Thanks, I just did. It would certainly make more sense to be a new life stage but although they are stating it as if it is a fact, it's still only conjecture.
That's not how I read it, I have to say. They were all about clarifying what ended up being confusion. Infant is the actual life stage. Unless, our Sims are going to give birth to a six month old child, since they do look larger than the objects we currently have, placing them as a transitory stage in between would make perfect sense. Either way, I'm stoked.
If we still have newborns as opposed to the new infants, I hope we can at least sit and nurse them. Perhaps use a changing table. Otherwise, if they are chained to a bassinet, I may be tempted to age them up quickly. Still a win though, as before I was tempted to move on to toddlers. Now there will at least be an in-between stage. Maybe a guru will clarify soon which it will be.

It's so short of a clip. If someone told me it was a toddler I'd believe it. Interested in seeing more the closer we get. Willing to bet one of the EPs teased is going to be family focused (kid riding a bike, baby carrier)

We did get a link from SelinaKyles but although it seems very possible what they say is true, I still prefer for it to be confirmed by an actual guru. Ooh forgot about swim nappies, wonder if they will use the little paddle pool we currently have for toddlers @GalacticGal I think they would probably age up into their parents arms like the toddlers currently do, but hahaha loved your idea of a soft crib mattress
@telemwill I think our current babies will probably remain as they are chained to the bassinets, it’s the new infant stage that will be freed, well that is what some of us are thinking and even I am not quite sure, we will have to wait as you say for a guru to clarify it for us soon

@SimplyJen I hope for similar infants too, I loved bathing my little sims 2 babies in the washing basin and they were just the cutest little things ever, I do hope genetics show as well with eyebrow and eye colour as they did with our sims 2 babies, I mean that baby in the clip definetly had blackis hair
I would prefer they continue to work as they always have, where you can age them up when you want. I have no desire to have to play with them. If they were going to add a life stage I would have preferred a tween life stage.

I hear you. I think when I posted my own thread about getting infants, I was just so stunned. Now, that I've tried to play my game for a bit, I find my attention wandering and I have something on the order of PEPS, without the expansion pack. LOL I almost can't play my game. Although my Rock Star is up for his tenth Best Song Accolade. It's early Saturday in my game, the Starlight Accolades are on Sunday, you would think I'd be playing right now, just to get them through the Show. No, I just can't concentrate. It's a syndrome. A pre-Infant drop syndrome? (Which sounds inherently cruel.) Somebody help me on this. It must have a name!
@mcrudd You got me, I should say they got me. I’m watching the stream while I do my evening ride on the exercise bike. I literally just got to the end a few seconds ago and actually saw more than a screenshot. Seeing them ‘in action’, the little ones got me right in the heart.❤️ From now until they arrive in the game, every one of my sims is using birth control. Ain’t gonna be no babies ‘round here until then.🥰

Did you mean Sims3? Because unfortunately we could still see the Toddler's clothing while being bathed. Totally broke the emersion.
Sims 3 had the changing station from the store. Powder cloud animation for changing and bubbles for bathing. Still very cute and it's a fav of mine.
Sims 4 has the option to "bathe" toddlers in the sink. It's a changing animation with a very small hygiene increase. This was patched in a while ago.

Tub is the way to go. It's so disappointing and not worth it for the sink. It's as useful as wiping their face off with spit. Good enough in a pinch but not enough to properly fill the hygiene bar.
I’m not sure how they will work but I have hopes that the gameplay around them will be fun. I really liked raising the toddler skills and using parenthood so I hope they come up with a way to make this a fun life stage.
I'm guessing it's an intermediate life stage between crib babies and toddlers. Probably with beginning motor skills, early communication/social skills and play. Sitting independently, babbling and first words, crawling, cruising, leading into toddlers with first steps.
I just remembered that in S2 toddlers could crawl into a pet bed for a nap when they were tired LOL. It's a little gross I guess but I always thought that was adorable and pretty handy at times too! I hope they bring that back.
