Woah! :open_mouth: Lots of activity since I last posted! I LOVE it! Keep them coming everyone!

Is the pollen outside driving anyone else nuts right now!? :confounded: I swear we pay such a price for all this beauty in Arkansas! :p

    @bklienheart
emorrill Yeah, she is still playing. And complaining when the game hangs and she forgot to save. Again.
^Lol! She'll get the hang of it eventually. ;) You can tell her that I said it's worth it.

@Karritz I think I remember Cinderellimouse too...Do they still have a link to their cc? Do you know? :)

    @GraceyManor
I love the song drops of Jupiter. You had me singing that all day. XD
^Hee hee. Well I do aim to please.;) 1990's - 2000's music was da bomb! :p
I haven't played Sims Medieval yet to agree with you on that comment, but man I sure need to!
I think you were the one that directed me to the woodcutting mod back in the day. ;)
    ----
Hee hee, I love that kitty cat dress.
Sounds like Stephanie is beginning to reciprocate Hunter's feelings for her. :smirk:
Ok, this picture is hot.
    Screenshot-36.jpg
    Once again, great writing. :star:

    @thuggishsplicer
I love the Greenwoods too, but poor Emerald gives birth to some weird sims.
^Wow, Really? Hmm, guess I wasn't able to find that out in my Holland Family story since Tristan and Emerald haven't had any kids. (And I don't think they are planning to. Ever. So I guess that's good. :joy: ) Good to know. 👍🏻
LOVE the remodeling you did with the Greenwood's house! :star: Especially that rosy pink bathroom. <3 And now that you mention it, yeah, there ARE lots of ugly green bathrooms in the Sims! I think that color was trendy in the 70's...when I'm sure most of the devs at the time were born in! :p
Nice humble abode you replaced Juan's burned down home with. :)

@ddsims3world You're welcome. And thanks for the compliments on my posts. :)

    @Turjan
Yeah, there are still quite a few among the EA worlds that I never really played.
^I totally get it. Pleeeease tell me you've played in Hidden Springs though? ;) If there's any Store world I recommend, it's that one. Next to Monte Vista. :)
Look at you perfecting the Pidgin Roost!:star: I always thought the trampoline room was extremely odd too... But I LOVE the idea of turning it into a greenhouse! Win!
Lol! You crack me up with your dialogue. Awesome job on it all!
Hmm, our magnolia trees haven't started blooming over here yet. ;)
    ibhDx4Q.jpg
^LOL to this image! I scrolled and had to do a double take because I thought he was nekkid! :joy:
Yikes! That is one overgrown pool! :grimace: Not one I would dare swim in...
Lol, how does a sim argue with vegetables?

@stickykisses When I get the chance to try the world out, I will for sure tag you in the the post.

This is all I have time for to make comments on. Gotta get ready for work. Sigh. :p

Happy Simming everyone! Again, I love how active the thread has gotten again. <3

Hunter and Stephanie were out on the water windsurfing, both of them enjoying the thrill of the wind and waves. As they raced back towards the mainland, Hunter shouted over to Stephanie, "If I beat you back, you have to go on an official date with me!"

    Screenshot-18.jpg
Stephanie laughed, knowing that Hunter was probably the best windsurfer she had ever seen, but she still gave it her all. They were neck and neck as they approached the shore, both of them giving it their all. In the end, Hunter just barely beat her to the shore, and he raised his arms in victory. "Looks like I win!"

    Screenshot-23.jpg
After a thrilling day of windsurfing, Hunter and Stephanie decided to stop by the local summer festival to enjoy the festivities. They strolled hand in hand, sampling various foods and drinks, and taking in the sights and sounds of the festival. The air was filled with the sweet aroma of funnel cakes and cotton candy, and the sounds of live music could be heard in the distance. And both decided to try their hand at rollerskating.
"You better catch me if I fall." Stephanie said trying to hold her balance.

    Screenshot-24.jpg
"Did you catch me when I fell?" Hunter asked grinning. "You didn't fall." Stephanie responded, confused as she hadn't
seem him fall down yet. Hunter just sighed. "Believe me I have."

    Screenshot-36.jpg
Stephanie stepped outside of their vacation home, the cool breeze rustling through her hair as she walked down the steps. She was dressed in a stunning red dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. The dress was elegant and stylish, showing off just enough skin to be alluring without being too revealing. She felt a little self-conscious in the dress, but she knew that Hunter would appreciate her effort. As she made her way down the walkway, she caught Hunter's eye, and she could see the admiration in his gaze. She felt a little more confident, and she smiled as she walked towards him.

    Screenshot-37.jpg
As Hunter sees Stephanie step outside in her red club dress, his jaw drops and he can't help but stare in awe. He had never seen her look so stunning before. "Wow," he says, "you look absolutely breathtaking." Hunter feels a wave of excitement and anticipation wash over him, wondering where the night will take them.

    Screenshot-39.jpg
As the music starts playing, Hunter takes Stephanie's hand and leads her to the dance floor. As they start swaying to the rhythm of the song, Stephanie feels a surge of emotion she can't explain. Hunter holds her close, his hand on her waist and she feels so safe and secure in his arms. As they dance, they both feel a connection that is hard to ignore. The rest of the world fades away, and all that matters is the two of them, lost in the moment.

    Screenshot-45.jpg
Hunter and Stephanie are standing outside their beach house when Hunter takes a deep breath and confesses to her. He tells her that he's been attracted to her since the day she moved into the house he rented her. He says that spending time with her on vacation has only made his feelings for her grow stronger. Stephanie looks at him, feeling surprised but also flattered.

    Screenshot-46.jpg
"I can't hold it back anymore." He says, no longer able to resist the urge.
"Hold what back?" Stephanie asked. "This."

    Screenshot-47.jpg
Evelyn looks up at him, feeling her heart swell with emotion, and they share a passionate kiss.

@emorrill @Cinderellimouse Sims 3 content is difficult to find. If you search for Sims in the Woods you might find some of it.

I started playing what was to be the update/chapter about Madunishas birthday I think what is 10 days ago now, and was set to play the second half and finish it shortly, but then I lost interest. I haven't really played since then. I looked at the screenshots again yesterday, but since I haven't written anything down I'm starting to forget what happened and all I saw was a bunch of random images. I'm just not feeling it.

I didn't realize that Macy Clay could be related to Harwood! :-0. I often make Harwood gay.
That still works if the two women are his sisters. Also, that doesn't mean he wasn't married, especially in the time periods the game seems to be depicting.
I have decided to scrap all my 2019 Twinbrook family and play the founders again. I'll get inspiration from the "Not so berry sims challenge". The stories will match my gameplay well.
Heh, that happens. Though I feel the itch, I won't start yet another Twinbrook game. I already have a few of those, one of them with the Bayless family.
    I still don't know where I can build a dance club. :-(
I added a lot opposite from the stadium for that purpose.
    H9uq4bS.jpg
This area just up the road from the stadium also works well.
    eg4e0xN.jpg
Anyway, looks as if you were off to a good start  .

No to both of them. Hidden Springs reminds me somewhat of the Alps with its chalet-type buildings, and I currently live on the last sigh of that mountain range. Monte Vista was something I considered a bit more, but haven't got to yet.

Being nekkid would be an improvement - except for forum rules compliance, of course  . He's clearly wearing skin, but obviously not his own, which is the really creepy part of this bug.

It's from a really grimy "future" world, an island where the whole underground is hollowed out and stuck with factory complexes. You should rather worry what's underneath the grids at the bottom  .

It's from ITF. In order to give your plumbots a function, you need trait chips. Some of these trait chips simulate emotions. If you also build these kinds of trait chips yourself, you need crystals that are charged with emotions. The crystals grow on crystal plants, but your sim has to charge them while gardening. The emotions are kindness, laughter, love, or rage, and you have interactions for each of them. It's kind of neat, but I usually wait for those trait chips to come up in the rotation of the robotics consignment store.
Lucas in that Cronor game was in the bot builder career during the time the sims were prohibited from using their original jobs (story-related), and that's where the plants come from. The house they live in has the name "bot-builder's den", by the way.
    ____________________________________________________
@Sprottenham I guess that happens to everyone of us  . Sometimes, you just need a break. And after the break, you will see whether you still want to go on with the original or start something new. I have taken breaks that lasted six years from some game playthroughs and picked up where I left  .

    Benjamin <3 is very handsome!
I hate when thinks keep uninstalling in the game.
    But your greenhouse looks great!
Thanks, Gracey! I'm really loving the romance between Hunter and Stephanie. ;) They are so cute!
Same. Thankfully, I've only had it happen once. It was after I installed the Story progression mod and register mod. After the long and painful process or uninstalling the sims 3 and reinstalling it all back, I only put in the story progression mod this time and things seem to be working pretty good. Hoping I didn't just jinx it. :D Not sure if the register mod was what caused the issue or if it were something else, but I'm not taking any chances.
THANKS! I had to rebuild the greenhouse after the whole sims 3 uninstalling stuff fiasco, but honestly I think it looks a million times better this time. I made some slight differences. I was looking back at the pages on here to see if I shared a picture of the new greenhouse, but it doesn't seem I have, so I will have to remember to take a picture of it and share it next time I get on. I've been crazy busy with school and life, so I haven't played much sims lately. X3

@Cororon Your sim look absolutely gorgeous. I love her hair! Looking forward to seeing more updates in the near/far future.
ButterWafflesAR, Very nice looking update! I wish that I would like to try World Adventure, although I don't like to deal with all the bad glitches I had been reading.
Thanks so much, ddsims3world! That's understandable. I feel the same about the future. I haven't had any issues with going on an adventure, so far; fingers crossed it stays that way, but twice I've run into problems with going to the future. So I'm a little weary about sending any of my sims there, now. :D

@Turjan Yeah, I know, I have even said pretty much what you just said to others before. It's not really about needing a break for me, though. I will focus more on putting the blog up to date (that I started september of last year...).

I posted a 'new' old chapter just recently. The chapter that first introduced the Reppe family (Inge Reppe etc. from before she went to university with her boyfriend...). As it is old, graphics settings are less than what they are now, but the concept is still the same, and birthdays were as important back then as they are now...

Link to blog is in signature. I don't want to come in here and mention it everytime I update the blog, because I don't like to advertise myself to much and it's going to feel like spam, so whoever is interested will have to follow and pay attention themselves!
Also, you won't land immediately on the chapters when following the link. Since I ended up playing rotationally between towns the link goes to what will be the hub that can take you to the different towns. So far there is only one option, because in the beginning there was only Sunset Valley... more will be added as I move along.

That's also the reason why I started the blog, to have things a little more organized, because I started to feel it got to messy here jumping between different towns and essentially different, though linked, story lines in the same thread... So with time, one will even have the option to follow only one town and ignore the others if one should wish to do so.

..and since it's me the story may not shy away from going a little bit into some 'darker' areas of life, because.. well, that's life... we all go through something bad on occasion, or have thoughts we do not talk about with our colleagues at work...... and a story about life wouldn't be believable (to me...) if it didn't include something unpleasant every now and then... I have no set target audience, I just do what I feel like, but because of this it might not be suitable for the very youngest ones of course. (My target audience is me!)
If I were to assign age ratings to it, posts might vary from being suitable to 'Everyone' to 'Teenagers' and older. I'm not really into writing what I think of as 'Mature' content or content with lots of gore and violence... (unless somehow it would feel natural, but I won't strive or push for it... a.k.a not very likely.)

Also, writing will be sloppy on occasion a lot of the time. Don't expect great writing...

Maybe I should make some banner to add to the bottom of the post as a signature to make it more visible. Maybe later.

@ddsims3world I used to play WA all the time. Not sure how you feel about mods but Nraas Industries has one called Traveler which pretty much fixes all the problems, I personally have never experienced any issues with this particular ep but ymmv and of course my condolences to anyone who did. Maybe you already know this? The trick is to empty the mailbox, personal inventory, and family inventory of anyone traveling before they run off to the airport, and then of course before calling the taxi, save your game with a new name and don't overwrite that one until you return safely. Also, apparently, never accept the offer of a free vacation. And if you do wind up with a missing sim, then Nraas Master Control can put him back in the game. Apologies if I'm just repeating what you already know.

@Karritz !! now I finally understand what all those pictures in your sig mean! yes, my sims are totally interested in learning how to run a business, thank you :D And I seriously love watching people's stories that they made into a video, that is truly a labor of love and I can't wait to watch!

oh hai @Turjan :P the Knack house was one of my favorites too! It was already so large and kind of wacky, so I'd make it even bigger and wackier lol Thanks for the pictures "arguing with vegetables".... that is unforgettably hilarious!!

aw @GraceyManor , how sweet! what a beautiful story!

Regarding "stories" in Twinbrook, it's as usual: you have to piece a few things together from details that seemingly don't make sense at first glance. I've seen simmers claim that Maxis just made an error when assigning lifetime wishes to Pattina and Julienne, but if you combine it with that basement kitchen/office and the party barn, it starts making sense. At least it's less guess work than with Juan's ex-wife or sister he interred on his own private "no visitors allowed" junkyard and who died in a fire, or her twin sister, who happened to have the same last name as his best friend and is interred behind the laundromat. Of course, nobody would speak of such mysteries if everything was spelled out.

That is seriously interesting, thank you very much. I usually just plop my favorite sims from other ep's into Twinbrook and never noticed any of that at all. Any other tidbits you ever feel like dropping, please do!!

Hope everyone is well, staying safe and having fun.

@stickykisses I hope you enjoy watching. I'm currently working on Generation 2 of The Perfect Genetics Challenge. When the little heir ages up to Young Adult I'll go back to one of my other series. I used to rotate between all of my various series but found it was taking a long time for me to do that. I used to try to do a video each week, but now it's more like once a month. I just do them when I can get to them.

Currently I'm torn between Oscar's Teen Years and Caroline and Friends at University for when I get to the end of Generation 2 of The Perfect Genetics Challenge.

I've also been thinking about trying a live stream of playing Part 3 of The Isla Paradiso Bunch which isn't started yet. I've completed Parts 1 and 2 of that series. But people enjoy the characters and they are lots of fun and unique.

I've gradually become fascinated with the Imaginary Friends and now make sure each baby gets one when it is born. Then when they age up to child they make their IF doll real and I have lots of fun giving them huge makeovers. This results in very overstuffed households. Then when they age up to Young Adult I move them out, often a different world and they can visit or be visited occasionally.

Yeah, but if you look closely, he's fully clothed. You can see the seams. Only his head and his hands are sticking out of his suit, and even the feet wear socks. The game just chose the wrong texture.
I love greenhouses, so I'm looking forward to a pic of yours  .

Twinbrook is really good for such stuff. Why do the Rackets (the local crime syndicate) have the urn of Sofia Carlton's mother (?) in their office? There are other deceased in the museum or private residences. One of the latter is Fly Bayless, whose urn is kept in the shack of a local swamp-dwelling family of this name. He obviously looks like he was Skeet's or Gwayne's father or grandpa, or that of both. As Gwayne's personal description puts it "The family lineage is a bit murky, and anyone who has ever tried to track it down has only been led in circles."

@Turjan Oh dear, the Orange Martial Arts Bug! Do you know what causes it other than MA activities?
You know, your question made me get off my lazy butt and look for an answer. The bug isn't limited to martial arts clothing. The skin texture is sometimes taken by the game as replacement if it doesn't find the original texture of the outfit, because the player either didn't put in in the right place or deleted it. I know I have a few outfits where I merged the patterns into my big merge files because I forgot to take the patterns out beforehand, which results in that pattern randomly displaying correctly, sporting the black "missing texture" or said skin texture.

Of course, the martial arts outfits don't fit that explanation, as they come with Ambitions, which is part of the standard game installation. Then I remembered that the hair is usually seen as part of the outfit (as you know, you can define a different hair style for every outfit), and the missing hair is obvious in the skin suit picture. Jose had originally worn some custom hair, which was lost when I started to "clean" my cc folder and stopped after deleting nearly all of it. That cc hair must have been made part of the martial arts outfit when he learned the skill. I hoped it would just fix itself when he levels up, It didn't work on the first level up, but the second one did the trick. When he got to oak boards, he finally looked normal.
    SpsU4o1.jpg
As I was cultivating my inner slave driver, Jose went on until it was the dark of the night and he had finally reached the top of the skill, while producing gems on the side.
    8AdPUsw.jpg
Looks as if he already had the next target on his mind  .
Anyway, loved your simself/family pictures from the day at the festival. Mycket bra, as always!

    See you all later.

@emorrill I've noticed that when EA tries to give children unique features, they make weird-looking adults. Starlight Shores is a great example, the kids and teens there are horrible. Emerald nose is too big in her children, specially the boys.

@Turjan I think I read something about Macy being Harwood ex-wife or sister. It's all up to the player.

I rarely add lots to the worlds and I tend to work with what I have. I want to build a roadside bar at Ancient Modernity lot. However, since I'm not sure about the shell of said bar, I added the Late Night dance club:

    @ButterWafflesAR Thanks! <3

    -- x -- x --

Last Tuesday I played a lot, three sim-days in a row, and then, when I ran my game again I was welcomed with a weird bug:

52828699402_cd9fef6202_c.jpgCaptura de Tela (671) by Marcos Da Silva, no Flickr

At first, I made a factory reset. The game worked, but when I copied my stuff back, it would act like that. I started removing folders, like, mods... saves... and, as weird as it my sound, it was the saves from that long gameplay that were corrupt. I had to delete them and go back a little.

Juliette and Robert's life is a little too calm. They're focused on their careers. They're pretty addicted to karaoke.

I have to remember to remove that horrible tattoo I gave Robert in another gameplay.

Their first house got infested with bugs. I decided to give the dog for adoption because it was too much work for a couple that needs to focus on skills before having babies. For this gameplay, I want two girls.

And well, I built them a new house. As you can see, it's based on a starter home in Riverview:
