Ah, Agnes Crumplebottom. Everyone's favourite lead handbag wielding battleaxe. The crusader against all things romantic. Many a sim have been attacked by this old bat. And the worst thing is, she's immune to spellcaster shenanigans. She's not immune to other stuff however, like freeze rays:
What have you done to get revenge on Agnes Crumplebottom?
EDIT: Turns out the heinous handbag wielder isn't immune from spellcaster magic after all!
Sims 4 Family: Benjamin, Shine, Princess Roddy, Sophia and Hamish Furystrykar and Shelly Heart. Princess Roddy is my avatar, and he's a boy!
In my game I turned Agnes and Agatha into a played household. It can't be done without having a double set, but I already have plans to explain that Agnes lives on after the played one is dead. Agnes is extremely wealthy after owning 10% (?) of the Landgraab Industries, I figured her stocks must be worth at least §1,000,000.
Re the bag banging - it feels like I live under a rock saying I never saw her swinging that bag in my game. I played in HoB a lot and have 100+ families were of some do romance in public, but no sign of the bag. Could it be because I duplicated the lady...?
Honestly, the last time I saw Agnes, she was attacking one of my Sims who was out on a first date with Marcus Flex. First time I ever saw the handbag-wielding queen herself in action, actually: she often just leaves my Sims alone. But that particular Sim of mine was cheating on her boyfriend on that date, so I kind of just sat there like 'well, you kind of had that coming, Charlene'. Needless to say: I just let Agnes walk away. And believe it or not: I managed to catch this magnificent moment of karma in a screenshot.
Apologies for the plumbob being present, I was just so surprised by Agnes actually showing up that I forgot to use the headline effects cheat. I actually used the in-game memory system for the first time that day, because I definitely wanted my Sim to remember that moment. That poor boyfriend of Charlene's wasn't the first to get his heart broken by her, but let's hope that she learnt her lesson after seeing the business end of that legendary handbag.
I do beg to differ. Agnes isn't against romance, per se, just public displays of such! It's called, "Get a Room!" As for how I handled the few times she's popped up in my game, I just let her do her thing, especially the first time. I was very curious to see how she would behave to compare it with my Sims2 days where I first got acquainted with the old bat as you called her. Very fitting. Aaron, the current Professional Athlete in my game just stood there and 'took' it. Such a gentleman he can be. His next younger brother, however, is a Rock Star. You don't mess with a Rock Star. He managed (autonomously, mind you) to get his hand on her bag to stop the assault. Go, Erik!
Quite frankly, I haven't seen her in game, since. Sadness.
@MelanieScribbles Great shot. Her blows are very hard to capture, they happen so quickly.
I hardly ever see her, unless I'm playing a Henley sim. My sims never go out on dates (long courtship is boring, I just move sims in with eachother, quicker that way), and most of the romancin' goes on in the comfort of our homes.
For unlimited entertainment, introduce her to Temperance. The hilarious mayhem is well worth the trouble of arranging the meeting. (Temperance does NOT frighten her.)
She's not immune to vampire powers either but she just won't die even 48 hours after her hunger is depleted
She does seem to have some level of resistance to spells, but it's not 100%. One of my spellcaster sims managed to hit her with Infatuate and caused her to make out with an elderly gentleman in a park, just to see if she would attack herself with her own handbag. (She did not, but she did attack him immediately afterwards.)
That's an interesting thought, will have to try that. I can think of some creative uses for Alluring Aura and Transcendent Charmer potions, where she's concerned. Rose Perfume might have some funny effects too, that's a serum which scientists can make.
The sim who managed to get the Infatuate spell to work on her is a bit of a magical prankster, and it's right up his alley. He's also been known to turn his high school principal into a bowl of fruit, and created a rivalry between the school custodian and Bonehilda by summoning her during lunchtime.

A bowl of fruit, actually.

Personally, Benjamin Furystrykar prefers the Zipzap, Strangeify, Inferniate combo!
Then comes the Strangeify:
And now the finale, Inferniate! That's not how you do a fire dance, Agnes!
This is why I love spellcasters. Spectral Reach is such an awesome perk!

I was rooting for Greg, and yet, the old bat won. She's Miss Agatha Trunchbull from Matilda in disguise!
