    Chef Hustle Appliance problems

    I love the new pack, but somethings are just not really enjoyable right now. Every single time my sim, that is highly skilled at cooking, uses the pizza oven or the waffle maker, they both start a fire. Every. Single. Time. I hope this gets fixed soon, I was so excited to have these new appliances and yet they are not really playable because of this issue.

      I face the same problem. They don't catch fire every time but so often that I avoid those appliances. I want my sims to enjoy pizza. I hope this gets fixed or someone makes a mod to address this issue.

      I don't have the pack yet, but with stoves I think risk of fire is reduced with Handiness skills. So, being top skilled in Cooking might not be enough if your sim has zero Handiness skills?

      Nope, because my sims are both level 10 in handiness as well.

      I hope this doesn't seem off topic, because all these suggestions are related.

      The home chef pack is a nice way to expand upon cooking related skills. However, there needs to be updated compatibility between home chef and other game packs. For instance, prepped ingredients can be used for most cooking via the stove, but I noticed that the cupcake factory from GTW doesn't have the option to use cottage living fresh ingredients or home chef prepped ingredients (you have to install SCCO or RCM mods).

      Secondly, since cottage living and horse ranch have more rustic themes, I think there should be patches to home chef to add new rustic style appliance alternatives. For instance, a manually operated hand mixer for making prepped ingredients, to match with the simple living lot challenge. A wood burning brick oven for pizza and bread making to match horse ranch. A stovetop waffle iron/griddle to use with off the grid compatible stoves for a better eco footprint. Then these new rustic style appliance alternatives would not catch fire all the time. Additionally, you wouldn't need the handiness skill for upgrading the rustic style appliance alternatives.

      Any reports on the bugs being fixed? There are way too many cooking fires as it is so not keen on adding to them.
