So sad to read that this forum will close. I was expecting it though when the forum stopped showing up in searches.

I know I haven't been present here in some time, but I have recently wanted to start playing again. And this is the first place I come to learn about what is new.

I'm sorry, I tried browsing through this to find clarification, but it's 36 pages so...

I am a little confused. I see a lot of "new EA forums" and "AHQ" being tossed around. Can someone clarify please, will there be a new EA forum, or is "the new" EA forum actually AHQ?

There will be a new EA forum @Chaotic_Moira . AHQ is separate. The new forum is to be launched in July.

Thank you so much. That is good. I absolutely hate the forum design at AHQ. Now I have to find all the threads on here that I have saved for their useful info and find out the best way to save them.

It seems like so long since this big change was announced! In a month or so these forums will go down - do we have anything more than “July 2024” as a time/date for the new forums launching and these ones ending?

It would be quite cool to have some kind of send off for all of the years of community we’ve had here 🩷

It sounds like no one particularly like AHQ forum layout/design. Maybe if we used it all the time, we'd get used to it. But I'm not a fan of it at all.

It'll be your EA ID which is also your gallery name and you can change it although forum nicks might be taken already as EA ID

I think my game is updated the one that needs to be done by June 10, but I'm not sure what the game version number is. How do I do it? It says I didn't yet. Thanks!

Thanks so much @rosemow --- a mantenence Sim still pops up when I start my game (guy on a red background) and says I have to update my game
I have 1.107.112.1030 (and then it says Dx9)

I'm not sure how to fix it

I will try again tomorrow after I check back on this thread.

@LeucosiaX not sure about points and profile posts but this is what EA_Cade said about post counts.

You won't be starting from scratch necessarily. We will move content over so you'll start off with the stats that content gave you.
IE: We move 400 posts of yours from here to the other forum that you've never used, you start with 400 posts attached to your name.

ETA: None of the posts made after March 12 will count. As they will not be moved to the new forum.
