I like the idea of a museums update. I've always thought that museums are a wasted opportunity in game. As they are, they mostly just take up space, but correctly used they could be awesome:
An active or semi-active career as museum curator
Art and other object only available for museum venues (at least without cheating or stealing them)
Museum gift shop items, among other things posters with pictures of the art not available for normal homes
Activities such as guided tours, art classes, archaeology classes where you are mentored in your skill by someone (like you are in a gym) - your skill would increase faster in class than out of it.
Homework activities for Discover University for art students (to go to museums and analyse art)
School trips for high school students (HSY)
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!
I think all of these ideas are really cool, although the spirituality update could be tricky because there are so many practices and the sims team seems to mostly keep religion out of the game. I'd love to see a pool update: -new water slide object, maybe a few different types if we are lucky -base game version of the diving board -new pool interactions like play marco polo or dive to the bottom -new swimsuits for all ages -pools added to base game houses in willow creek and oasis springs when appropriate
@Oceancat Yeah,i do agree that they will probably ignore it to avoid backlash for using a real-life religion. That's why "spirituality" would be the focus, with the nuances of the energies and how you deal with it and a brief possibility to create a personal faith (that don't ressemble anything from the real life) + some cas items for cultural identification.
I liked your pool ideas and i've seen many people asking for somethings like that. I'd love jammers, swimming cap and goggles.
I would love to be able to work in the restaurants. I have always wanted to be the chef in my own restaurant. Also, sometimes all of the staff does not show up, if it is the host the only options you have are to close the restaurant or fire the hot during the service and hire a new one. Running a successful restaurant in the Sims 4 is while challenging. It would be a lot more enjoyable if we could take on those roles.
I would also like the sims to be able to go to the hospital when sick and for the hospital to be an actual venue.
I would also like concert to be a type of event that you can arrange.
-cupcake, cookie and lemonade stands for the kids -dress fitting would be nice -bachelorette and bachelor party or some made up non-gender conforming term
Is it possible to create a Sims 4 baby shower packet , where we can have the option to have an event ? This would be so much fun. Especially if my sims can ask other sims for money for the baby. Also could the cake tasting stand be more useful, like maybe we can buy a cake there or gain a happy or romantic moodlet?
I would like more clothes/ hairstyle and beard options for everyone. And be able to adjust the height of the sims. In the spa pack, there are no spas that appear in the world for you to go to, to enjoy the spa run by npc without making one myself. Also be able to run your own business that isnt retail/ restaurant. I want to be able to run a cafe or coffee shop. The food stalls can’t be run by my sims either and I have to hire someone to run it. For the nanny, I feel like having the option to pay for x amount of hours for services before hand might be nice. Sometimes they leave when I come back other times they are there really late. If anything, maybe a daycare center be a thing where you can drop baby- toddler off so you can go to work or do other things while your child is taken care of in the mean time. It would also be really cool if that was a thing, and you could become friends with other sim moms and have play dates and know which sims have children similar age to your own. Strollers would be cool! I once built and ran a restaurant but I had to constantly be there or else I would lose money and it just wouldn’t run. There’s got to be other ways to earn better money running the restaurant cause no matter what I do, I’m never really making profit that would realistically be worthwhile. Maybe like cater events at the restaurant or parties in general? I would love more interactions and stuff to do with the farm animals, or have more farm animals in general with a functional barn that houses the animals that you could see into like you would your house. I also think more sub career options would be nice. Also! I wanna be able to hire someone to help with farm animals or gardening/farming. Or like an assistant?? Idk. There should also be more single and random npc sims. I always make a new character/ world and am left with same old options unless I make them. But although playing multiple sims can be fun it also hard and stressful trying to play them all in my household. I wanna be able to only play my character and interact with the other household members without having to constantly switch between them all. Just like how there is the option to influence the children into doing homework there should be options to talk and influence/suggest to the household members to take care of themselves? Or just have them take care of themselves better and communicate more on feels and wants to each other without having to switch between sims constantly. Not that I want my sims to get hurt, but if they did, like sprained ankle, broken bone, accident etc, going to see the doctor for sickness and wheelchairs and crutches or casts would be an interesting option for the game. I also like the compatibility between sims that’s available for good great and bad compatibility between sims, maybe fated could be an option? Or love at first sight? I also love the milestone moments and think there should be more added. There should be more stuff for pets like wall shelves for cats climbing, more toys etc. it would be pretty cool to have a hiking option with a trail up a mountain where you can forage, find lakes to fish on and live in a cabin jn the woods. Like the ski mountain world but it’s woods for hiking and outdoor living, really rustic. Speaking of rustic, I would love rustic options for decoration and house building. I feel like I was rambling but there is just so much potential and ideas
@Chacha96 I've seen a lot of people asking for a Daycare, an it'd be really cool for babies and nanny gameplay, but they have done so much babies content without it that i doubt we'll ever see it. I really miss hiring a gardener, and an farm assistant would be great too. I can see wheelchairs being introduced as a temporary thing inside the hospital. About the rustic theme it really sounds like Outdoor Retreat which could really use a refresh.
i think that they should add making wills and leaving inheritance into the base game as it gives you more to do with the elders. it could also start family feuds and issues with the families. i think it would be a really good idea
* exercise bikes (one normal, one instructor - like with the yoga mats), so you can have one at home, or arrange spinning classes at gyms or spas.
* Going on a hike, a walk or a jog together with someone, where sims walk side by side, if walking while talking to each other
* Reading while relaxing in bed or a sunbed
* Talking to someone while relaxing in bed or a sunbed
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!
I'd also love a museum update, but I want enough done with them that it'd probably be a full game pack. At minimum, an active career working at the museum, field trips for HSY, and a return of the TS3 time machine (for museum workers to do research in the past or grab artifacts, for high school students on field trips to sneak into, or for engineer or scientist characters to invent).
On a more "updatey" sort of thing, better matching wood swatches, especially on stairs, pillars, and foundations, and fix the kitchen islands that have the cupboards on the wrong side.
I would like to see the burglar along with burglar alarms back. Also the social worker. My kid just up and disappeared in a poof of smoke. Also, some Caribbean foods and new career opportunities.
Psychiatric ward Neurological assessments Illnesses (mild to life threatening and possibility to get passed on through genetics) New traits Therapy centre's The ability to face and overcome challenges
I'd love to have the ability to toggle Townie/NPC spawning OFF. It's just ridiculous how fast the Townies constantly spawn...give us the option to turn Townie/NPC spawning off,EA. I want to fill the towns with the Townies I make, not the badly-dressed Townies that look like they took 2 seconds to put random mis-matched outfits on.
I'd also love to see a multi-purpose community lot put into a free update. Having multi-purpose community lots (like in sims 1 and 2) would open up so much more gameplay for people.
Cooking in base game needs yet another overhaul as the hire a cook is broken for years now and they haven't fixed it. I also wish some of the recipe ingredients could exist in game such as corn and hay as growing crops, as well as chicken meat and other realistic options. We should be able to make flour as well (maybe in a paid DLC though?).
Color wheel for CAS including hair, eyes, makeup and skintones (not including clothing)
Heterochromia in CAS
Game time speed overhaul so we can have more time for Simday to do more than Sims taking hours to eat, take a bath or shower and taking care of other basic needs and then going to school or work, not enough freetime in game.
Wheel chairs and more appropriate acknowledgement of disabled people in game, and new accessibility options, including ramps for houses and public community lots and worlds. (There was a potential hint for wheelchairs/disabilities updates in High School Years by the way; you can see a car parking with the wheelchair symbol there)
New basegame traits and at least 1-2 more trait slots for Teens/Young Adults and older, as well as maybe an overhaul for less personality-defining traits such as Lactose Intolerant and Vegan, they should make a Sub-Trait/Side-trait category or something, as I do not know of any person who defines their main personalities as being allergic to milk or being vegan)
Family tree overhaul
Cars and buses
Base game bikes
Spiral stairs
Preteen life stage
Mid Adult/Older Adult life stage
Online dating
Landline phones and setting to only use landline phones in certain game saves and turning modern smart phones off (medieval/centuries historical game challenge?)
Newspapers
Burglars and burglar alarms and option in settings to toggle them off for players who don't want them
Upping the 8 Sims max household limit, preferably to 12 or 18 minimum so we can have proper horse farms and cats and dogs with Sims
Attic room tool
Reading Skill
Museums overhaul (as @kemowery stated above, so much yess! We need that at some point )
Real estate overhaul which means now Sims could own more than 1 home lot in-game, as well as buying shares for public venues or even buying them with enough money.
More emotions and an emotions overhaul so it won't override everything else in the Live Mode while playing the Sims
Curved swimming pools overhaul
The reintroduction of Missions/Opportunities from The Sims 3 base game. I feel like Odd Jobs aren't the same thing.
I would like to see the burglar along with burglar alarms back. Also the social worker. My kid just up and disappeared in a poof of smoke.
Also, some Caribbean foods and new career opportunities.
Yess, and this *may* be sensitive but I wish the base game had more religious clothing and foods such as more hijabs and Muslim clothing for men and women and more appropriate clothing, hairstyles and accessories for Hindu and Buddhist Sims (I love India and Pakistan so much, don't ask why haha ...and while they are at it, would be lovely to get an India inspired GP or EP with a full world inspired by the beauty of India, and of course consulting with actual Indians for the pack) and some Jewish clothing too?
Edit: not to mention the fact that I have a good online friend and she created herself and her Pakistani boyfriend in TS4, so I feel like she and others deserve more Pakistani and Indian traditional clothing and food etc for this game?
We desperately need a More Names/Randomized (NPC) Names overhaul for this game as not everyone can use mods such as console players. I want more interesting names than the same boring small amount of Finnish default names in game. I want Moroccan, Indian, Finnish, English, Latin names in base game. I have no idea why but it is shocking how no one seems to have a problem with the lack of character names in The Sims 4 since 2014, I always had this issue, can I ever get this wish granted
I'd love to see a sprinkler that waters a larger area.
Either it could keep the cube-like area (even rotating) or spray in a particular direction (like what you see when you're driving on a road trip over the really big croplands). It's hard to keep so many repaired, upgraded, and operational/enabled. Plus expensive. This would be especially handy with all of this new farming/gardening-themed gameplay. Thanks for hearing me out!
- Changing tables and stuff to do for infants
- More child aspirations
- Milestones
- Social compatibility
- Multi-purpose lots (let's call them "rec centres")
In other words: Most features from Growing Together should have been base game updates - especially the infant stuff, because without the pack, they're just smaller toddlers with barely any gameplay. San Sequoia could still be sold separately as a world kit for all I care.
Other than that, as an astrology fan, I'd like to see zodiac signs patched in. They don't even have to do anything in the base game alone (because, you know, unlike infants they're not actually life stages), just a setting in CAS would be fine, a base for various DLC to expand on, similar to the already existing lunar phases.

Something wicked this way comes!
I don't use MCCC.
