Origin is being replaced by the new EA app. All of your games should all still be on the new app.

That's not entirely true unfortunately. Based on everything I have read, Create A World does not work with the new EA App, so if you like creating your own maps for the Sims 3, you might want to avoid updating until EA fixes that. I have heard that some people can still open it, but Edit in Game doesn't work for them, so that is a serious problem

You can't play your game if you're not connected to the server.
That's not correct, when the App can't connect to the server, you can play your game offline. That happend to me some days ago. The App told me, it couldn't connect and my game opened nevertheless

Maybe they got confused because Steam players(like me) actually can't play offline

So, from what I've read in the info for the EA App is that it is for numerous consoles, Mac not included. Does this mean that the EA app is not compatible with Mac?
@ReedusRocks38, I'm not sure if that's the reason for it or not or if EA needs to do some extra work on the app for it to be compatible with Mac. Maybe @EA_Cade could answer your question about the app.

I'm so sorry-is what the issue I'm experiencing by chance? Oh, and to be a bit more detailed, this started after my Mac OS updated to Monterey. Could that have anything to do with it?

Okay. Bizarre update: I tried opening Origin one more time and......now it works! I don't know how! It opened and is currently re-downloading Sims 4. What can this be chalked up to......paranormal activity??? :P
