Furniture

Actually all the above. However, it's only a Kit. Hopefully someday soon we will get a proper Medieval Pack in Sims 4.

Yeah but while we are hoping/waiting for that
might as well list all the things that would have been useful in this kit

So which piece of furniture you had in mind?
For me, if I were to add one piece of furniture...
maybe A Throne to sit on,
that sounds like very castle thing to have

Furniture

I actually play with the Snow Escape Springs & now with the recent new stone Hot Tub from For Rent Pack. I always seem to spot hidden treasures in all packs, even the glitchy ones.

Drawbridge

A non functional drawbridge that we could place down like a carpet or something would have been nice. Also, some friezes that would create this type of support for turrets, or maybe some fake smaller turrets like the fake dormers to place around for decoration.

i voted other because i think there should be clothes and hair styles for sims of both genders all ages that fits a medival castle era

male sims all ages

female sims all ages there are so many clothe on goggle that i am posting 2 to give an idea thats the style from the louis 14 king of france era

Castle Flags

I think it is fine given that it is a kit but they will probably release some other medieval content to go with it. It is possible to combine it with furniture from Get Together (some furniture), Cottage Living (peasant cottages), and ROM (magical/fantasy style). As it is, it's a classic medieval castle.

Oh yes the turrets I never really use them because theres nothing to make them look structurally sound

some type of Turret Supports would have been cool to have

Castle Flags

I don’t know that there’s much more we could expect with a build kit. Some flags and banners would have been nice. I actually think this should have been a stuff pack. Then they could have added furniture, clothing and hair, functional moats/drawbridges and some gameplay items. But, we voted on a build kit and I think we got most of what I expected to be in it.

They could have thrown in one chair, one rug, one light fixture, and a banner at the very least.

@cyncie Yeah I didn't really expect to have indoors furniture or cas
they made it pretty clear its gonna be build and exterior only kind of kit
but I would have loved banners flags and arrow slits from concept art to have made it
ofcourse I do wish it wasn't just a kit so we could have all kinds of stuff and even more for exteriors

maybe if we have some medieval pack still to come
I mean they could do dragons pack or something and put some castle items with it...

Drawbridge

In my opinion it should not have been a kit but a stuff pack with a stuff packs level of things. But knowing that it was just a kit brought my expectation down a peg. But If I were to be completely honest I do believe that the kit should have at least had..(Who am I kidding it should have been a stuff pack in the first place.)

A working Drawbridge first off
Make the Portcullis work (Raise and Lower)
Arrow Slits
Torches
Banners
- Black with a Silver Gryphon
- Black with a Red Boar (because reasons)
- Blue with a White Unicorn
- Green with a Red Dragon
- Grey with a Black & Silver Wolf
- Red with a Black Bat or Dragon (I'm implying Dracula here)
- Red with a Gold Lion
- Royal Purple with a Silver Stag
Flags that matched the banner colors
The Renaissance Fence from Sims 3 Store with the above mentioned banners for the colors

If you want to fix this just follow up with a Castle Stuff Pack

The above stated build pieces
Very Grand Fire Place that fits the castle style
Artwork
Tapestries
Rugs
Long dining table with a runner in the above mentioned colors and motifs for the banners
A couple styles of suits of armor
- Black Knight
- Green Knight
- Standard Suit of Armor

Clothing to fit the era the castle was originated from

Wall Torches / Other lighting fixture

Maybe arrow slits actually. We only got stained glass, correct? I've been busy and haven't picked up the kit or watched very many videos.

I've been wanting some wall torches but I can make do with the brazier from GF(?).

All of it, it should have been a stuff pack. Yet again they want to cram the actual good ideas into a too small format.

Game would already have been a lot better if all game packs where expansions and all expansions where game packs considering they always go for the most boring themes in expansions.

Todays musings: I wish there was something for Castle Ceilings

I know theres the floor and you could use that but having that as ceiling seems odd somehow

and I know I could just have wood ceiling too but that also feels slightly off since we don't have big beams or anything like that to use

I'm sure a lot of people would like that. I honestly just forget about the ceilings 99% of the time in Sims 4 and Sims 2. I don't see them when I'm playing.

Spiral stairs are needed for castles… but so much else is as well.
We need the arrow slits, metal and wooden shutters for window spaces that have no glass, drawbridges… if I start thinking about Sims Medieval then the list just keeps growing.

None of the images you posted are medieval. Those clothes are from the 18th century at best. And Louis XIV was king from the mid 17th century to the early 18th century. The Medieval Era ended in the mid-15th century, with various types of fashion appearing and disappearing between the High Medieval Period and the clothing of the Age of Enlightenment, which is what you are asking for.
