Wow, a new team for patches. And the laundry list has a lot this time...

I'd go about the fear of death for elders, but I really think I should take time to check it out if it's still an issue. For now, I'll bring up this, this and this.

Still no top notch toddler fix. I don't like cheating these things in. So many of my child sims have missed out on this reward.

Awesome news! It's wonderful to see so many bug fixes. Even better is having a team looking into the unresolved ones.

Just need to combine excitement with patience.🙂

    Sul Sul Simmers!

Welcome to this month’s Laundry List, where we share the top community concerns we’re currently investigating and aim to resolve in an upcoming patch.

You may notice we’re investigating more issues than previous months; this is because we’ve assembled a team to invest in the core game experience, including tackling technical issues within The Sims 4. We have continued to review reported concerns that have interrupted your The Sims 4 gameplay over time, and we recognize that this has caused much frustration. It’s why we have set out to form this focused team, which will be able to increase both the number of fixes we can address and how often we ship these batched updates. Our goal is to fix more reported concerns, both big and small, over the next six months and beyond to check off more boxes on our Laundry List. This is our first release, with others following roughly every two months. Keep an eye out for future Laundry List announcements for the latest run down of fixes.

We genuinely value your input so please continue to report any issues you experience via Answers HQ. This remains our primary source for information on player experiences. Any and all details are helpful, especially those surrounding where the issue was encountered so we can reproduce it as a part of our investigation. As is the case with any patch, please remember to remove any external game mods and custom content as they may conflict with the updates.

For our next patch, read below for the list of the community concerns we’re investigating and aiming to resolve.
Note, this is only a list of topics from AnswersHQ and community-sourced feedback with upcoming fixes; there are more improvements to the game and topics reported by players that are not listed here but still being worked on.
Additionally, we hope you can understand that some topics can be tricky and may require an extended investigation on our end, so even though we are actively reviewing, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate total fix in the upcoming patch.
Thank you for all your patience and valuable help in reporting!

We’ll continue to check in, and together we can make this game the best it can be.
    Happy Simming!

Happy to see the alien-face glitch on age up is being looked into.

Im hoping theyll eventually fix the issue with For Rent and the game's memory system or w/e was causing For Rent to corrupt game saves.

They’re still not making it possible for expelled teens to reenroll in school 😭

Please just give us the option.

Really happy to see them assemble a team to improve the game and the core experience and helping with bugs. It is very appreciated.

This is really great news! I know it's going to be frustrating for us mod users, but having a dedicated fix team is long, long overdue and I really had lost hope of EA ever caring about the game enough to do right by its players. This new direction is a positive move forward and makes me feel a little more optimistic about The Sims 4's future. I'll still have some skepticism, because we've seen promises and new directions get abandoned before, but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. :)

And yay for fixing the Alien aging issue that's been going on for years! I finally have an Alien infant and look forward to her growing up properly.

Right now I still like Maxis and I'm not worried about the future.

Well, a lot of studios tell us a lot of things. I just look at the actions carried out.
Nowadays, words no longer have any meaning.

1000% agree. I've been so discouraged by the state of the game deteriorating sharply over the last few years. I just could not understand how they thought it was tenable to keep adding more and more content (culminating in the For Rent disaster) without addressing the underlying spaghetti code problem. THANK THE GODS they are finally seeing the light!

There's even a gallery fix on the list; that's great, and I hope they add more fixes soon. (Bring back the newsfeed!!) I miss the old gallery so much. It's basically been a year now since the migration that broke it.

This is very positive. I’m glad they’re putting together a dedicated team to work on these bug fixes — that can only be good news for us players. I’ll be glad to see some of the fixes in this list. And the optimization changes sound interesting too.

I wish they'd finally fix the Finchwick Fair issue where contest submissions (especially cows, chickens) aren't being returned to our inventories... every time I submit an entry, and the fair ends, I NEVER get my animals back! They're not in the personal OR household inventories... even with debug or hidden objects cheats turned on!

The fairs are supposed to be a main part of Cottage Living, but can't be properly used... and while it's not entirely game breaking, it's still extremely frustrating!

This sounds good, but I won't get my hopes up just yet. I wanna see if this will stick around for the long term and have a visible effect on the gameplay.

You are supposed to take your animals back before the fair ends. After you find out your prize, you take your animal back, don't wait for the fair to end.

All I can say is that I'll be perfectly happy for this team to take its time and thoroughly test the patches before release. Better a good patch then a quick one. :)

Good because I don't want Sims 4 being neglected for other projects. Please continue to invest in and fix what we have here, so we can enjoy it. Not only do we need bug fixes but we need pack refreshes and I'm not talking CC in particular but for example Toddler stuff isn't compatible with Growing Togethers Recreation Centers and feels disjointed. I tried to have toddlers gather at a rec center and only parks or their home show up in the location category. So, I'm hoping future refreshes can address some of these oversights to make old packs compatible with new ones. I also use a mod to have all world toddlers show up in the list and this should just be a thing in the game because it's too tedious to have your sims go meet first and then throw the playdate. I also feel the toddler jungle gym need an interaction on it to make the toddlers use it at the same time. I invited my toddlers over to my apartment complex and everybody was going to the house. I couldn't redirect them to the playground.

I'll second this, last thing we need is patches that break more things and cause more bugs than they fix.

I really appreciate the lists they give us, but whoever wrote this needs to stick with either listing the solutions OR the problems. When I read "Skills Won't Stay in Alphabetical Order" I was saying "WHAT? Why? They need to be in alphabetical order. It's cleaner and easier to read that way." Then I realized it must be the issue that is stated. That wasn't the only one that made me have to pause to think.
