Early-graduate teen sim can't go to university?

My Sim graduated early and I applied for her to to university, but she hasn't had her acceptance letter and it's been five days. I wanted her to be a teenage student but I'm wondering if can't go until she's a young adult, which defeats the point of graduating as she can't get a proper job either. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sometimes the mail seems to get delayed. Have you checked her admission status on the computer?

The other way you can get her in is to use the mailbox cheat. Right click on the mailbox and select University I think it is. There is a command where you can enroll a Sim to university. I just took three Teens who had graduated early through University, so I know it's possible. Use the cheat. If your Sim earned the Scholarships applied for that will show up upon enrollment.
