When I first got "Island Living" Sulani was the first world where humans got evicted and every residence had only mermaids living there
But personally I love them all equally
I have only one save file that I have no occults I created and everytime I see a Maxis occult creation depending who they are they get humanized or deleted forget which challenge this one is but rules are no occults are allowed once finished it to generation 10 just started gen 3 when quit playing it all occults will be allowed haven't played it since October
I love occults! Vampires used to be my favourite, but I prefer spellcasters now. I suppose I just like the idea of them the most as I still think vampires and werewolves have more depth and better gameplay. I also really like mermaids and wish they had more to do. My main sim is currently human, but I plan to make him an occult eventually. He will probably become a spellcaster, but he may be a mermaid or a werewolf for a while first. I am also hoping for fairies. If they are done as well as werewolves or hopefully even better, they will definitely become my new favourite.
I chose other because I enjoy all of the characters. I get bored easily and having different types of characters to play, with different gameplay strengths and weaknesses, I just switch to a different character or storyline/game to keep my interest alive. I do the same with Skyrim and other games as I enjoy trying different types of characters/gameplay. For me, the more choices the better! I have a supernatural save and use all of the occults and humans in my game. Family style gameplay works well with all of them! I too would love to have fairies and any other occults they give us and would love to see updates for ghosts, plantsims, aliens and mermaids!
I have an alien in my game, Spock of Vulcan, but he isn't an alien made to look human. That didn't work out in CAS, LOL. He's also married to one of my Sims, so my active lot sees him upon occasion. Mostly I play with my human cast of characters. I know, boring. But not really. I have a cast of nuts, primarily. Watching them trying to sort out the art of living is pretty entertaining, at least to me.
@GalacticGal If you ever want to make your Spock an alien that doesn’t look like the game aliens, it’s possible with MCCC using the Copy/Paste appearance function. My 10/14 Doctor looks exactly the same in his human and alien forms, so he can have the alien abilities without the game alien appearance. You can make the alien form and human disguise look exactly alike.

I don’t know why they don’t make it possible for both forms to be the same in vanilla games. That would be a game update I would like……I eoulc play aliens more that way.

I think the bold part perfectly describes how I feel about spellcasters. I prefer spellcasters but have to admit werewolves and vampires have more balanced and challenging gameplay. For some reason the idea of magic and the general vibe of realm of magic is more important than gameplay.

I agree. We also shouldn’t be limited to BEM aliens or stereotypical grays. Aliens that appear human all the time should be possible, and aliens that always look like aliens should also be possible. Aliens with cute antennae should be possible. More variety should be possible. It takes a little work with MCCC to get the forms to match, but at least it can be done. I also got a mod to eliminate the metallic alien voice, so The Doctor is truly the Doctor… an alien Time Lord who looks human but has aliens skills.

Thanks. The only alien quality I would need is the mind-reading thing.
Aliens in Sims 4 to me are total waste of time ,
Vampires have now been ruined by not being able to do the vampiric run outside
Werewolves , I have the pack but never played one
Mermaids i enjoy playing although i wish we could go underwater like we did in sims 3
Spellcasters have a few handy potions and spells
Ghosts , it annoys me i cannot invite over ones i know and they dont spook anyone like earlier versions did and made sims wet themselves , they just stand around like normal sims and occasionally jump into items

If you want your aliens to look human all the time just click on them and wear the disguise , Thats what i do with one of mine
I mostly play with human sims, but my legacy heir recently had a child with a vampire, so their child may end up being a vampire. I haven't explored the occult packs very much so I still have a lot to dive into.

Sure. And thats what I have done in the past. I just didn’t like having the two forms, at all.
