Maybe its scheduled to appear later
Kits are scheduled to appear in like 12 hours or so I think
at least if going by the usual timing maybe its same for the events

I wonder if this battle pass model means that SDX drops are a thing of the past. (Aside from the new hair they've already promised to give us in July.)

Who knew when we initially invested in this single-player standalone game all those years ago, that we would eventually end up with a wannabe free-to-play mobile style model full of predatory maneuvers like: an endless stream of ads and popups, persistent online connectivity, and timed FOMO events (including early-bird promo DLC items). Now all we’re missing is the micro-transactions (kits being the 'introductory gateway' to that final step).....
FOMO:
- Triggers addictive behaviours
- Triggers those prone to anxiety
- Triggers and targets the vulnerable and naive (kids, young adults)
Tsk tsk. For shame.
Be better, EA.

I like the idea, it could be something in the next EP, I mean same system but applied to the relantionship.
The more the sims do flirty interactions, the more they will succeed by practicing often.
Something Fun : ??? Something Awesome : ??? Something New : Maybe the Daily Challenges Something the team (including Matthew J. Fahey) has been working on! : DirectX 11 optimization
DirectX 11 instead of 12, maybe because 11 is compatible with Xbox One.
I don't think that players still use Windows 7 today.
"Oh, you don't own the new limited free stuff? So you're not playing The Sims that often, do you? Guess you're not a real fan then."
No, just no. I definitely don't like these thoughts in my head. Like others already mentioned, it triggers anxieties and addictive behavior. The latter not for me as I refuse this kind of pressure anyways, but yep, it does give me a bad feeling that someone who ever does not accept me being a fan of this game anymore because I will not own all the "free" stuff.
Disappointed.
I wish the Events functioned at the level of the game files instead of the user files. I rotate through 6 separate instances of the game so I have to launch each one to get the free reward in all of them.... Free, it turns out, is a lot of work
I don’t know what to think. The event is definitely giving Sims Mobile and Freeplay vibes. I wasn’t expecting a timed event or to have to log in frequently. 😮
I’m very good at ignoring advertisements (+ pulsating shopping carts!) but I can see how some might struggle. I just try to remember I don’t have to do it, it’s okay to miss something. Life happens. 😊
I did get the dartboard today. Hopefully I can get online for the necklace. But I’m not worried as half the time it’s the app that plays up anyway.
The box is finally there and I was able to properly claim the dartboard that I had already used in my game yesterday. lol. I don't mind this promotion because I play almost every evening anyway. I understand why it might bother others though, especially if they don't find time to log in.
There are events I missed in the past simply because I didn't play Sims 4 until 2019 and it regularly annoys me that I don't have access to those things. And then there's things like Sims Sessions. My Sim went to a concert every night, but because I started a new save sometime after that, the shirts are no longer unlocked.
@EA_Cade Could you please help me out with this question?
I was wondering, if someone for whatever reason does not log in for months and completely misses one event, are the items gone for good, like forever missing in game like that Family portrait thingy?
Or are they still in my game (despite the event being over) but are just locked, and I could unlock them at any time by downloading a room with the event stuff from the gallery or a Sim who is wearing the hairs and clothes?
These timed events are causing anxiety for me. From time to time I need to step away from the game for a while and spend time in nature or with real people and family, get some exercise and just get the game completely off my mind. After a few months I always come back. But these timed events are very triggering and not very helpful in handling my special interest addiction in a healthy way.

What do you mean with 6 separate instances? Aren't these rewards tied to our EA account?
@Caerfinon Hehe, great comic, and so true!! I wish that I could free myself from these FOMO thoughts. I already avoid online games for a reason, and I don't engage in the big social media platforms, because I know it would not be healthy for me. I'm like a cave person with a modern times computer.
I never thought I would face this form of pressure and anxiety in Sims 4. *sigh* Somehow I have to overcome the strong need to have everything related to my special interest - I just have to if the Sims is continuing in this direction.

In my \Documents\Electronic Arts folder I have six folders of the The Sims 4 like so...
When I want to play an instance I rename it to just The Sims 4 and start the game. Each time I start the game I am presented with the Events reward pop up. If I claim the rewards for one folder that does not translate to the remaining folders until I use them in game play. SDX works in a similar way.
The information about the fact that your account has claimed the reward seems to be tied to the user data folders in some way. I have no knowledge of how persistence of the claims is managed but I would imagine it's similar to the SDX downloads.
@Caerfinon , you have all different mods setup in them too? As other way I see no point simply not to have 6 different saves under 1 folder
edit: Or simply to keep all organized by folders rather than saves ?
I have similar setup in sims2, but thats indeed because different mods and default replacements .. one is medieval, one apocalypse, one modern one space and one castaway themed.
Sorry, just curious

@Ellupelluellu The folders have different mod load outs for various functions needed for the story telling. The comic related folders have multiple saves for different characters. The Dev folders typically have only one save and are used for testing world building and CC creation.
Cool setup If not counted having to load all for freebies

Also they didn't announced the events yet.
Probably they might have some updates

I mean a mobile would have the sims use real-time
A system to buy simoleons and point system to get father in the game and reduced the time.
We're not evan close to that.
We don't have ads besides ads for other packs.
Yes,it's different were getting battle pass.It is it so bad were getting free stuff? That's going to give us a window of 52 days to claim
?

The dartboard and the necklace are okay, but I doubt I will use those much. Those are the two items I have gotten.
