It's been a minute since I played a toddler and thought I'd start a discussion thread similar to our Infants thread. We've gotten some new toddler features like milestones and quirks so please share what your toddlers have been up to.

Toddler Quirks

Sims 4 toddler quirks from the Growing Together expansion are just one way the expansion pack aims to make each child in the family unique. No longer relegated to one single trait, toddlers now gain up to three additional personality quirks that further define the way they behave and interact with others. Two toddlers with the same CAS trait can act wildly different depending on which quirks they acquire. This makes raising children feel like a unique experience every time. Depending on your toddler’s quirks, you might find yourself having to change your parenting strategy to cater to each individual child’s needs.

List of Toddler Quirks

Aggressive
Aggressive toddlers like to roughhouse and are quick to hit, bite, or kick Sims (so long as they aren’t good friends). They don’t even have to be angry like other toddlers. Watch out!

Destructive
This toddler is often destructive. Uh oh! Toddlers with this Quirk often behave like little monsters who take pleasure in the chaos they leave behind in their wake.

Early Riser
This toddler prefers to rise with the sun. Toddlers with this Quirk are more likely to wake up when the sun comes up.

Good Appetite
This toddler is always ready for food. Toddlers with this Quirk love to eat, which can make mealtime easier. But be careful! These little ones have been known to eat food off the floor… even if it’s spoiled.

Hates Bedtime
This toddler hates bedtime and naptime. Toddlers with this Quirk tend to wake up shortly after falling asleep and will often ask their caregiver for various things to avoid sleeping.

Hates Being Carried
This toddler hates to be carried! Toddlers with this Quirk can manage on their own, thank you very much. Caregivers should be careful picking this toddler up as it will likely put the toddler in a bad mood.

Hates Wakeup Time
This toddler rarely wakes up in a good mood. Toddlers with this Quirk are more likely to behave like grumpy bunnies when they wake up from a nap or sleep.

Heavy Sleeper
This toddler is a heavy sleeper. Toddlers with this Quirk won’t wake up from surrounding noises, are less likely to wake up from nightmares, and have an easier time getting good rest.

Light Sleeper
This toddler is a light sleeper. Toddlers who are light sleepers have a tendency to wake up randomly when sleeping and will need to be put back to sleep if they’re still tired.

Little Singer
This toddler loves to sing. Toddlers with this Quirk enjoy singing and tend to sing at random times throughout the day.

Loves Being Carried
This toddler loves to be held. Toddlers with this Quirk love to be carried and especially love it when their caregivers are the ones doing so. They’re also more likely to ask to be picked up when they haven’t been carried in a while.

Loves Books
This toddler loves books. Toddlers with this Quirk enjoy playing around bookshelves and are more likely to do book-related activities when able.

Loves Sounds
This toddler loves anything that makes sounds. Toddlers with this Quirk tend to be fascinated with radios, TVs, and toys that make sounds.

Loves Wakeup Time
This toddler is often bright and sunny upon awaking. Toddlers with this Quirk are more likely to be happy when they wake up compared to other toddlers.

Loves Water
This toddler loves to play in and around water. Toddlers with this Quirk are more likely to do things like splash in toilets, ask to take baths, and seek out other activities involving water.

Messy Eater
This toddler is a little extra-messy around food time. Toddlers with this Quirk are more likely to cause messes when eating their food.

Picky Eater
This toddler is very particular about food. Toddlers with this Quirk regularly refuse food that’s given to them and will even toss it from time-to-time. What a mess!

Wanderer
This toddler frequently wanders off. Toddler with this Quirk are quick to run away after they’re put down.

The main thing I’ve noticed with Destructive toddlers is that they LOVE destroying dollhouses. They often get upset at the broken dollhouse too. Yes child, actions have consequences!

We only have a few toddlers since my Sims never die.

Here is Jack as a toddler when he had his first pizza.

This animation is too cute. Jack's little paw grabbing that pizza and relishing it with closed eyes.
Pizza is still his favourite.

And this was when Logan, Jack's plushy friend had his first pizza ^^'

And this was when Greg rescued Jack and Logan from the Lab ö.Ö'

@Atreya33 I believe I read somewhere that they start with three hidden quirks so I might not be able to influence them. I'm trying though. 😄

This pic would qualify for the fourth wall thread. The dog is looking straight at us. As if he's protecting the toddlers and warning us not to take one step closer. 😄

@simgirl1010 , the dog has the trait it follows owners. Sweet but she is meddling with queues all the time, and parents of the kids drop what ever they are doing to pet her

@simgirl1010 , I may try. I am bit scared of using the cas.fulledit thingy, as they have extra traits. And I never saw official confirmation is the horrid bug fixed. (most likely I have just missed it as not seeing anyone talking about it in ages)

You can change the traits, i think with just testing cheats enabled. If you shift click on the toddler, under'\pack cheats-ep 13' you can add/remove the traits. I think they are only changable this way, as they are hidden traits and cannot be influenced.

@simgirl1010 , Faith looks cute. Funny that you are trying forLoves books and Good appetite while my toddler just got them today not long after aging up. I haven't discovered her third quirck yet. I'll have to sort some pictures and post some later (if I don't forget)

@illusie from comments made I understand it's totally random. I've already used UI Cheats to remove one quirk. It was hates bedtime. It was shortly after the whole household was asleep and she decides it's time to get up. I was like, nah, this isn't good.

Now I'm wondering if I'll get the option to replace that one.

Today is a big day. It's Brie's birthday. Several infants, toddlers and their parents were invited to the party.

Brie is now a toddler.

I lost her for a bit and found her eating cake behind the table. She has got the quirk Good appetite.

Her next quirck is Loves Books.

Oh my goodness...3 months! I thought I was doing good to last a month with an infant. Of course I gave up on first vacation, since I'd have to leave behind her baby sister, and I wasn't even going to attempt 7 nights in a haunted house. I can't even get 5 minutes through a ghost movie, lol.

Oh my goodness! They're so cute!! How did you get so many toddlers at one event. I have yet to run into any infants and toddlers in the world. My toddler needs friends.
