In your experience… (need My Wedding Stories help)

My Sims (happen to be two girls) are on a clock. They have two days or less to get married or miss out on the phone call inheritance.
I have not used the Wedding Stories gameplay, yet…
I am wondering if they might be able to do a quick elopement and then throw a party at a slightly later time. Say maybe they had to get the actual licence out-of-state or some such. Maybe they are playing the ‘scammer’ who is going to end up paying them out. Whatever.
I see the pack introduced all sorts of bachelor party, rehearsal, renewal of vows for married couples…. Most of that will just have to wait for the next couple/generation. But what do I need to know to secure the inheritance payment and still get a bit of a kick out of this pack??

You are not obligated to play all of the parties associated with the wedding. Just set up the date, time, and place and voila. No need to waste precious time. I think you could likely throw a party later. It may not be under the auspices of the whole wedding thing, but a party is a party is a party, is all I'm saying.
