OMG you guys! While this might look perfectly normal to you, I have done some major changed to this main street area of Willow Creek, "Crawdad Quarter" and just now all the lots where giving me an ! symbol. and when I looked, and clicked on Cafe Du Monde, it was gone and the street went back to straight off the shelf version. Oh my goodness! While I was considering doing this, there was a bakery I set up that was adorbs. Always back to scratch. I might be about to find it in my personal library, but just now when I checked for my last version of Daisey Hovel Renovation, it was no were to be found. My game has been acting a little possessed and weird, maps and build mode since I did the new ep. I just pray the save it is ok. I might have to uploade all my game lots and family to the gallery, but for insurance.
This must be the everlasting orange juice. Even though she were sipping on it for hours the level did not go down. But after all that time she really needed to use the bathroom so she went home. (I have seen this glitch before, mostly with food).
@LeucosiaX I had a little bit of that not too long ago, and thought I was the one going nuts. LOL The problem hasn't shown itself since. I wish you all the luck. This stuff that keeps happening is distressing.
ETA: This is in regard to the floating objects and the problems with build/buy mode.
Why do my water features, such as the duck and dragon fly, look like this? It has always done it, and I'm not sure if it is a glitch of mine, or if it does the same for everyone.
@PriestessDreadful sometimes the links are a bit weird with additions of their size or another link added to it. maybe post the link and we try to figure out what's wrong. I still post pics with [img][/img] and it works.

@LeucosiaX You might want to make that backup. Since the exclamation marks are gone now, you might be okay, but this is a major bug with For Rent that eventually causes corruption of an entire save, lot by lot, beginning with Willow Creek and proceeding to the other worlds one at a time.
This seems to be triggered by having too many residential rental lots, but the number seems to be different for different computers, it happens at 20 residential rental lots per save for some people which is supposed to be okay according to the game's limits.
Workaround for now (if you can call it a workaround) would be to go to a backup save from before the exclamation marks appeared, remove a few residential rentals, and check the Willow Creek map from time to time. oh my @mightysprite ! Thank you for that info. I only noticed the issue this Friday. I back up regularly. WIll do. Is the tray or mods effected because I can't say I backed those up every time?
18 in San Sequoia alone. SHould I go to my save before I started all my residential lots?
I started making units before I was really playing.
problem was there last week too I see now.

It's back, but I also did so much work on the residential rental build, and now I would like to save them as residential only but the game says"you can't do that with special venue types" after I evict everyone and sold it like the prompts told me. There is a serious game design error. I am so sad because I was working like mad for two weeks on these, and setting everything up. Now no effective way to save my progress, to play the world as I edited with a fraction of the units. I had 42 only, when I gave up loading screens for playing.
I fished around the forums there but I can't find the exact problem. If you have a link, please share!

That's what they look like in build mode so you can see where to place them. Now, if they still look that way when you switch back to Live mode, I would say "Houston we have a problem".
@mightysprite Thanks for the heads up. With certain advancements in my own game, I have been putting off backing it up to my new external hard drive, hubby just gave me. It was supposed to be part of my overwhelming (my word, not his) Christmas gift. He left it in his computer bag. I've now got it out of its box, but since I've experienced, roughly, some oddities in my game, as well, and the description of the game being possessed is rather apt, I may get busy today and back it up.
Wow @GalacticGal Good for you. I have done that on occasion, but game back up is taking too much of my space. In fact i have to go searching for old back ups to throw away. I have the Pre- For rent save on an external and another space on my laptop. I save only the important saves on external and update and throw away every so often. I had to back up from the Pre -For Rent save- so it was a lot.
I had to re do all my game progress, builds, moving families, re-establishing all the residential rentals...
Pretty much almost done, few things here and there.
I only kept residential rentals for the townhouses in San Sequoia. I t was 13 units there. I went to add my celebrity apartment building I made from 2020, and alway had in my game and the game started acting up again. When I loaded the lot was not residential rental but generic. I think the game stops at a certain percentage of you population to housing crisis ratio. I quit the game without saving and left it "roomies situation"
I dont know if it will get fixed but the set up is so time consuming.
