I hope it's a Game Pack, myself. In many ways they worked better than a full expansion pack. Oh, well, we'll see what we see. Any hint as to when it drops?

It has already been confirmed by EA/Maxis it will be a Flirtatious EP, not a GP.

Let's see some examples of heartbreak as well as heart-make.

I hope for more variety on reactions to going steady, proposals etc. A chance that a coward/shy/goofball sim deeply in love will faint when the chosen sim makes contact for the first time, or even when asked to go steady etc. Someone with a high romantic skill should react differently than a sim with low skills. And I want non-committable sims to make a scene when turning any romantic offer down.

In TS2 I think there was a glow above the head of sims with good chemistry match. I hope it will be less obvious this time. It's more fun if you need to work harder to find the better partner, especially if the reactions will vary.

I do wonder how the compatibility system we have will work with the romance system. Would it be possible to have sims that are incompatible but who are deeply attracted to one another?

Subtle interactions like cuddling in bed. Would be interesting to see Sims who are in love touch one another if they pass, but considering that Sims will happily barrel past one another to "greet" each other, I highly doubt we'll see that. I'd like to see sims' relationships being a thing in the game -- like, the ability to give keepsakes, to talk about special memories, to celebrate anniversaries. I try to get sims married on holidays (especially Love Day, for obvious reasons) so they can celebrate their anniversaries as well. Same reason Christmas is often a age-up day for sims, even if they could have waited a bit.

I believe that the glow in TS2 was only when you used the "Scan Room" self-interaction. It would light up Sims who were a possible match. Otherwise, you had to interact with Sims to find out if there was any chemistry or not. I do miss chemistry. I hope it's worked into the pack.

I really want to see the return of resentment/revenge actions after a bad date, like stealing your newspaper, knocking over your trash barrel, or leaving the flaming poo on your porch (or the Sims 4 equivalent, like trash talking a Sim or breaking something in their yard). I doubt they'll put these types of reactions in because they always skew the game in favor of happiness and candy-sweet nicey-nice and seem to avoid most negative relationships unless the Sim is an Occult. :/ But I still hope they did something for it. Real people are petty, man. It's a life simulator. Can we please have some simulations of the bad side of people for a change? It makes the game interesting!

Speaking of occults I hope I can make everyone, even werewolves, find vlad absolutely irresistible with turn ons for vampirism, grey hair and logic skill 🥰

or should we have separate turn on for hissing? I think we should, there should most definitely be sims that find hissing very hot

Oh yes, hissing is such a turn-on. I'm quite sure that's how my Dracula snagged his three Brides. 😍

I now wonder if the reason why Agnes C. is single is her hissing? If it can be a torn-on it should also be a turn-off, and I reckon her version might fall into the latter category...

Very much so. I've begged for this since the base game and Maxis listened.

Perhaps am an old phoompf but think sims are already over the top in romancing. They'll go after anything that breathes all on their own. Why not have a pack that takes us back to a pre-modern era? Say, Regency, Victorian, or the 'Roaring 20s'?

I hope that we can turn off the heartbreak death,…I’m glad we are getting eyelashes either in the basegame or the EP. I would like to see the turn on’s and turn off in the video, and I’d like to see a bit of the world and a world map. My daughter and I have both wanted a Romance pack for a long time. But, I’m not sure my daughter will get it if she can’t turn off the heartbreak death.

Haha, I've always loved this video... such wonderful chaos. If only the game had actually been like that. Imagine if they released a video like that these days? The uproar for false advertising :D

Just thought I would drop this link in here for anyone who hasn't seen it: https://simscommunity.info/2024/06/19/sims-4-lovestruck-gameplay/

Edit: I have to say that I do NOT like the sound of the level 10 'art of romance' perk - giving your sim an aura of flirtiness which makes sims around them flirty? If this works how it sounds, that is going to interfere with gameplay drastically - other sims getting to a level 10, you could have a game filled with sims flirting all over the place! It's already bad with unwanted flirting ruining relationships as it is.

I was thinking the exact same thing about the level 10 flirt aura when I first heard about it. It could potentially be a huge nuisance.

But I think they may be just taking the Vampire power of seduction and giving it to regular Sims. And while I do love it for Vampires, I use that power sparingly as it is and don't love the idea of my normal Sims having access to it or the fact that they took something from that pack to recycle. But if it is indeed the same power, then it's not something that's always on, you select to actively use it from the Sim's self menu.

So hopefully that's how it's been implemented and players can just choose to use it or not. Otherwise it would be the utter ruin of all relationships.

I've wanted a Regency pack since the days of Sims 2. At one point I actually had themed cc so I could attempt to play Regency characters in Sims 2.

Better yet, I'd probably buy a Regency-themed side game as a preorder, though I'd want it to be more sandbox than Sims Medieval or Castaway Stories. Given the population of Bridgerton, maybe the time is now right.
