The thing I liked about the color wheel was the ability to age furniture or change the materials or texture of something, and I usually used the preset patterns to do that. I didn’t use it that much for color changing. I’m fine with swatches for that. But, yeah. It could definitely be tricky to use, and giving us more swatch options would be great.

I loved the color wheel and the thing is you can repeat the color by adding it to the little squares underneath the color wheel. Now if they had an additional Favorites list of blocked colors that you could reuse in a lot of builds that would not go unnoticed. But they aren't going to add the color wheel in this game so the point is completely moot. Maybe Sims 5

You could get the exact colour twice if you typed in the hex code instead of just trying to match the colour on the colour selector wheel. I wouldn't mind a colour wheel if it were an external program, like Bodyshop was for TS2, and allowed you to customise the in game objects and than import them back into the game. For ingame customization, I personally prefer the swatches. They are easy and fast to use and also allow for additional and different details to be painted on the textures. I would love to be able to select textile separately from the wood texture in a couch or bed, like we had in TS2, for example, and while I don't care so much for the wood texture to have different colours and a limited number of swatches would be fine, I would love to have a much larger selection of fabric patterns to choose from but also keep the different drawn on details like blankets, torn fabric, stains, or new, unstained texture and such. So I don't care so much to change colours so everything matches, I would much prefer to be able to change patterns and textures.
