Question About Mods

I finally caved and got MCCC so I could add a ghost kitty to my family before she faded away. Since it's been a while since I used mods, is there anything important to know that I'm forgetting? I forgot to clear my cache before installing. Hopefully that won't cause problems.

Next time you launch the game just clear your cache (the localthumbcache I believe) just in case.

Make sure you got a good grasp on what MCCC does because while it is a fantastic mod; it's rather complex and if you have certain modules things may happen without you intending (people move around, marry, have kids, etc.)

Otherwise, just remember to take out mods when you update the game and remember to look for updated versions of the mod in the future.

^ I think this covers it. Except to say remove your Mods folder whenever there's a Patch about to download. Make certain you turn off auto-update in Origin, so that when the Patch is about to drop, you have time to go into your documents file and remove the Mods folder. Then patch away.

Don't forget to back up your saves before ever patch.

This. But also, I'd keep a relatively fresh copy of the game/saves on your computer somewhere just in case of anything go wrong - patch or otherwise.

    Thank you guys so much!

@BlueR0se Is it safe to have mods in save and remove them? How about adding them back later?
