      Though he is no longer with us, I want to extend my thanks to our friend, Scumbumbo, who created mods that did this literally years ahead of this update. Still miss you!
      The Sims is NOT a game, it's a lifestyle choice.

      @Brd709 Have you tried to delete your cache and repair the game?

      No you can save in a university lot. remove any mods and cc and test in a new save. At the university.

      Crisis averted, exiting back to the main menu and re-loading game sorted it out.

      I was hoping I could update before work but I guess it won't be available for me till later I was in a different game and didn't see it, after restart either so meh. Hopefully it works soon.

      Waiting for the patch notes to find out what else besides the standard-gas-oven-by-blazin-ladles was fixed.

      Good to know, I shortly thought the EA App glitched...

      And of course I just extracted everything and checked my mods and can do it once again now :/

      Ya I was just about to say I had two updates back to back which I've never seen before. I was actually wondering if it unlocked For Rent early by mistake but sadly not...

      Actually I'm kinda happy it wasn't released today (early), I'm still building my new lots for the expansion and not ready for it!

      On a totally different note, just curious does anybody else have the same habit of me, where you remove your tray and saves, delete everything in your doc folder (mods optional since most are outdated) before updating so it creates a new sims doc* folder from scratch with each update? I also run "repair" after each patch to just to verify the files, I've actually noticed in the odd circumstance where this might repair some odd issues after a patch too.

      I just ran repair after the first patch! Guess I’ll have to do it all over again once the second patch has downloaded!
      ETA: maybe I’ll just wait a bit first, in case there are any more patches…

      It sounds like these updates have seriously broken a lot of mods, including MCCC. Looks like I’ll have to practise some building for the next while — or more likely, play TS3 :)

      Perhaps the second patch contains last-minute fixes for the new EP.
