What do you want in Sims 5

I would like to see more activities for sims to do like:

    water sports
    water crafts
    tennis
    golf
    casinos
    resorts
    amusement parks
    shopping malls
    cars

and for sims to have more initiative to go out and do things on their own based on their personality and interests. For example, frugal sims won’t go shopping or to a casino on their own, but they may go fishing or to a library. Family sims won’t go to a bar on their own but may go visit family members at their homes or go to an amusement park with them, etc.

I know that some simmers like to control everything their sims do, but I prefer smarter sims.

I hope that all comes too! I am not a micro-manager (never have been) and I like to sit back and observe what my sim will decide to do for the day. In TS4 they all pretty much do the same thing ...... obsess over anything on the lot (easel, bbq grill, basket ball hoop, etc) or they be obsessed with constant phone usage. That irritates the beejeebus out of me!

I loved when my sims in TS3 would just take off and go explore on their own, to visit the community pool or the bar or beach near them without me directing them.

So, having the AI actually function in a non-obsessive manner according to their traits and/or likes and dislikes would be perfect!

We need some robust AI and charm for some surprising sims 🤪

This is what I want. Ai in most games sucks so yea.

At this point, simply a single player version of it. I've enjoyed every (Nearly. I hated Sims Online) iteration of The Sims so far. They've all been unique and special for their own reasons and in their own ways; and, I have every expectation that the team can pull out another great game for the franchise.
Loving yourself is the most simple and complicated thing you can do for you.

I would like to be able to affect the development of a neighborhood's population and ecocomy, by being able to add businesses, roads, and new lots for homes. Maybe any sim that I help move into my neighborhood can pay taxes to me, the player; and I can then use their simoleons to develop the neighborhood by expanding roads and adding new lots, thereby making a neighborhood larger and more developed over time. There can be story scenarios where I help sims find their perfect jobs, start businesses and move into homes that suit their needs.

Maybe there can be both a live household mode where I can easily switch between playing households to manually progress them, and a neighborhood mode where I can watch sims from afar without me playing in a specific household.

Maybe EA could think about using "Saved Games" folder instead of "Documents" like CD Projekt Red and Quantic Dream already do.
By default OneDrive synchronize Desktop, Documents and Images folders.

I’d like a single player game much like the sims 4, and perhaps with slightly more mature graphics. Much the same but a different take on it with different worlds and jobs and themes.

I feel like they should launch the base game very small, maybe a single world or two worlds, but with the following in place.

    3-5 active/semi active jobs.
    Inconsistent Weather
    Cat/Dog
    All life stages
    Apartments

Don’t have tons of stuff or tons of features but make everything high quality, and worth the base game price.

I don’t think this stops them having a jobs pack, or a seasons/holiday pack, or a pets pack. And you’d still need packs to expand the game. But it would avoid the sims 4 situation of most of the jobs now being worthless compared to anything new that comes out, or the expansions being held back by old programming.

I’d also like them to start prioritising the gameplay over culture and politics. Just have it be a video game world with video game characters and not generation Z USA 2022 or whatever they’ve been doing the last few years.

Where to begin ... well, I liked the open play feel of TS3. But I like all the worlds of TS4, except the magic/Dracula stuff. I'd like to go to more diverse places like Japan and France again like in TS3. My biggest pet peeve is the clothing options. I'd like for my sims to go shopping and purchase what they like so our styles can be a bit more diverse. I'm tired of seeing townies walking around in my sims high end ball gowns. They should not have access to CC. They're background noise, for peace's sake! I'd rather my sims have their own wardrobe so I don't have to dig through everything in order to find one pants, shirt, or dress.

I'd also like my sims to have crushes, especially in high school. We need more options other than friend/enemy/in love. I know it's hard to code but relationships are messy. Half my sims should be crushing on the other half. I would love for my sim to get "flushed" when their crush walks into the room. Or clumsy because they can't focus on what they're doing, etc etc.

There needs to be more lifestages. Sorry but adults don't just change to elderly overnight. There is a huge stretch between these two stages in life. Child needs to be fleshed out more as well. Baby and child are the two lifestages I push quickly through. I age them to teen almost immediately, if I'm playing them.

What else ... TS3 was near perfection. It took a while for TS4 to grow on me and it has ... but not like TS3. I'm hoping TS5 brings more to the table. I'm hoping I don't have to wait a few years to want to immerse myself in the game.

The option for male and females to use the same hairstyles and clothing like we have now.

i might be a player that plays with aging fully turn off but i believe that the most important thing is normal size teen sims not teen sims that are close to young adult

I wish they could make sims simmy again.

But that's not gonna happen because sims1 and 2 happened before everything got taken extremely seriously and no rib nudges or sidelong winks were thereafter allowed.

It was made in an innocent era when fun could be funny.

For me visually I want something that feels more like the Sims 3 2.0 rather than the Sims 4 2.0. Some of the Sims 3 ads showed graphics which were 10x better than the actual graphics, so I think something that looks like these ads would be my dream for 5 visually:

The difficulty is that teens being shorter than adults is not normal across the board, in fact it's the exception.

Boys in their early teens are as tall on average as women, but still shorter than men's average height. So even then, they are only shorter than half of adults. The majority of their teen years, they are taller than half of adults on average (women) and as tall as the other half (men).

As for girls, they reach their own adult height by their mid teens, so the only time they are shorter than adult women, is their early teens, Iike 14 and 13. For most of their teens, they are as tall as half of adults (women) but will always be shorter than the other half of adults (men).

Most of the teen years are spent being as tall as half of adults for girls, and for boys, as tall as half, and taller than the other half.

Unfortunately there is no way to please everyone on this, because in addition to the factual differences in average adult heightsand growth rates between sexes, people also habe personal ideas of what part of the teens, is meant by teen, with some thinking primarily of 13 year old, and some thinking primarily of der teens, and one size doesn't not fit all.

One solution could be to add in a lifestage of preteen/young teen, which could represent ages 9 to 13 and be when the first and most life-altering aspects of puberty hit, because that's realistic, and have them shorter than adults, also realistic in most cases.

Then 14 to 17 could be regular teens, and this is the time when females add body fat and get curvier, and males add shoulder breadth and muscle mass and body and facial hair coarseness. And they would be adult height because that's realistic, if you correct for sex-based average height differences.

Not sure of it's worth it to add another very brief life stage, but that would be a way to have the cake and eat it too

I want sims to have more new better animations of realistic interactions (not having almost same similar recycle animations like in the sims 4) in project Rene. Like one example, “Food Preparation” in the sims 2, bring back realistic animations of better foods details, different food dishes, & sims sometimes open drawers to take out wooden spoon, open above & bottom door cabinets to get pot or anything out to do any Food Preparation, here few example on these clips in the sims 2 Food Preparation:

I would like for Seasons and Pets to be part of the base game. Also, try adding in anything that was added in past iterations through expansion packs as game updates.

I don’t want the same expansion packs as the past iterations, it gets boring and repetitive.

Everything that made Sims 3 & Sims 4 fun. Also a Castaway adventure & all worlds are big & livable.
Furthermore, it's got to be way better than any Sims games, Disney games & Civilization games.
    Otherwise, forget it.

    Sims 2:
    Emotions.
Car animations/generally better reactive and realistic animations.
    Little details like opening cabinets..
All of the sims 2 essentially...

    Sims 3:
Open world or atleast just lesser loading screens.
COMPRESSED PACKS! I dont want to be paying the price of two exp for something that came in the
sims 3 for the price of one.. (Were looking at you vampires and werewolves..)
    A PROPER PETS PACK...

    Sims 4:
    CAS.
    Art style.
    Easy house building.

I would prefer the points system for sims personality like in TS1 & 2, but with additional traits to add on. Basic weather in the BG. And this is a personal preference with occults as I know not everyone likes occult gameplay, but I'd love one world dedicated to occults like a version of the film Halloweentown. Where they all mingle, integrate and reside with just different neighborhoods in it with diff styles and then a town center with like a giant lit up pumpkin or something :D Also, as others have mentioned: 1. theme park rides that are not rabbit holes, hotels/resorts with normal vacation gameplay, cars and the ability to drive them around, more sports/outdoor activities, even if objects. For example: TS3 had a store object that allowed you to place down on beach lots where you could surf and it had interactions and some moodlets, etc. I miss simple things like that.

    Color wheel
    Create a pattern
    Create a world
    Sims 2-type apartments
    Open world or open neighborhood
More realistic objects/less big and chunky
    As many tools as possible

I want the ability to create my own world and not be stuck with a template of Maxis' idea of what my world should be.

Yes, absolutely miss the Sims 2 apartments system. it worked so flawlessly, and you could make your own and they worked exactly the same as the premade ones.
