I just aged up a teen in my 1997 save on the 14 day calendar. Graduation pop up appears but nothing is scheduled on the calendar. I will try it on my new test save with the 14 day calendar.

    Here are my findings:

Graduation test save: I get the graduation pop up, Graduation event appears on all calendar lengths at 6pm the following Sunday.

My current save (1997) I get the graduation pop up after the teens age up but no graduation event is scheduled on any of the calendar lengths.

Trying to decide, should I start with a married couple right off the bat or make two sims who live together and have them become a couple as I play them. Decisions decisions.

Been doing the family fortune scenario. Unfortunately the family tree is broken although the sim’s profiles seem to generally be correct with relationship status. I believe that this is a known bug that has already been reported.

So let me make sure I'm all caught up:
    -You've removed mods, cleared cache
-Tested in another save, and it works?
-Has your test sim actually gone to graduation?

If all of this is yes, I would think it's a problem with the save itself. I'm not expert at all, mind you. You may want to go to AHQ and see if there is already a thread. If not, you may need to make one.

Well took me about 3 hours to recreate my Supernatural Girls band from Sims 3 in Sims 4.

    Mo6nzjY.png

from left to right: Karmen (spellcaster), Question (Karmen's cat familiar), Addison (vampire), Elizabeth (or Libby) (werewolf) and Justina (mermaid). Justina was a fairy in Sims 3 but we don't have the fairy occult in Sims 4 (big sad). We also don't have drums so I don't know what Libby's instrument is supposed to be.

The above is correct. I took out MCCC and Carls Dine Out Mod just now and tried again in my 1997 save. Graduation pops up but no graduation event is scheduled for the following Sunday.

@Brd709 Did you clear the localthumbcache.package after you removed those mods? This is essential, as the bits and pieces of the mods are held by that package and can still interfere, at least that's my understanding of how it works.

If it's not giving you graduation in a specific save, without mods, and you've done everything else it's probably a bug. Head over to AHQ and search for your issue.

It’s interesting to substitute the word “friend” for “sim” when talking about your sims; i.e. “I trapped my friend in a swimming pool.”

How did you manage when they can just climb out at the side of the pool?

I never have, but I’ve read about other people who have.

So just out of curiosity - two things

Are you guys using the forums on your phone or on a computer?

I'm on a stationary computer in a separate room because when my partner comes back home I don't want to be distracted. I try to focus on together time because he does work a lot. Also my chair isn't super comfortable to sit in for long periods of time, so it encourages me to get up and move about, it helps me to get my steps in.

Also - do you play the sims on a pc or on a console?

I play on a PC. For the same reason lol.

I play on a laptop, but I usually visit the forum on my iPad. Often while pacing around my house, like now, to get my steps in. 🙂

My only desktop computer is so old it runs Windows XP and has The Sims 1 installed on it. 😄 I’ve had it for about twenty years! It’s an eMachines computer. 😆

I removed the localthumbcache.package and tried again with no mods in my 1997 save and high school graduation still doesn't occur. I have posted in the big thread on AHQ about the issue.

I hope this gets looked in to. I liked seeing the other teens aging up at graduation.

Until it gets fixed, try aging down your young adult to a teen and moving them all to a new save. That way you can play. Hold onto that save in case you're asked for a save on AHQ.

As much as id like to do that, i've been playing this save since 2021 and saving a new save at the start of each new sim year. That would mean saving all my sim self's children, grandchildren, great grand children and re-connecting them on the family tree and that's a lot of grandchildren and great-grandchildren between ten children!

Ouch! Yeah, I wouldn't want to go through all that. You could always just continue playing and see if the next generation of teens get to graduate. Or like GalacticGal said in a previous comment, have them graduate early.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I think I'm going to do the scenarios in Sims 4. I've never done them but they look fun though.
Try and see how many I can complete.

I've done Stuck in Their Shadow and Alien Dyole My Parents. They were pretty good but I preferred the story of Stuck in Their Shadow. I failed Alien Stole My Parents.

Have you tried "reset Sim"? First thing I think of. (Also lol at this post out of context)

Anyone know where the option to comfort/cheer up a sad Sim is in the interactions menu? I searched all of the categories and can't find anything.

I think I usually find it under friendly - affection.

I have re-created the bar from 'Cheers' but I was wondering, can i designate the floors so Sims only eat upstairs and not use the tables in the bar downstairs to eat? In the show, you never saw people from Melville's eating downstairs in the bar.

I'm unsure about designating, but do you have Get Famous? If so, there is a yellow tape under fences that you could use to block the stairs. You would have to remove it and replace it constantly, though. Maybe upon second thought, not such a good idea … :open_mouth:
