small one. Sure, it's 3 neighborhoods, but there is Del Sol Valley.
TL:DR: So far, keeping the game's track record with itself, EPs, and My Wedding Stories in mind, nothing about the leak screams "preorder" to me. Or even to pick it up at release. Of course, a trailer will reveal more, but so far, I'm not disinterested, but not very hyped either.
ACTUALLY one thing I'm hoping for is for sims to have 3+ people WooHoo together, AND have a child with three biological parents. I know the latter doesn't make sense IRL, but it's the Sims and we already have science babies.
I would never struggle to pick between possible sim partners again, because now they can just date everyone or have a harem. Or I could have three sims with wildly different genetics create some wild combinations. It would lead to a ton of glitches, but it would be so much fun.

I think a Guru tweeted in the past expressing interest in trying to add polyamory to the game. Maybe this expansion will do it. I've my doubts, though.
They have already revealed we are getting Paris with Project Rene. That may be why they would skipped it with the Sims 4.
I am pretty sure the world is Latin American themed, based on the building provided in the image of product packaging- first image of the three you can see more of the world
I love Selvadorada but it's is only vacation world. It's really hard to represent one city for all of Latin America because they are all different. I am excited about is a new world with warm weather all year round. The clothing as wellreveals it will be a tropical weather enviroment.
You can see from this image the common sim in all the photos is engaging in dating different people, so that aspect will be new.
Can't wait to see the trailer. So nice to see the heart bed and what looks like a box of chocolates. Also, wonder if the romantic blanket can be used for a picnic or it's just a modern version of the bear rug.
in the picture where she is crying
it looks like the bed has no frame, but maybe you can unlock the headboard somehow to add to the bed
Her eyes...
Looking like she is just transformed from titan to human.
Meh, I’m not super excited. The actual gameplay of this pack seems pretty shallow, and seems like just reskinned mechanics from Growing Together, like I don’t see how their romantic compatibilities and dynamics are all that different from the Growing Together ones.
But also, I’m currently in the middle of a breakup, so a whole pack based around romance is maybe not the thing I’m looking for at the moment. Maybe that’s my personal bias clouding this 💀💀
The thing that most appeals to me is just the potential of another city world. Are we finally getting another urban environment other than San Myshuno?
But overall, I’m not all that interested, personally.
Oh also, to all those speculating a Parisian world, my hot take is that we’re not going to ever get a Parisian inspired world for TS4. Since Project Rene will come out relatively soon in a couple years, and their initial world seems Parisian inspired, I doubt they’ll make a similar world for TS4.
After all, they don’t want to have to compete against themselves. People who want to play in a Parisian inspired world will be encouraged to play Rene. So by excluding a Parisian world from TS4, they can get more players for Project Rene.
They at least want us to *believe* that the heart bed is an unlockable
Other than that, looks like more of a game pack than an EP, I definitely don't want to pay $40 for this unless more features come to light... (like expanded neighborhood stories where NPCs will actually form relationships and marriages?)...
and of course I don't want to buy broken stuff so as usual I'll wait to see whether it is buggy or not
I just realized they called the city unforgettable
maybe thats why I was so not excited about it I desire more places that are Forgotten 🦇 not unforgettable

Now that you bring that up- is there a world from a previous pack this could be like?
I'm not familiar with the worlds in sims 2 and three as I stopped playing Sims 2 before the first expansion pack.
But others talk about how this world is like that world of previous packs.
Imma be real if this is all we're getting then I dont see how this is all going to be worth a full $40. $20 as a GP, yeah I can get behind it! But $40 though? Ive already been using mods that cover the same exact features, so there's really nothing new going on. And Im not paying that much for what is going to undoubtedly be an empty new world.
And how interesting that we would have two packs focused on love instead of just one but anywhoooo
Im going to need convincing that this possible EP is worth the price and is alot bulkier than what Im seeing. Otherwise this is something to get at a deep discount.
I could not care less about heart shaped bed, I never understood the hype Never used the bed in ts2. But I suppose it's great if it finally is there for all who so desperately want it.
More romance interactions and animations would be cool. Turn ons and offs would be cool too if done well. There has been "tiny" history that these things aren't balanced well We shall see about that
Imo bit too early to start saying it should be a GP
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..
I could not care less about heart shaped bed, I never understood the hype Never used the bed in ts2. But I suppose it's great if it finally is there for all who so desperately want it.
I just love it for being all kinds of silly 😂
modern decor can be such a bore sometimes
especially when playing sim like Don Lothario
man just needs some fun in his life before I ruin it
I was wondering when we’d get the leak as I thought one must be due about now
Henford Hen says the world is Mexican-inspired. That makes sense to me from the look of the roadmap and the info in this leak.
Henford Hen also previously said that this EP would feel more like a GP than any previous EP, and from the description here that also seems to make sense. Three neighbourhoods in the world is good, though, and I’m sure the world will be beautiful. I’m excited to see more about that — even though I don’t think we actually need any more worlds now. But as for the actual gameplay … It all sounds pretty thin. I’m sure these features will be nice to have, and a new career might be fun, but as others have said, a lot of this does sound like content that should have come in other EPs.
Sims romantic attraction is now based on personality - Figure out their compatibility, then heat up their love life with new romantic social interactions
Give the Sim of your dreams a longing gaze, go for a slow dance and top it off with a dramatic dip kiss
Live it up in fun and style - over 125 new items objects & items including a DJ station, photo booth, karaoke machine and more.
Exotic new Sims to mingle or date including vampires, hot waiters and more
Doll up and head out: chill out at mellow lounges, dance the night away at nightclubs, enjoy candlelight dinners at fine restaurants or hit the bowling alley with the guys and become the ultimate king of the pins
This is the original promotion text from Sims 2 "Nightlife". Note the extras, which where introduced with that pack (vampires, restaurants, bowling alleys).
But that isn't bad for me, because Nightlife was one of my favourite packs in Sims 2.
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.
I do wonder what the Romance Consultants will do, will they be like matchmakers or more like woohoo therapists? Also, wonder if there will be a new festival in the city. I looked on google and Ciudad Enamorada appears to be some kind of music show on Telemedellín.
I mean, it’s giving TS2 Nightlife just by the description (besides the world) which is what I’ve been waiting for! I’m surprised it’s an EP, but I’m looking forward to seeing all the content, assuming it’s real!
Turn-ons and Turns-offs, cool!! I may be more interested in this EP than I thought.
« Ciudad Enamorada » City in Love….I think a Mexico style world is pretty much confirmed. That and the sims on these puctures. It says three neighborhoods, now let’s hope they have 5 lots each….
I like some of the CAS I’m seeing (the yellow pants and cropped tops).
Can’t wait to see the Build/Buy (that bed even though It looks weird (on purpose) without a bottom sheet, is one of the most « normal » contemporary looking beds so far).
