Weekly rewards don't transfer?

I assumed that the weekly rewards were linked to my ea account. I did all three logins for this week, but today I just set up my new computer and installed the sims. After starting the game up, none of the rewards are claimed. This is incredibly annoying because it's not like I can go through and reclaim them or even have an attempt to re-do it as the new week starts in 18 hours.

Could this just be a glitch or are they really just tied to my old computer and that's it?

    I reported this earlier and I don't appreciate having to back up any file in order to get them. They should be available immediately. I don't back up any files, except Save as in game as I don't use CC or mods.

    Mods. Don not tell me to go to Answers. This is a mistake on EA's part and they should deal with it pronto. I'm too old to keep trying to get answers only EA experts can deal with. Thank you very much.
    I'm done with this game.

    Wait this is kind of ridiculous. How are they going to do these limited timed events but the unlocks aren't even tied to your account but rather some obligatory file that I must back up in order to preserve my unlocks? This is definitely a huge oversight considering the nature of such an event. MESS!

    I agree. I'm thankful I didn't go through a delete my files before completely abandoning my computer as this does seem like a huge oversight. The event, from what I've been reading/seeing, is making people upset so the least you can do is streamline the "rewards". If I already have to log in with EA to even play the game, seems silly to have to do anything else within the game files and should be loaded into the app somehow.

    I unlocked the items for two game folders and I still had to unlock today's item twice after today's patch, once for each game folder.

    You're right. Looking at the patch notes, it looks like they only fixed the exploits that allow Simmers to get the items without doing the event.

    So Simmers who do the event will not necessarily be able to keep the items if they change their computers. Unless, they know exactly which files to copy, and even then, I'm unsure if the items will remain in build and buy. I hope EA will clarify this.

    Anyone still unable to access the rewards? I'm in the US and have tried everything... No Freezer Bunny tile; no pop-up. Its extremely irritating.

    @BusinessOfThree I don't get a pop up either to claim log in rewards but on my home page after log in I have a square top left under "My Home" that reads the following: "Happy at Home Login Event" with freezer bunny image and a countdown I just click on it and able to claim the week's log in object

    I don't even have the event yet and I already was never happy with these time-limited events in general and the companies don't really make it easy to me to like it. I don't understand why they still doing such things, playing with the FOMO-effect on purpose?

    I guess I'm just so done with all these manipulations in the internet and real world in general. I would like to watch a cute puppy picture, but even there you get nasty comments from "concerned" viewers.

    It would have been nice if they had fixed this part as well. Simmers who frequent the forums or other sims communities will know what to back up. But casual players who don't follow the sims online but happen to be around to unlock them are bound to loose these items at a reinstall.

    There was a largish update today 7th June and I found that all items claimable were in my game.
    Everyone apparently has to update their game before 10th June so it would be wise to go to the game hub instead of straight into the game as that's where I saw 'update needed' Not sure what will happen after the tenth.
    Came back to complain, now off again. Loved the two new packs and got building again.

    I still don't have that, either. I'm so confused, and frankly pretty irritated at this point. @EA_Cade said in another post that some of us wouldn't have access until the 13th, but that we would still have weeks to claim to everything. But from what some of you are saying now, it sounds like the first week of rewards has already expired/is about to expire today?

    I can't say this is making me feel like playing more often. It's pretty much the opposite. I've played games with login rewards before, and I usually don't mind them, but this has to be the most poorly designed and implemented reward system I've ever seen.

    I dont see anything about the login event? Also not on the new page before loading? Do you have to claim it manually somewhere or is the game downloading it by itself if you log in? If not, I miss all the stuff because I don't know where I have to be or where I have to click on.

    @flauschtrud yes, I checked again to see if I had overlooked something, but I indeed don't see an event tile. I am playing on a Mac, and you? Could that be the reason maybe? Because I now read on the news and updates pages that it is available for the EA app for Windows and Mac via Origin. However, a few weeks ago, I received a notification from Origin that the EA app for Mac was available and needed to be installed. But it seems to me that there shouldn't be any difference in the start page after launching the game..

    I am from the Netherlands and it seems that we (the Netherlands, Germany, etc.) are therefore excluded from the event. I just don't quite understand why.

    That's not right, just because simmers are from Europe, they shouldn't be excluded. That's just discrimination & prejudice. Shame on anyone that allowed this.

    I don't have access either and I log into my game everyday and nothing happens.
