I am very perplexed.... Didn't see anything about his death or what he died of when checking neighborhood stories..... he just..... is dead, I guess.....
Thanks, I gave it a Me Too and commented my story. It's very bizarre. The current ranch hand goes home when he should, though. So if it was just the not going home thing I'd still be annoyed and want it fixed so it doesn't happen again, but this strange death is what really makes it so.... attention grabbing for me. So many questions......
Programming, game development, and glitches are absolutely wild.....
I've never had a sim win the lottery, so I have no idea. Has anyone ever checked Carl's Sims 4 Guide to see if there's a way to up the chances? There has to be a way to sort of cheat the system. I don't want to look as I will be tempted to use it too often. I try to keep my cheating to a minimum these days.
My sim self's late son Andrew won the lottery winning 1 million Simoleans before going to university. He went to university together with his sister Ayla and when they both graduated, I forgot to move Ayla out of their university house first and she ended up with all of Andrew's money!
So I've only just updated to the horse update through Steam, immeditely noticed have popup menu portraits shifted to the left now, or am I just seeing things?
Lol I just came here to type something about the lottery in my game and youre all talking bout it.
( idk but i would think it would up the chance)
Anyway in my game Sprinkles (a dog) just won the lottery
The dog? Makes me think of a novel my mother used to have on the shelf. Rhubarb, the Cat. She told me it was about a rich man who left everything to his cat, Rhubarb.

Oh, now that's just messed up. Can you rollback? If not, you may wish to install SimRealism's SNB and SNB-BILLS. There's a way to transfer funds with those. OR you could cheat her windfall back down and cheat his back up.

This was way back in 1982 and Andrew has long passed on now (it's 1998 in my save now) he died from laughter in 1989 and his sister Ayla still has 800,000 of it left!

Oh, I do hope she wasn't causing him to laugh, else you've got a case of simacide on your hands.

His death wasn't Ayla's fault. He was an actor and one of his gig tasks was to research playful emotion and when I clicked on this he became hysterical and death showed up straight away!

Well, then I guess you can just leave things as they are, (your game, your way) or cheat the funds to the person who should have had it?
Some of you may have seen my various attempts to rotate between all of the premades over the last few years. I always end up scrapping the save and moving onto something else. I'm attempting it again but this time, I'm only rotating through the Windenburg premades. I just started last night so I haven't played a whole sim day. I started with the Villarreal family, and it's already chaotic. In a span of a few sim hours, Max started an argument with Jacques, then with Hugo. Hugo has taken his anger out on the dollhouse, the stuffed bear, and Luna.
The class 1 high school teacher in my save Rita Coombes has been randomly replaced by new class 1 teacher this week. Apart from culling, why would the game suddenly decide to replace her?

Retirement? Random death?
If I'm not mistaken, she is an elder so it's likely. If aging is on, she probably died of old age. I think the only NPCs that are 'immortal' are the Crumplebottoms and the Creature Keeper whose name escapes me. I'm not 100% sure that any of those are immortal apart from Agnes. Also, maybe Greg from Moonwood Mill.

I put it down to retirement. I summoned Rita Coombes via MCCC to one of my sim's housees and she is alive and kicking as elder. I've turned aging off for now as long lifespan appears to be bugged on MCCC and Dederpool is trying to replicate the bug i've described to them.

I'm fairly certain elders don't autonomously retire. However, they will leave their jobs (any sim will) if you have that option in Neighborhood Stories turned on. I typically turn Neighborhood Stories for the NPCs such as the Crumplebottoms, the Henford Mayor, and the Wolf Packs of Moonwood Mill.
Another question. Is there any place where i can download empty worlds of existing worlds with no pre-built lots to add to my current save? I'd love another blank Newcrest and rename it to the name of my actual town that I live in.

His job was literally his life! 😄
Here is the bug report for your bug though

Edit: your bug, minus the death.

Random spot notwithstanding, at least you know what happened to him.

Good question. I really don't know. So far it hasn't made any difference in my game. But then again, Sims freeze to death often in my game, too.
