Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, however I think horses are so way better than babies, dogs, sheep, goats, Cows, Llamas & maybe even chickens.😉

I love the customization on them, however I feel like they need more things to do.

I don't mind the North American inspired worlds. I feel like they fit together nicely and make sense when traveling between them. That's not to say I don't want non-American worlds, just that I don't mind them.

This doesn’t bother me, either. I guess I don’t think of the Sims as living in our world to start with. To me, they live in their own world that takes inspiration from a variety of places. That’s also why…

Unpopular opinion #1: I don’t mind their little unrealistic quirks. They’re not us. They have their own culture and their own way of doing things. Thinking of it this way takes the frustration out of them washing dishes in the bathroom sink. That’s just how it is with Sims. They have their own culture. Which brings me to …

Unpopular opinion #2: English writing and real life logos on Sims CC. They speak Simlish. What is this human gibberish on their shirts?

I typically just roll my eyes when they rush to they bathroom sink and chalk it up to Sims logic.

I agree 100% on English logos. I don't use CC anymore but I never cared for English writing on anything I downloaded. I don't think that's too unpopular of an opinion though. I think we might be in the majority with that one.

My other (maybe not so) unpopular opinion:
I don't like alpha CC. For me, it doesn't fit the game. I didn't mind it in TS3 but TS4 not so much. I know there is a big debate about it within the community, but to each their own.

Alpha CC might look pretty in the screenshots where a creator is advertising it, but it must look weird in-game. It just doesn’t fit with the game’s aesthetic. Unless of course you change everything to be CC. But that’s just way too much effort for me haha.

I’m not a fan of skin overlays with bright red blush on someone’s nose. They look like they’ve got a really bad cold! I even saw one where the bright red patches were on the Sim’s knees and fingers. It looked so weird.

unpopular opinon.... I could care less for faries. I would rather have cars, hotels and the ability to build my own apartments and make my own worlds.

I wouldn’t mind a create-your-world system if it was like the one in Sims 2, which came with pre-existing templates with roads etc, and all you had to do was place the lots and add decor. The CAW that came with the Sims 3 Store was way too complicated for me.

Here's an example of weird skin overlays. The blush on her nose and around her eyes, plus her miserable expression, just makes me want to give this kid some Kleenex and cold medicine!

I don't miss the open world from The Sims 3 all that much. I don't mind sitting through a short loading screen if it means my computer won't blow up and it won't take four Sim hours to use an elevator.

I’m with you on this. I really hated the idea of going back to loading screens at first, but I don’t mind them and I like being able to travel between worlds. To me, it’s actually made the game feel bigger. Also, I realize now how much freaking time I spent watching my sim run up a hill to a road, catch a cab, and drive to whatever destination, only to find it closed. Not really all that fun, after all. Which is why…

Unpopular opinion: I don’t really miss cars.

I too am with you on the loading screens. Open world is nice but I like that my computer doesn't sound like it's going to take flight.

I really have no opinion on cars. If we get them, fine. If not, that's fine too. I just hope if we do eventually get them we get careers, aspirations, skills, and likes/dislikes related to them.

I can't think of an unpopular opinion at this time.

I did used to like having my Sims take their babies/toddlers on a walk with the pushchairs/strollers, because the babies and toddlers made adorable noises whilst riding. But it did make journeys take a lot longer, particularly when the adult Sim had to stop and take their child out of the stroller to walk a little way, then put the child back into the stroller.
I prefer the way Sims 4 neighbourhoods to the Sims 2 ones. With the Sims 2 ones, you could see the surrounding lots but they were blurred and so when you were on your home lot, it felt rather isolated. With the Sims 4 neighbourhoods at least it feels more alive in that sense.

I’m not hugely fussed about cars. Sims 2 has cars and loading screens.

I don't want cars. I'd love to be able to get rid of those driving around. Instead, I'd like to see trains, buses, trams, subways and other modes of public transport. Cars should be a thing of the past and I'm definitely not gonna pay for them. Why would I pay for a game car when I don't even have a real one?

Spoken like someone who has only ever lived somewhere walkable (and never had to figure out how to get something larger than themselves home from a shop that doesn't deliver) I'm teasing, as I prefer living somewhere walkable myself, but I've spent plenty of time in places where the "next door" neighbor was a ten minute walk away, so personal vehicles were kinda required if you wanted to do anything in a timely fashion (not to mention hauling livestock around.)

That said, I'll join in the popular unpopular opinion that loading screens aren't so bad and open world is overrated. I never actually played Sims 3, but from what I've seen in a few let's plays and in the Life By You previews, I'm not impressed. The worlds always feel so empty.

I'd say I don't want cars, but ... I'd be lying. I don't want drivable cars, though. and I certainly don't see them as a "needed" expansion.

I don't want disabilities or wheel chairs in a cartoony goofy game

Me neither. And I also don't want real life desasters in the game like hurricanes, tornados, floods ect.

And I can't understand the wish for more types of death in Sims 4.

It’s not so much that I don’t want wheelchairs or disabilities, but I just don’t trust EA to do it justice.

More types of death? We’ve got plenty! I also don’t want “realistic” disasters. That just sounds miserable. I play Sims 4 for fun, and to escape from daily life… natural disasters would be awful.

I am the opposite. I would like fairies but at this point I don't need cars anyone. We have too many lots not connected to roads.

My unpopular opinion : we have enough male haircuts with thick windswept hair. A lot of them look very similar. I would like a few more half bald options. I believe we have one in outdoor retreat (not up to standard with newer hairstyles) and one in snowy escape. Loads of real life men have a retreating hairline but it is difficult to recreate them in game.

I agree. Hearing aids are an accessory and assigning it to each outfit is a chore up to the player. glucose monitor are only visuals. If we get wheelchairs they should be done right or not at all.

This I agree with with. Maybe even more hairstyles that have a little bit of graying.

I don't need or want a grim reaper career, as I see no fun in taking other Sims lives.

Lifespans need an overhaul. Normal is too short and long is too long. Normal should become the new short, and the new normal should be double the current normal. Or there needs to be a stage between normal and long. Like extended or something. Or better yet, sliders so we could set our own spans.

I wish it was more like TS3 where you could adjust the days of each lifestage, including pets. Of course you can do that with MCCC but it would be nice if it was in the game without mods.

    Unpopular opinion -

I like ts4 better than all previous versions.

It's my fav. Granted a lot of that is because I'm on pc and have so much support from the modding community. But everything and ts4 is entertaining to me. I love how sims carry their coffee to their food. I love talking to a tree and finding a mystical place to pick bushes and fish. I guess maybe this could all get boring eventually but every game gets boring in time. Right now I'm having way more fun than I did in any other sim versions.

Also wondering if they will do fairies in ts4 it would be nice addition.

If they ever make a hotel pack, I prefered it to be a game pack and without a new world. They need to focus in the real object, the hotel mechanics. (We already have plenty destinations)
