@simgirl1010 Congratulations. She looks like a very nice Sim. Have fun with the Friend of the World aspiration. I use that one in my Ancestral save. My sixth great grandfather (nine generations before e) was said to have quite 'the air of suavity' about his person. Essentially, he was a charmer and was beloved by many. This aspiration seemed to fit him. It can be fun, yet a tad tedious.
Will you be writing up about Emily? (Love that name, by the way). If so, I do look forward to your coming updates.
Wow, so many are changing their current stories, or starting fresh, makes me wonder if I should do something similar. Well, I almost am. Once I figure out what to do with Erik, I will start focusing on Travis and Harmony. Both of these men have some big decisions ahead of them. So things will be a bit 'new' in that sense.
@Fairy_Happy I did the same. At the time I sent Erik, his siblings and Kayleigh to Uni, we didn't yet have NS, but I currently have that turned off, too. Lost too many Sims to it in a previous iteration of Erik. I also was less interested in college life and the social life thereof and had all five of my Sims living in the same Dorm so I could make certain they got the most out of their education. They took four classes, each, and graduated with Honors, most of them at the end of the third term. In my head canon, Erik was only seventeen when he entered Uni, making him twenty upon graduation. It also helped keep their parents from dying off while they were at Britechester-U.
I haven’t had a chance to play much lately or get the new kits. I fell a couple of weeks ago, and bruised some ribs. So, after doing whatever I need to do for the day, the most I want in the evening is my heating pad and some pain meds.
I’m wondering, has anyone gotten the party pack and used the fog elements to create fog effects in the worlds, and how is that working?
Right now I have no plans to play her. Got so much going on in my main save.

I am curious though to see what type of sim would be generated by answering the questions differently.
I used it once when we first got it. It wasn’t for me. When I create a sim I usually have a story in mind already. It might be a fun way to create background sims though. 🙂

Yeah turn off aging at uni was a great idea. I'm having so much more fun with this pack now. Alexis is currently attending studying culinary. She's doing well. She even joined the soccer team and even gained the active trait. I had her live in the dorms for the first term and I didn't really like it. There was no place to cook or for her to eat. I had to keep going to the commons to eat. Wasn't a fan of that. So for her second term, I moved her to university housing. They have a kitchen but no stove. Luckily the roommates are somehow able to make family sized roast chicken and stuff so Alexis doesn't have to just eat quick or microwaved meals all the time.
I did try this university housing when I first got this pack, but Vlad showed up and ruined it. But this time around (now that I know that Vlad can't turn my Sims into a vampire against my will) I'm actually enjoying this university experience this time around. And I love how I don't have to feel rushed through it since aging is no longer an issue.
@Fairy_Happy That's good news. Enjoy. I got frustrated once, too. I put my Sim, Sandy Beeches, in the Culinary tract, but even in the student housing no stove allowed. There is a barbeque grill in Britechester-U down near the canal.
The waitress on the restaurant floor seems to have a problem getting to the chef station. If she takes your order she will take it and present it to the chef. When attempting to go back in to the kitchen, she will wave her arm and our order gets cancelled and we have to order again:
As far as i can see, there are no routing issues so why are the waitresses/waiters on the floor not doing their jobs?

My Sims went out after the Awards Show and a Server took their order and then a very short time later came out with an order, seemingly placed it, yet there was nothing on their table whatsoever. A time later and finally their order arrived like normal. Have they done a Refresh on this pack, yet?

Do a shift-click on the Server when your Sims first get to the eatery of choice.
@Brd709 She has to be able to take the completed orders from the tray on the right of the chef station. Move your chef station so the right side isn't so close to the wall and it should work
The other chef station, with the pre-built window, is more designed for the kind of setup you have there-- IIRC the wait staff can just take the plates through the window from that chef station, whether or not the window is lined up in the wall.
Well, it's finally happened to me. I've read others complaints about a saved to Library build didn't get saved. Up until two days ago, I had never experienced this. I've built a lounge that I called The Grotto. When I had it all finished, I saved it to My Library, with the intention of placing it in my current game save. Went to do that and lo, and behold it just wasn't there. Apparently, it went nowhere. I spent some time on that build, too, like the others had. Even to the point I made the final touches the next day. So, rather than get all angry I quickly rebuilt it. However, in my haste I made the changes up front, which really destroyed a very nice, unexpected asset to the build.
Now, I have to wonder if going in and fixing it would be the better thing to do, since the inside is decorated, or if I should start from scratch? What I did initially, is to link the walls, over making them slightly recessed. I didn't much care for the look and went back and added the inner wall (one tile toward the interior) and then one plank at a time removed the old one. This left (by accident) a small 'shelf' if you will. I made use of said shelf and really liked the exterior decoration of it in the long run. I'd show pictures, but I don't have any.
Okay, I took pictures this time around. Got my new Lounge completed, although when I tested it out, the singer didn't bother using the steps up to the stage. No, he just more or less walked through the edge and reappeared on the stage itself. Clipping much.

Up until we had that worker's strike, as it were, I've never had any problems with this restaurant. I'm very happy to say. Somebody once, quite some time ago, suggested it was best to shift-click a Server and debug them, first thing. I have kept up this practice.
