Sims 5 first looks

Saw the video and leaked photos of gameplay. While it looks great for building with the extra tools I'm not enamoured by the graphics, very chunky and reminiscent of Sims 2 and 4 to me. I prefer Sims 3 graphics, I am aware there are better graphics out there and never understood why EA didn't go the Real Engine route. Not sure but it doesn't look like an open world so that would stop me from even starting with that iteration of the franchise which looks to be another long one, many years of it. Why are they doing this? Years and years of one game when graphics and PC systems are getting better and better every year, meaning by the time you get to the end of a Sims game's lifespan it's been dated for a few years already. I'd prefer a game that lasts just 6 years or something so that we could move on to the latest thing with better graphics.

Walking from this now but leaving it for you all to get your bit in. They say they want feedback from the community during development, I can't find a forum for that.

Sharing leaked images of the playtest here is a no go. That playtest was under NDA due to its extremely early (pre-pre-pre-Alpha) development cycle and shouldn't be construed as representative of anything close to the final product.

Why would you direct me to a post that is closed for comments? Like I said, they say on the video they want our input but give us no opportunity to do that.

That's a link to an entire forum section, not just one post. You can comment on any of the open topics or posts.

Please reread my comments. I linked the Rene forum and not any closed thread.
