Like the Club Requirement, I would like to select which sims are allowed to visit a venue. For example ban celebrities.
Like the Club Activities, I would be able to define what behavior is forbidden.
For example play video game and eat meal in a library could be forbidden.
By breaking the rules, the sims will get negative reputation points and later be expelled for a week.
Yes! Just a big resounding yes from my end. I think the perfect new solution to this would be a box office/ticket counter/welcome desk that you could place in any venue. By clicking it you should be able to:
Set uniforms on the people who work there
Set an entrance fee
Decide which age group, gender, income bracket, club, trait, aspiration, occult, university... gets to enter.
Set a dress code for patrons
Set rules for the establishment, with consequences if your sim - or NPC sims - break them.
I have a special hatred for the video games at libraries, it's so annoying when you have a student that wants to do their term paper and every single computer is used up by someone who is gaming. Always! And it's not as if you can ask them to leave (unless you have MCCC, thank heavens for that).
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!
***Note: I do think Jal does have a point with having a ticket machine for things like Concert Venues, Theatre, Amusement Parks, etc. It would be a great money maker and encourage performance halls and other entertainment places. However I just think the other stuff can be solved with an update to existing windows.
I think it even more simple to update the lot information window for things like:
Age Limits
Dress Code
Included/Excluded Groups
Celebrities
Gender - EX. Female Only Gym
Occults by Specific Groups Individually. For example Witch Grove
Papparazzi
Pets
Tourists
Rules
No Electronics
No Food or Beverages
No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service
I like the idea of anything encouraging or discouraging groups so it doesn't take me out of a game Im playing if Im trying to achieve a certain aesthetic for instance Victorian or Gothic Town or whatever. It would be weird to be playing an Alien World and Count Whosits shows up.
I would humbly suggest a Sub-Category for Restaurants, Museums and Retail stores to encourage the right type of patrons as well.

The other day a celebrity showed up at the wedding venue my sims was getting married at and nearly wrecked the whole event, standing in front of the wedding arch, getting photographed and generally taking up space. It was really annoying.
I would also like a lot trait the makes less sims spawn on a lot. I don't always want the coffee shop to be crowded.
- Forbidden behaviour won't even occur. If a sim attempts that, the action will immediately get canceled.
- Forbidden sim types won't even spawn at the venue.
B - Story side
- Forbidden behaviour will get fined according to some simple rules that we set.
- Possible fines could be actual money, reputation loss or a ban from the venue for x days.
- Played sims of a type that is forbidden at the venue (i.e. wrong age, occult, career) could try to bribe or fight their way in, but if that doesn't work, they will get escorted out.
Yes to this idea! I would really like options that let players have more control over who shows up at a lot and what they do there. I currently use a mod by LittleMsSam that lets me ban certain groups of sims. I use it ban celebrities, fans, paparazzi, and kleptomaniacs from almost all lots, and sometimes other groups to create certain special atmosphere (for example: only vampires come to the lot). I would not be able to stand Get Famous without being able to ban the celebrities who otherwise show up absolutely everwhere. I would love for a tool like this to become an official feature.
I also would like to be able to create the employee uniforms and set the guest dress code on any lot, the way we can for restaurants.
Being able to customize what actions sims do and don't do on a lot is something I've wanted for a long time as well.
I like @EnkiSchmidt 's idea to have two versions. One that is absolute (sims do not break the rules, the rules are there to set a certain feel for the lot), and one that is more of a gameplay thing where sims can break the rules but there are consequences. Personally, I would most likely only use the absolute version (to create lots that function a certain way), but I think many players would also like the other option for the challenge of trying to get away with stuff. So I think there should be both.
