I think most of the Gurus are off today, and definitely tomorrow for Independence Day. We probably won't get any new info until the gameplay trailer on Thursday.
What? In the horse screenie posted by Egon iy says the horse's "current value §12,000"! It looks like our Rancher can make a living from training and selling horses! This is new compared to TS3, no? If you get to "rescue" a wild horse, then befriend it and train it to actually win contests, your sim might make a lot of money. Should be enough to make a living from training and selling horses! Can't wait to learn more about this!
It looks like they've added more braids, but I don't see any low, singular long braids for males---if this is a first-nations based EP, that's sorely missing. It's an important part of many first nation people's hairstyle expressions.

Selling horses isn't new as The Sims 3 allowed you to sell and buy horses through Equestrian center. Though it is the first time you can see the sale price at any time (in The Sims 3, you could only see the price when the game asks for your confirmation when selling a horse). The Equestrian center in The Sims 3 also offered horse reproduction services. I do wonder if The Sims 4 offers the same service possibilities somewhere...
I think I spotted the secret cavern(s) mentioned in the official blog post....
WARNING! Don't click on the spoiler below if you want to keep the location a mystery until you play the pack!
It's located directly beneath the natural bridge by the waterfalls (next to the creek running under the bridge).
I just can't help myself, I love playing 'detective' with all the screenshots and reveal trailers, zooming in and out trying to spot all the new assets and possible gameplay items....
It's like playing the Sims version of a hidden object game.
I wonder if that means we can go in the creek.
We probably can swim there. It would be a huge shame if we couldn't. There is also picnic areas around the world probably with the new fire pit and wooden furniture.
I sure hope we can swim in it. I love it when they include swimming areas in new packs, it always gives our sims something extra to do in the worlds

I hope we are able to breed horses to sell, if we have a champion horse ( or a male and female one ) maybe we can breed them to make good money.

Yeah, breeding 2 valuable horses might give their foal a higher start value. Someone mentioned the horses will have family tree (?), I hope that might indicate that some foals will be more valuable/desirable than others
From the trailers there seem to be at least 13 different types of nectar. The black-labelled bottles seem to be occult-themed.
They look like:
1- Grape
2- Apple
3- Strawberry
4- The flower from a valerian plant (Realm of Magic)
5- Prairie Grass?
6- Unspecified?
7- Unspecified?
8- Heart, unspecified? (It's hard to tell in the trailer since the hand is covering the label but this seems to match the bottle that brings the ghost sim back to life)
9- Lemon or potato?
10- Plasma fruit (Vampires)
11, 12, 13- No idea for the first, the second could be moonflower (Werewolves), the third is very hard to see, it might be a bee (honey)?

Awesome!
Re #9: I'm pretty sure I read there will be potato nectar.
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..
Contains a bar, a dance hall, and a equestrian park.
Known neighborhoods:
New Appaloosa - The downtown area.
Riders' Glen - the ranches' neighborhood.
Galloping Gulch - the national park neighborhood.
Somewhere in the world is Dreadhorse Caverns where sims can go into and explore.
Besides horses, there are also Mini Sheep and Mini Goats.
Prairie Grass can be harvested for the Animal Feeder.
Ranch Hand can be hired to help out with the ranch activities.
Nectar making:
Fruits, potatoes, and trash (unclear if it's garbage pile or Trash Fruit) can be used to make nectar.
One bottled nectar can be consumed in multiple servings. It looks like sims pour it in glasses (not like with fizzy juice where it is drunk straight out of bottle).
Each have different effects. One of them can resurrect sims (shown in the trailer).
There are also nectar racks where sims can age bottled nectar.
Two new social events: Ranch Gathering and Ranch Animal Day.
Horses:
Can be customized through CAS like cats and dogs.
Horses can also be obtained by rescuing, breeding, or purchasing them.
Each horse has its own personality.
Foals can be born. They are combination of both parents and may even unlock a unique trait.
Horses have four skills:
Temperament
Agility - Developed by practicing on Horse Barrels.
Jumping - Developed by practicing on Horse Jumps.
Endurance
Competitions take place at the Equestrian Center, where your sim could win Simoleons, plagues for walls, and metal signs for Ranch Signs. The competitions culminate in the Ultimate Horse Championship.
Adding horses posed many challenges as it is a new species.
Horse traits (detailed somewhere in the discussion) and an ability to create foals in CAS. Then again, it shows footage early in development, so more info in the livestream.
Banking animations were added so they maintain the natural graceful look when running around tight corners.
Human actors were casted to voice horses to incorporate more nuanced emotional performances.
Foals stumble a lot.
New riding skill. Sims beginning will look a little awkward on a horse.
Children can ride horses.
Sims can talk to other sims while riding a horse.
A good relationship with horses helps with training. They went with the approach of "bonding with horses".
I think I spotted the secret cavern(s) mentioned in the official blog post....

It's like playing the Sims version of a hidden object game.
It looks like there are four different types of competitions, plus the Grand Championship. It'll be recorded in the horse's bio.
I took a closer look at horses' Sim Profile concept. I like what I see, seeing as they aren't controllable in the final product (in one live mode gameplay footage, you can see that whistle icon on the horse icon in Sim Chooser, the same one cats and dogs have), and I hope they add the same things to cats and dogs.
First there's aging bar for the horses. That would also be great for cats and dogs! You can also access family tree from there.
Then there are traits (which is already in game). What I see for horses is that they have a breedable trait (which I guess gets passed down from parent to foal) and special trait (which could simply be reward traits).
Then there are skills, which I guess stays as horse-exclusive info. I'm guessing learned behaviors and tricks could be there for cats and dogs.
Relationship panel for the horse. That is interesting thing to see.
And finally, there's accolades.
I do hope cats and dogs get an updated sim info panel too...

Adding a comment that I think a new (not confirmed officially that I’ve seen) that a new music type will come with this pack. Reason I believe this is the BB leak of the items it shows a wall speaker, like the other ones we have, that are usually dedicated to one music type each for community lots. Since it’s a new one, makes me think new music. Also fits with the new dance part.
I'll try to get as much info as I can, see what others share, and then make an organized summary of livestream info.
@Horrorgirl6 What would you think about including these organized info posts in the main post? I think it could save people time from looking for them through threads, especially when these threads get a lot of posts.

Can you tell me how to do this?
Yes...
When you are on the first page in your discussion, you can see the options wheel through which you can edit the post.
Here's an example from one of my discussions:
You can go ahead and before edit, quote posts, copy/cut the text from the new comment window, and then paste it to the edit. Here's another example from me:
I hope this helps.
Tip. I'd also suggest using spoilers thing you can choose under formating options. It also helps to save room.

Everything I've gathered from the livestream (unorganized):
Some details in the livestream won't be in the final product.
CAS
Many breeds, with the breed showing up in the trait panel like with cats and dogs.
11 traits.
Aggressive horses are meaner and could cause sims to fear horses.
Foals can be made in CAS. Horses have three life stages: foal, adult, and elder.
Foals born in-game can have special traits.
Similar customization options like with cats and dogs.
Accessories: Hats, tail accessories, saddles, leg warmers etc. There are two outfits: Everyday (when not riding) and Riding (when sims mounts them).
Outfits for sims can have clean and dirty look.
Wild rag: a new accessory found under necklaces, but tall enough to cover low collars, so it could be thrown together with many different outfits from different packs.
Native American hairstyles go into the base game for free.
Traits get reorganized.
New traits: Rancher and Horse Lover. Two new aspirations: Championship Rider (Fitness) and Expert Nectar Maker (Food).
World
Three neighborhoods, 13 lots.
Weather there will be arid.
Gameplay
Horses can be hand fed with fruits.
How's it going to check on horses.
Multiple ride interactions: walk, trot, and one your sim has enough skill, they can canter.
Horse riding can be one of likes/dislikes.
Community board can be used to plan a ranch event, find out about competitions, go on horse training, hiring ranch hand etc. More once I rewatch the livestream.
Prairie grass is something that can be searched from and can be harvested by hand to collect hay to be hand fed or put in the feeder. Horses can also graze there. It will grow everywhere.
A new lot challenge which makes the wild grass spread on its own.
Stalls: these can be assigned to horses, come in different forms and colors.
Ranch hand can be also hired through the phone. They can take care of animals, plants, repair things, and clean ranches.
Horse poop has different qualities (which depends on how well is the horse taken care of). Better quality poop is better fertilizer and sells for more money.
Some new recipes.
The housewarming gift is a classic cowboy food (already forgot the name).
New bed roll, like sleeping bags from Growing Together.
Horses can get spooked by lightning.
New party bush.
Equestrian centre allows sims to participate and spectate competitions, buy, rescue, and sell horses.
Painted ceilings come from the free base game update.
New dance: cowpoke dance.
General store sells Mini Goats and Mini Sheep, but you can also buy them from the board, phone, and computer. These come in many colors. These appear in the inventory and then have to be placed in the world. They can roam all over the lot.
Mini Sheep will give Simoleons upon shearing them. With Cottage Living, you can also get wool from sheep and milk from goats.
Mini sheeps and goats help in the garden by eating weeds and bugs.
Sims can count sheep to fall asleep.
Nectar making: you first need to choose a recipe. So not like before where you just needed to put some fruit in and see what comes from it.
Occult sims have special nectar they can make.
Nectar storage is stackable, so it can be put on top of each other.
Aged nectar sells for more, but opening a bottle will have the nectar last for some days.
Sims can drink nectar straight from bottle, which can cause a special sentiment to pop up with Foodie sims.
Another sentiment on seeing a loved one picking up horse poop.
Build mode
Ranch sign: a customizable sign. You can put many things on it, plus the Riding skill unlocks more signs. It seems like ranch sign can also be named.
Free cam mode in build mode comes to the base games through patch. Plus there are two extra buttons to paint ceilings in the floor tile menu.
Some doors allow sim to go through it while riding a horse.
This is my first viewing, typing it out had me miss some details. I'll have to rewatch it.
Do share some details you found too. I'll put together a more detailed overview eventually.
They also mentioned an outhouse while riding the trails, but it wasn't clear to me whether it was debug only or not.
I noticed that the walls have to be medium or tall to install barn doors, which means your house walls have to be the same height. Can't have a little house with short walls along with a medium or tall barn.
Can't control horses directly (like cats and dogs).
Household size is still 8.
ETA: Some new swatches will be added to bg floor/ceiling tiles.
