My Sims become regular occurrences in my dreams. Hell I had several appear in a dream last night. I was like, holy hell why is Walmart advertising the Sims using one of my guys?

I know I'm addicted when my friends ask me questions about what I've been up to and we gossip about my sims like they play a role in our lives. I'm taking it as a compliment that I tell good stories!
Years ago some fellow Sim players and I were in Pasadena. As we drove down streets or looked in store windows, we'd randomly exclaim, "I've got that in my game!" Two of the players were great content creators and when we bemoaned not having an object, they made them for us.
I use a year count in my game. It's currently Year 230, and recently I have began to think it is currently real life year 2030. During a chat about something involving Year 2000, I can say "- It's crazy that it's already 30 years ago!". Then I will correct myself. It's quite annoying because people must think I'm not very good at counting (2022-2000=22 should be rather easy to most grown ups), which is actually one of my better skills, LOL.
Sometimes I don’t feel the need to actually boot up the game since I spent half my day at work planning out my sims’ stories in my head. Then I have to open it up anyway so the game clock catches up to the one in my head.

I can relate to this so much. In my case I start my searches with "the sims 4" then what I'm looking for, but it's still the same thing.
I have seen people out and about, irl, who were wearing a really wild or especially bad outfit and think to myself, "townie".
