So here is me trying to be positive, what could an entire EP for romance mean when we already got the MWS-GP? That would actually be good? Ok so here goes a wishlist:
    • Mulitpurpose lots in the base game update (to prepare for the EP)
    • Hotels of various kinds with us as the designers (B&B, Motels, Luxury resorts...) that work perfectly with the multipurpose lots so they can include restaurants, spas, gyms, shops, cafés, vendors, bars...
    • Front desks that can also work as ticket booths for any communal lot.
    • Hotels can be NPC run or owned or worked in (active careers)
    • Hotels can be built on any type of lot, including penthouses and beach lots that extend into water.
    • Pool updates with slides, trampolines, and woohoo animation. Pool bars, pool hot tubs, the use of platforms and stairs in pools, toys for the pool...
    • The heart shaped bed, heart shaped tub and bear rug making a return
    • A Windenburg-sized town, with a downtown city (with that woohoo fountain) and a beach side resort area (and possibly a few more areas). No rabbit holes, no empty space, just lots of places to build on.
    • More romance aspirations, as well as vacation aspirations and hotel ownership aspirations.
    • Dating app
    • A return of the good old fashioned news paper, subscribe only, with the possibility to read dating adds.
    • A return of fairies, fairies that boost romance and can work as match makers, and more harmful fairies that can cause trouble in relationships. Fairies have magical properties and are of different kids. You can play a fairy as well as them being NPC creatures. A magical forest in the world is the natural home of fairies.
    • Obviously all interactions mentioned here already.
    • Attraction system

I don't love the idea of fairies being added to an EP instead of getting their own GP, but otherwise, yes!!

I so 100% agree with you @Amapola76. I too don't want the Fairies in an Expansion Pack. Fairies would work better in it's own Gameplay Pack with their own World. ;)

I wouldn't mind Fairies being part of a Mythology EP all to themselves. Then it could be all about Fairies and Dragons and perhaps Elves, Goblins, Unicorns and other mythical creatures. (Would love some from other cultures!) Then we could actually have a large fantasy world instead of these tiny little five-lot neighborhoods. The Occults deserve a whole world to themselves with maybe a forest with tree huts, playable caves, mountain tops, and a misty, creepy bog marsh with dark, droopy trees.

That sounds really nice. I've been disappointed since ROM came out that we can't live in the magical realm.

Same! And while I love Forgotten Hollow and Moonwood, I just really want a world where my monsters can reside in an actual population. I play a lot of households and my Occults are scattered all over the place because there's no room in the small, creepy worlds.

Really wish they'd offer some world kits to buy. I know they'd be more than five dollars, but to have some niche options and interesting places available would go a long way to resolving the issue if they're just going to give us tidbits every couple of years.

I would love to see world packs available myself….I’d love to see something like Jungls adventure my sims can live in, and a forest world, with no sign of civilization for sims to live in…..

    Online dating
    complicated attraction system
    new animations
    new interactions
two person activities like boat rides
    anniversaries applied to calendar automatically
    honeymoons
    Hotel venues
    Birds as pets 🤞🏼
European style city with some new apartments
New sites and activities that are not rabbitholes.
More in depth development for game play like older EP packs

Also sims 1 had unrequited love. I would like to see that again. That you don't know what the other is thinking and it doesn't necessarily match 100%- making the game a little harder.

I like to see teens not being able to date freely like parents not always ok with it.

Fighting with family and others about matches and triangles is realistic and would be interesting to make the social aspect of dating reflected in the game as well.

I like the some of the scenarios with romance and that seems like a heated game play moment in the regular game and this expansion pack, as well.

    love at first sight.

Different types of love, as in this is just a fling, and this one I want to spend the rest of my life with.

The only thing I want is to have the sims make out like they are going to woohoo after. Not this watered down stuff that looks ridiculous, polite kissing...just no.

So, I think what I'd like to see in this pack, things that would make me really want to buy it (providing it works well with very few bugs and isn't filled with rabbit holes) are a mix of things we've had in previous games, with maybe a few new ideas.

~ Matchmaking. I'd like ways to match Sims both online and off. Dating apps, catfishing, and speed dating would be lovely. I'd love an update to the Romance Guru in City Living to actually be a matchmaker. Like, match two Sims at the festival or magically drop a Sim from any world out of the sky like in Sims 2, which started a date immediately. The existing romance festival is a little lame, so this would make it more fun. Of course, the matchmaking would have to consider compatibility and chemistry, likes and dislikes. But in Sims 2, your "perfect" match depended on how much you paid the matchmaker, lol. So you could be cheap and end up with a horrible date. I want this.

~ The return of avenging a bad date. In Sims 2, if your date went poorly, or you had a very bad relationship rating, you could end up with a bag of flaming poo on your porch, your trash kicked over, or your newspaper stolen. (Man, I wish we could have newspapers back to replace some of the phone interactions!) These antics were hilarious. They wouldn't have to be exactly the same, but maybe the scorned could steal your bicycle, stomp on your flowers, knock and run, dump your trash, graffiti your fence, toilet paper your house, leave a scathing note in your mailbox with a dead flower, send the reaper to your home...I don't know. Something mischievous.

~ The return of the "scan room" self interaction. I used this so, so much because it allowed my Sims to tell me who they were interested in, without me having to make all the choices for them. I want my Sims to behave as independent people, not like barbie dolls, that's why I give them traits. So I'd like this option for them to pick out potential partners for themselves. Even if those people are married or in existing relationships. The player could choose to pursue it or not, of course, but to have the Sims rolling whims to hook up with Sims they are attracted to could lead to some interesting directions - or drama - that the game really needs.

~ Negative and new Traits. We need more interesting traits that actually do things, with animations and social consequences. Highly anxious, hyperactive, inattentive, clingy (although the current jealous trait kind of covers this. Maybe change it to clingy and give us actual jealousy, like Sims confronting friends of their significant other, thinking they're cheating, or acting more possessive), gossip (your romantic business spreads to everyone, lol), technophobe, charming, creepy, pansexual (happy/confident/inspired buff for woohooing Occults? Also don't lose relationship points for Vampire's Excessive Hissing or Werewolf Fury)... just spitballing here, but could be a huge opportunity for some really fun personalities.

~ New options for relationships in CAS. Can we please set more household relationships? Seems like this should be a thing we should be able to do by now. Dating, friction, engaged, love triangles, single-sided crush, etc. We could also use more family settings as well, like aunts, uncles, stepfamily, in-laws.

~ Steamier romantic interactions. Sims 4 Sims just lack passion, for the most part. Some of the interactions are cute and fun, but there's no real good "make out" interactions on couches and beds like in past games. Sims 2 Sims could sit on the lap of another Sim and cuddle. They could spoon in bed while sleeping and shun each other as well. They could slow dance very closely and "lower hands" (and reject it), they could goose, kiss up the arm, and wolf whistle. I know some of these behaviors seem "inappropriate" to some people (when did we go back to puritanical thinking?) but to have them as optional interactions for those who want to use them would be great. No more prudes, please. (Except Mrs. Crumplebottom. Let's give her a reason to be offended, shall we? Oh, and give us a Prude trait so we can have more Crumplebottom Sims! :D )

~ Ghosts being updated to reproduce with Sims. Gotta have some stuff for the Occultists. Sims 3 had this and I want it. Ghost babies!

~ Tuning for Sims to pay attention to each other when on a date. Dates really need improvements, I've been trying to play with them and it's fine, but my Sim constantly has to chase the other Sim around. And there should be consequences if my Sims flirts with another person while on a date. The date should tank and set in motion a bad relationship, which in turn starts the "revenge", like leaving hate notes and sabotaging the cheating Sim's property. But please...do this well. Sims shouldn't be autonomously randomly flirting with everyone in the room (like sometimes happens now in my game) and setting off bad dates all the time. That should only be directed by the player unless a Sim has the right trait or aspiration.

~ Return the option for a simple wedding. Yes, I ended up getting My Wedding Disaster for everything except the weddings, when it was on sale. I don't tend to have many weddings in my game, but I have a mod on standby in case I want to use the original game feature. I know I've seen other Simmers want access to both, so would be nice to have it back.

~ Honeymoons and romantic/steamy "getaways". Really, how are honeymoons so overlooked? Isn't that the most important part of the marriage? :p It's all about the romantic trip to a desirable destination. We can arrange this ourselves, sure, but there's no actual gameplay for it. And what if a honeymoon goes terribly, terribly wrong? There should be a variety of moodlets for how it goes and should effect the Sims' relationship, even if temporarily. And any Sims with a romance bar should be able to have a "destination getaway".

I could think of more things, like a new attraction system, but we've got compatibility, so maybe make it deeper. Anyway, I'll leave it at that. Looking forward to the first trailer to see what they've done. I know what I don't want is a romance system that depends entirely on phones and technology. My Sims are already way too obsessed and I like playing off-the-grid lots and retro households.

I'm a very "Romance is B-plot/C-plot" sort of gal (I like it, I just like it to be secondary or tertiary to the main plot) So this pack is going to need something else to catch my attention to get me on the hype train.

In the trailer, I'd want to see...

couples of all types depicted, "storyline" focuses on a M/M pairing (because we don't have enough of those)
Something that makes the world interesting *in addition to* whatever romance stuff is going on. Cool places to explore that have collectables in addition to lore and beautiful vistas.
A preview of some alternate dating setups that aren't ... well, that aren't all the same. Preferably using Traits and Interests to enhance the date (or make it worse, because that's funny)
Some sort of clothing and/or architecture style that appeals to my Art Deco or Art Nouveau aesthetic. (Don't at me about other packs, if people can want more cosy cottage or industrial or Roccocco, I can want more Art Nouvaeu and Art Deco)

And I'll be directly honest, if Fairies as an Occult type are featured in this pack, I'm going to be ready to flip a table. I will be beyond disappointed if they do my Fae folk dirty like that. (Bad enough I'm likely to be limited to Tinkerbelle style pixies.)

Why do we not have one?! Sometimes when I really need an in ground tub, I just make a square pool with a steam vent in the center.

    Heartshape Bed and bathtub/hottub
    Kissing Booth
    Hotel Venue
    dating app
    Attraction system
    New world
New woohoo places broke car? ect.
    skin rug woohoo
    hammock woohoo
    Large blanket woohoo

What I'd really like is the Dating game show. Contestants are by the players sexual orientation. Your sim can be the player or can be one of the three sims to choose from.

We need loads more lingerie; we hardly have any choices.

Something that would say it is worth getting. The sims are quite amorous already, no new pack needed. As it is, the whole idea leaves me cold. Especially when there is so much current brokenness that needs fixing.

I really hope we get the classic vibrating heart bed! Other than that, I'd be happy with anything! But, if they can give a lot of 'Sims 1: Hot Date' vibes, I'd be really happy!

I don’t play romantic stories in my game, so I have a hard time seeing what could be added in a full EP. Romance seems pretty functional , as it is, to me. Unless there’s a non romantic reason to get it on sale (like a great world or BB/ CAS assets) I’ll be passing on this one. The kits, on the other hand, look pretty good.

I want to see actual game changing systems that impact how characters behave show me a new romance system attraction system. I want to see new romance animations and new dating game play that also works with old packs like Dine Out need cross pack compatibility.

What I don't care to see in a romance trailer to much attention on clothes or the tiny world
Sims 4 went from "You Rule" to "One of the stories we want you to tell"

I just feel our expectations on what makes an EP has gotten really low.

(I do want all of those things though, I'm just not paying that much for only that).

Yeah i completely agree all of those things are really good ideas but i feel like that should be more side content what i want is improvements to the romance system as it is i want something that changes the core gameplay no matter how i ay or what mind of family i have i would love one sided relationships to be added to add more drama to relationships i also would love a chemistry system so your sim isn’t attracted to every sim and dating actually becomes somewhat of a challenge to find the right person those two things would change the core gameplay and that is wat i expect/want from an expansion pack in want to feel like i can’t play without it hahaha also yes to more romantic interactions and animations pls and lastly pls add more drama i want my sims to be furious when they find out they have been cheated on for example i want a sim that isn’t truly in love to run away from the altar at the wedding basically i just want more unorchestrated chaos pls
