I don't really pretend at all, but I play sims 2 then go back and forth between chores and play. Sims kinda gives me that feeling of wanting to finish my chores around the house better and faster. :D no idea why, maybe it is because the sims work better then I do. So it encourages me to do better I guess.

    Kinda funny in away. :p

I think my player fell asleep at their desk with speed 3 on. When they wake up I'll be dead from a fire (making Christmas Cookies)... that's what I think when it even enters my mind. :scream:

I don't need to pretend... Last year, I bought a house in an HOA community and within the first couple weeks was invited to the Garden club. My puppy and I literally got attacked by a swarm a wasps last week while hiking in the woods behind my house and after the event, the Sims came to mind as I recalled running back and forth to stop the stinging. Let me tell you... motivation was massively low the entire day after that. My house is way too big for me, so when I don't have time to clean up rooms, I feel the environment score go down and it's annoying. And because I moved to New England, all the homes around me look like TS2 Maxis made starter homes. I had no idea how true to life this game was until I bought my house in the burbs. Now if only I could get raises they way they do in the game!

    I have.

I'm dealing with some real life health issues and I've found thinking in sims terms can be a helpful shorthand to get through the day. I especially use the moodlet concept... thinking "I'm Sad, what can I do to get some Happy or Inspired moodlets to counterbalance that?"

I love this. I so need to adopt this into my life.

    I know that I'm a Sim.
Given that it is possible to create life simulations makes it plausible that you actually live in one of the countless fake worlds.
And makes it almost impossible that you acually live in the one 'real' world.

No, I don't. But sometimes when I'm having an IRL conversation and talking enthusiastically about a topic and it's going well, I'm reminded of the "Enthuse about X" social interaction in the Sims that causes double plus signs "++"

I have made a simself off & on for years but I tend to get bored with my simself. I even made my simself family starting from before I was born. I was going to play them up to my own simdaughter, but got bored with it after baby me.
I mostly like playing hourseholds based on history, mythology, fantasy, futuristic & twists.
    😛😉

One time I accidentally LARPed as a sim. Went to the kitchen and couldn't figure out why the menu (open, cook, have lunch, etc) wasn't opening. Took me too long to remember this is real life and I need to open the door.
Can one awkward man find love when nobody knows what he looks like? Check out Joe Baghead season 1
