Im looking for a new expansion, any tips or suggestions?

Hello, I usually play as a family and am not sure I want to separate members and play as one and then switch back to another, but I am open to the possibility. I own Cottage Living, get together, Cats and Dogs, Seasons and City Living... and some packs and stuff. I'm looking for a new expansion that will add a good world, and just good in general. And if it fit my play style, that would be nice as well. High School years, and I think College expansion may not fit me. I just got a girlfriend moved in and am working on skill building for her, I work in the garden and am a musician, she just started as a babysitter. Get to work is on my radar, I could switch to one of those jobs, other than that I don't know. I'm just looking for a good world and am interested to hear what different expansions add to gameplay. I'm also interested in just buying a pack or two instead of an expansion. But I really do want that new world. So, what is a suggestion, and what has a good world to live in and explore. Packs and expansions are on sale now so I'm thinking of buying something. Lastly Get to work, Eco lifestyle and get famous are on my radar, but I've heard get famous has a very small world. Eco Lifestyle I'm not sure of, does it have a world you can live in, and have new lots and sims. Also is there anything offered in that expansion that doesn't require me to stop what I'm doing with my family and go do something else in that expansion and same exact question about get to work. I'm also interested in all packs and etc., if you have any information that can give me insight, I would much appreciate it. thank you for your time. Oh, sorry to make this even longer but it might be wise to mention some of what I own. other than what's mentioned above
-parenthood, toddler stuff, kids' playroom, paranormal, dream home decorator, pet stuff, I can't think of the rest, but a few more.

You may want to check out Carl's Guide. He has detailed info on all the packs and world details.

I wouldn't bother with Get to Work, because the careers don't work anymore, at least for me they don't. One pack that I do still get a lot of uses from is Get Together. Now to the reason, I say this, at first when I first started playing that pack it for the whole party scene, but not anymore. I am one who plays the family setting, mostly normal families. One aspect of the pack is the Club System, which I have used for keeping my sim's extended family connected. I have also used the club system for broken households, to get the parent who does not live at home anymore, to get them to come over with a simple click, and keep them around until I was ready for the parent to go home.

Other packs to keep in mind would be Island Living (very mind winters) and Snowy Escape (a snowy winter wonderland). They would make very good vacation locations, and your sims can even live there if they choose.

If going green is something your sims would like to do, then Eco Lifestyle might be something worth looking into.

Eco Lifestyle come with a big world with three neighbourhoods but not that many lots. Get to work has a tiny world with four lots. Both Eco Lifestyle and Get to work EPs bring new gameplay, but you don't have to stop what your are currently doing in your game, no EP requires you to do that, you can just incorporate the new elements into your gameplay when you think it's appropriate. Like Eco Lifestyle comes with a community garden lot where you can buy and sell produce and do some gardening. You can also work on other crafting skills there.

Carl Sims has some guides if you want to learn more about the different packs.

Wanted to add that you could also do a search here on the forum for a particular world. Usually with the release of a new world we have a detailed thread with info on size, lots, etc.

For instance here's the discussion on Tartosa, the world that came with My Wedding Stories.

Based on what you said, Eco Lifestyle, Island Living or Snowy Escape.

Eco Lifestyle has some good NPC sims but the world is not that interesting, it also comes with some settings that you might want to turn off like neighborhood action plans.

Island Living has a nice looking world but there is not much to do in it. You need to be pretty creative with that one.

Snowy Escape is an alternative too and a lot of people seem to like it but I never really liked that pack.

I'd recommend Island Living, Eco as a second option.

Sulani is beautiful and one of the best worlds. Eco I like some things in there and appreciate that it has apartments, so if you liked that on City Living you're gonna like these ones.
