I've been wanting to create my own save file for quite some time now, as a goal that seems beyond my reach to finish, but the desire is still there. I've always been more of a builder than a player, but this last year I've really loved playing with the sims just as much.

My desire is to play a legacy and build as I go from scratch. I've got almost every pack, but I'm turning all of them off but base game to start. My plan is to build a base game save file, and after that one is uploaded, go back and add in different packs to expand on this sims world.

My plan is to build as the need arises for my legacy sim and the other households I create, added to the rotation, to compliment the world in which he lives. I want my world to feel organically grown, not planned out to a tee.

I'm starting with my legacy sim, Daniel Starr (named for the career he wants to pursue as an astronaut; the first career option in sims base game).

And I've put him in a brand new world, emptied of lots, both residential and commercial. Thank goodness for public toilets and bbq pits! I even grabbed a hot dog that someone cooked near my first fishing area.

It's so weird to see a non-Season's calendar! But I'm so glad they added that to base game.
