π± BASEGAME π
Part 1
Nightmare on Winterfest
We all saw it coming and there's no way to avoid the madness. Basegame buydebug.
To keep myself sane (and you from searching and scrolling) I thought I'll sort this in order of appearance. The plants are all over the place, the clutter... everything.
So when you filter for basegame and enter 'debug' into the search it usually hops to the start of the buydebug plus a few rows, just scroll up a bit until you see the rest of the basegame build/buy (the windows).
Here we go, the first rows:
Plus the first batch of clutter:
I tried to put all the cars in the next screenshot. For the truck, the limousine and the broadcast van you'll have to scroll 'a bit' ^^'
Most of these cars also come in different colors, just scroll 'a bit'...
Next batch:
There is also the big round hay bale I've been searching for in Horse Ranch and Cottage Living buydebug!
Basegame buydebug has a lot of awesome plants. Many much prettier than regular build/buy. Plus: hanging plants!
Next clutter batch. Just awesome
You get rewarded for all this scrolling
Good thing is that you can put 'paprika' or 'salad' or 'knife' into the search to find some of these objects. Most stuff is just labeled with 'DEBUG'.

π Highschool Years βΉοΈ
Ah, I love Highschool years build/buy and the debug!
You can even set up your own carnival!
There are also the 'rugs' from the parking lot next to the highschool, the store, more amazing planters...
This buydebug really is a chest full of treasures hahaha
I am so much into stars with four points, so I immediately fell in love with that rug or whatever that is (the one on the very right). But unfortunately I couldn't find it it came with Highschool years and is hidden in showhiddenobjects? Because that is what I searched for but well... without success. I would really appreciate it if you may help me to find it!
@Breathe_No_More ah great! I mentioned it only in the first post, I should have put the description how to enter which cheats in more posts ^^'

Part 2
Nightmare on Winterfest
To find where we ~ are now, check the position of the bar to the right.
You don't have to scroll, just hold and drag it slowly down to this position until you see the dinsosaur ^^
There he is. The Dinosaur from Oasis Springs!
And the ponds and fishing signs.
You can place them anywhere and so you can even fish in your swimming pool!
There are fishing singns in many packs and they have different fish to catch.
Lots of funny signs, the planters/grasspatches a lot of youtubers use in their build videos, a plane, fences a bus stop...
And I think these step stones are awesome
The tree to the right is also in regular build mode but this one is a bit pinker
There is also this 'Public Fire Pit' I have no idea where this is from or what is does ΓΆ.ΓΆ' I placed it once but it did nothing.
Maybe I should have waited a bit longer? But we were in a hurry ^^'
And the awesome clutter. If you don't own kits, basegame buydebug is just amazing.
You have here: the Home Improvement Kit, The Garden Kit, the Kitchen Kit...
I love the bread and buns And there are even pens and pencils!
Oh my, we're through!
When I start something I never know if I make it because ADHD, so I'm very proud of me
The last part of basegame buydebug and the last part of this advent calendar. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I finally did this.
Now I have a resource to remind me of the great buydebug stuff.
I found a lot of great objects I never noticed before, especially in Basegame buydebug because it's so huge!
And I think I'm going to make a list in the first post of this thread with the links to the pack posts in order of release to find them easier.
So we are now in the last third of basegame buydebug.
Today I thought that a lot of these awesome shell buildings are great for new builders.
You can place them and then you try to rebuild them. So you have a one to one copy in 3D, you see where to place the windows, how long the walls are...
There are also the entrances to the secret places.
These awesome signs
Strange cats and dogs, more signs, the earth pile for our next special ... logs for your fireplace...
Great clutter, even a whole makeup set! And the phone and tablet are even on!
All the harvestables are in buydebug too (you can search them by their name, sugar and flour too) and the trees (some as earth piles but just shiftclick and you can set their growth stage)
All the skill books. Next to the open notebook is even a pile of money!
And almost at the end are these great wall plants, I try to keep them in mind.
There is also the cowplant (as a little earth pile with horns to the far right, shiftclick to set it to fully grown).
More boats and even a boat trailer. If only we had a car for it
And rocks. They come with a lot of packs and in many different colors. I use them often to build caves.
Caves in my game
Isn't it strange/weird/scary that it exactly worked out?
Around mid december I thought 'oh my there aren't enough packs to make it until 24th!' (because my ADHD brain never plans stuff through hahaha).
There are a lot of game packs that don't have anything remarkable in buydebug and most smaller packs either.
But then I went from day to day and it worked out precisely!
(Or I forgot something, but I don't think so ^^')
So this had been the only year to make such an advent calender because next year there's more packs and buydebugs. Crazy ΓΆ.Γ'
Thank you for reading, liking and commenting!
I'd love to see what you do with the objects from the buydebug! If you like, you can tell us or post screenshots here.
- I added an INDEX to find each pack quickly. It is on Page 1 -> here
- I added more objects/screenshots to Cottage Living. I forgot a few things ^^'
- I found out about the public firepit in this Basegame post. Ingame it's located in Brindleton Bay at Whiskerman's Wharf. There it works. I'll have to try again. Found the Information -> here on The Sims Community.
If you really wanted to scare the kiddies on Halloween, you could just decorate the front yard by placing that Mother Plant! This stuff is awesome. I have from time to time, opened up buy debug so that I could replace a Starlight Accolades Award. But, I didn't think to scroll through it all for these wonderful goodies. Some of it strategically placed could really spruce up a piece of property.
@Breathe_No_More sure it's ok, that's what this thread is for
I always place these plants from the buydebug, so I know it works.
Sometimes there is more than one version of the same plant in the buydebug (especially trees) so maybe put the name of the plant in the search again and try another one.
EDIT: But I also had problems with the 'in Season' cheat. This never works for me. When I login again, the plant is gone.
I just created a park with lots of plant boxes inside of a building and used almost everything from that one planters kit (I don't know the English version name for it, but it came this year and it is all about plant glasshouses). Now some of the flowers and trees give me things to harvest, but still; the forbidden tree and the money tree remain being just decor π. Let's see how it will turn out.
And yes, I experience the same with the "in season" cheat. When leaving the lot, the cheat is gone as well.
@Breathe_No_More maybe try to plant these trees from their fruit (also from buydebug). That's what I always do.
In the following picture you see that there are more versions of a plant.
I just have an example from the Growfruit.
But they grow and have fruit.
But I'll also try with forbidden fruit and money tree. Maybe they are locked somehow?
I just did it as well, I have planted the trees and bushes from their fruit, except for the money tree and the forbidden fruit, and those are the two that don't work. I have found the money fruit in buydebug, so I will replace the tree with the fruit, but I could not find the forbidden fruit
Also the fruits only spawn when my Sim spends the night at the lot (between 5 and 6 AM at least), otherwise the trees and bushes remain empty. π
@Breathe_No_More When you enter 'Forbidden' into the search, it shows up and you can click on it. It jumps to a row below the fruit (I have no idea why, though) and then you'll have to scroll up for a while until you see the fruit with the green frame. It's blue and brown.

I have been playing with debug gardens this week, too. Trees did not produce harvestables, but if I laid the fruit on the ground and had my sim plant the fruit, the fruit would grow into a tree that is harvestable.
I have found that I need to be on the lot before 5:00 am and that I can harvest at 5:30. And the more time that I spend on the lot in general, the faster the plants mature. Also if I have a 32 tile micro home, and the tiny house lot trait enabled, the plants mature quicker.
I have not tried the money tree, but I often start my rags to riches in the fall and plant dragon fruit. If I play the 28 day seasons, by the end of fall, I have no problem finishing the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration.
Many thanks for this labor of love that you put so much work into! Have bookmarked it for ready access even after it gets buried with the passage of time.
A quick question. While most of the items are obviously decor only, are any of them actually usable by sims?
@Oldeseadogge of course. I mentioned a lot of them in the posts but here are the ones that come to my mind that I use often:
- harvestables I never buy seed packs, just pick them from buydebug. Good thing is that they are in a cluster all together and they go under their actual names instead of 'DEBUG' so you can put them in the search to find them easily. There are also all the crystals and all the other collectables under their names. Great for potion making. Also some of the stuff you can only buy from the vending machines.
- books skill books, spell books ... and my beloved strangerville and werewolf books. Also under their name
- fishing signs and ponds, this is great when you look for a certain fish since you cant put the fish in your inventory when you place them from buydebug (afaik)
- the cool stuff from paranormal
- all the animals goats, sheep, bunnies, chicken... i never used the ranch exchange and I have no idea where to get a chicken from if not from buydebug ^^' π£
- the motherplant and the scanner from Strangerville
- the little robots from University
- the spaceships from Journey to Batuu. You can really fly away with them! And you can also interact with the droids and the lightsabers.
- the rocks and excavation patches from Jungle Adventure
- maybe the carnival objects from Highschool Years, never tested, though
- the portals from Realm of Magic, also the wands, potions, brooms...
- the juice and the nectar from Eco Livestyle and Horse Ranch
- the TV from Eco Lifestyle
- all the fabricated furniture from Eco Lifestyle, plus the fabricated bikes π΄
- I think I tried once and the entrances to the hidden places from basegame also work
Thank you. Now that you mention it, I remember those comments from when I was reading the posts. What I get for not taking notes. With this list and the bookmarking should be good to go. The Batuu ships are particularly interesting as I have a sim that's big on being in the Resistance, even before I got the Batuu pack. Move her into a big enough lot and we'll be in good shape. I've always gotten my chickens from the henhouse. Clicking on an empty or not yet full one gives you buy options and a list of birds.
Today I wanted to build a fence around the little patio in front of the nectar shop.
But the fences I liked were too high.
Then I remembered this thread and scrolled through and I found a similar fence in the Jungle Adventure post, scaled it down and placed the vines from Horse Ranch.
Being able to scale them down is a great advantage of the buydebug fences and you can place them off the grid.
The awesome nectar press is also only available in buydebug, even in different swatches.
Yee hah! Didn't know that about the fences. This just might take care of one of my pet peeves - not being able to place fences at the outer boundary of the lot, like you can in Sim2. Now you've got me thinking about debug hedges. I'm putting in a formal garden and could really use that extra line of squares. Always learning something new here, thank you.
