I played around with the infants in a test save but only for an hour or so 😁. I thought they seem really cute and fun. Now no more sims until the weekend when I have time to play, although maybe I will peek at the expansion when it is here.
This isn't really a full update. I just wanted to report, there is now ten sim-hours before the wedding of the century. Yes, fans, the World's most eligible bachelor is soon to be officially off of the market.
Oh that’s big news. Were they married in the older saves? Or first time he gets married?
Yes, he was married with children, in the save I was playing when we first got the news Infants were coming. I turned aging off, so that there wouldn't be a huge gap between his kids. I did the backup in a hurry, (with that tiny patch, as it turned out to be on the 28th) and then managed to 'lose' it. It went nowhere. So, I restarted. Happily, at some point I had saved Erik and his parents and siblings. I was able to download that version of him. He was already a Global Superstar at that point, so all I had to do was have him grind at writing songs. I messed that save up, by getting to the 'finish' line faster than I meant to. Plus, I thought he'd written a song, only it was nowhere, too. (I see a pattern here.) So, since this was at the top of February I restarted again. Things went very well, and I found a way to allow him to receive his Tile again. Once I knew this was the keeper save, I've been playing it ever since. This time around he wasn't engaged to Kayleigh yet. He popped the question on her birthday, Thursday of their final term in Uni.
Rose autonomously tried for a baby again and is now pregnant with quaduplets (3 boys and one girl). I really need to get started with building her a house, as she is currently living in a repurposed shed way to small for 5 sims (why is it always multiples when I have no space for them?). No, I am not updating to infants anytime soon, toddlers are already scary enough.
Today, I repeated the Rehearsal Dinner and then the Wedding. This time both Events went much smoother. (I did a game repair before I started.) I discovered that MCCC had a hotfix, so I exchanged the first hotfix (2023.1.0) for the second one (2023. 1.2). I learned Road to Fame was given the all-clear to use, and SNB and SNB-Bills are good to go. So, I put them into the Mods folder and opted to test with the original save (no worries I made a copy of this same save). I also decided to return the Khitsule Pointed Ears mod (cc). I started with this cc and neither of the pointed ear cc I had was working. Yet, when I added it back, Sarek very kindly showed up at the Spa the bride and her Maid of Honor were visiting. His ears were pleasantly pointed. YAY. I had to fool around with the mods. Managed to install part of MCCC incorrectly. At one point I didn't have matching versions. (I know better, too.) But, once I got that all sorted out and I placed the script mods for SNB and SNB_BILLS, those worked, too. And then I managed to play the game. Just now calling it quits for the evening.
I'm very happy to say, that Mr. & Mrs. Erik James Cantrell will be honeymooning on the Island of Sulani for the new few days …
A neighbour's kid she had never met before showed up at Rose's door at 11 PM. Poor thing - three parents and yet none to put you to bed in time (his bio dad hates children, mom is busy with her flower arrangements and stepdad is probably busy at someone else's bed)

I created a vanilla save just to get a peek at infants and the gameplay before the pack comes out. So adorable!! Currently traveling for work and the wifi here is terrible (took my game over an hour to update…I napped while waiting lol) so I didn’t want to bother with mods. Thankfully I’ll be home tomorrow for the pack release.
A favorite sim of mine, Maia, got engaged to Gavin Richards and they had a little boy named Jordan. He’s the cutest! I’ll return to my main save tomorrow if my mods and cc are okay. If not, I don’t mind play with Jordan for a few days.

That's very interesting. In Sims2, the parents would come collect their visiting child early in the evening. I think it was by 6PM, but it's been a very long time, so I'm not really certain of the time. I can't imagine a child showing up at somebody's door at 11PM. Yikes. Call Social Services.
While sleepy simming, I “broke” my save…and the forums 😂 As for my save, I wanted to combine my favorite households into my 2023 base save, so I saved the house and the household, did a save as and plopped their house and then the family into San Sequoia. Then I remembered that they would lose their personal inventory and university degrees would no longer be attributed to the sim that earned it. Sims disappeared from graduation photos, birth certificates and baby prints vanished and the married couple had decreased friendship and romance bars. Then their son got stuck on the sidewalk. So, I scrapped that save and decided that some of my favorite sims will just have to restart life as college students and others will be reintroduced later. No big deal. There were a few things I wanted to redo anyways.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I truly hate when that happens. I'm also a sleep-deprived individual. I have learned to not play my game when I'm just too tired for words. I hope you can recall how to post pictures, and as for losing your save, you sound as if that will only be a benefit. Good on you. I hope the new save works out better.
As I am behind with updates, I only now ran into cc beds breaking that happened last summer. Rose is a loner and happy at home with her llamas and rabbits, so several in-game weeks went by before I tried to make her travel and discovered that I was unable to.
My mods folder is a mess when it comes to bb - several copies of same item, broken items, zipped folders that I never got around unzipping and forgot about and so on. Some cleaning is long overdue.
I created an outdoor theater for Granite Falls. I still need to make some minor tweaks and play test it and i'll upload it to the gallery. If anyone is interested my ID is PlumbobXing.
I still haven't decided what to do with my saves yet but it's not a big deal. @GalacticGal thanks for the well wishes.
Now for the update: Niko Benjamin aged up to a toddler today. He gained the top notch infant trait and became an independent toddler. He was a cautious little guy that loved to be held, had frequent hiccups and was a snuggly sleeper. While he's independent now, and a little destructive, Niko loves being carried and loves wake up time. He's a toddler on a mission. He has a supportive family dynamic with his mom, Jade, but he's still trying to figure out his dynamic with his dad, Brandon (the game tried to give me a strict dynamic and I said absolutely not) Here's an infant pic because he was so adorable. Aradia and Mirai got married (I bought the Wedding Stories pack on sale after seeing some indications of bugs being mostly fixed).

Wedding guests start to hit the dance floor.
And I didn't get a good screenshot, but Grim rather hilariously (and adorably) was the most emotional attendee at the entire wedding (cheering, clapping, tears of joy). I just managed to get him at the tail end of a tissue moment.

I love that pack, although I've yet to hold one single wedding that went off as planned … I didn't write about everything that happened in my latest wedding, but I will share that somebody stole, or ate, the entire four-tiered wedding cake while the wedding was ongoing. Happily, since I had this do-over in my original save to get it up to speed, as it were, I had the groom purchase two such cakes. Again, the first one placed was nowhere. Happily, nobody took the second one from the table. Phew.
I fixed my game! It only took two days and deleting 2 GB's of broken/ no longer wanted cc to get there.
As a test, I had Alexander Goth travel to graveyard to visit his dead niece/grandmother (depending of who to ask) Lucille, since he had a wish to mourn someone. She appeared wearing only her underwear with no bra on - just what had she been up to in the underworld before being summoned? - and went off to haunt the pipe organ before he could tell her to please put something on. Poor Alexander already has confusing feelings about his mother, he doesn't need any more of that. Overall, all's right in the world again.

I have been adding back my cc stuff one thing at a time. So far, mostly so good. I wish you happy hunting.
Was using the Pancake household to test out some gameplay with the new pack. Maple (teen) had a somewhat friend ask if she could stay over for a few days and I said yes (found out it was an adult. PFFT). Figured I let her stay the whole week for the stay over and have her help out, which was a bad idea considering the fire she started.
Had her decide to relax for a few days since she seemed tensed for awhile. Last day rolls around and it's about time for her to leave, ethus let her help out a bit since things got pretty hectic, especially since Bob suffered from burn out and started a fire AGAIN while it was just him at home and she died.
You had less than a few hours to GO.
Oddly enough Bob didn't seem bothered by it, since he didn't know her personally. Grim decided to go look at the sports channel for awhile before he bounced. Maple got the fear of death in turn with that happening which is finally appropriate for these fears popping up.

I guess since Cassandra Goth is getting close to one of my own Sims, I thought I should probably get to know the family, and I found out dad died and they had a baby, and now he's an infant. He's called Brock. There were only two babies in any of my towns so I'm seeing what infants are like with this family. I'm still exploring what's what, and I bought the new pack too which I've done a little with but also need to explore.
Anyway, here's Brock. He's cute.
And they had a helper lady person come and stay... she's kipping on the sofa, it seems.
Alexander went out with a friend after school.
The other baby belongs to Clint, who I decided to rename Noel and give a younger hairstyle to. The baby's called Keisha, she's a little girl and he's a very doting single dad.
