Anoter thing I just hate is the pee walk - meaning the sim takes three times as long to reach the toilet. There was a time the would dash to reach the toilet when their bladder need was red. Or was that sims 3 ?
Don't you love it when your Sim stands there for 12 hours waiting for a random townie to fly across the world, geolocate their exact position and butt in their conversation just to leave after 3 seconds.

When you're cooking a meal and just before you've finished your sims partner walks into the kitchen and grabs something out of the fridge.
Yes! Like dude you’re ruining this date😂 whenever my sims do this I start shouting expletives at them 🫣
I do my best to cancel those actions, by sending the fridge-raiding Sim off on another task. Sometimes it works, sometimes, not so much.
There should be a way to lock the fridge, you know?
Yeah that would be a good idea! Like a child proof lock but to keep them out of the fridges
Back when I first started my story thread, before Travis revealed he was a two-faced snake, there was a moment with him and Summer I wish I had known was coming. If I had I wouldn't taken a screenshot, I would have hit 'V' and recorded it. Summer was cooking dinner and Travis was sitting at the table talking to her. Get leftovers popped into his queue. A couple of seconds later Summer unexpectedly sneezed into the meal she was cooking. At that same moment get leftovers dropped from his queue into action. The split second she starts embarrassingly trying cover what just happened he gets up and walks to fridge and grabs something to eat. I nearly proved that hysterical death is a real thing. I could play this game for a million years and never get that to happen again, and I missed saving it to share with everybody. Months later I'm laughing my butt off at the memory of it all.🤣
Actually I’ve only done one wedding since getting My Wedding Stories. But I didn’t need a caterer or mixologist. I don’t think. Oops, can’t actually remember… I’ll be doing another wedding soon so I’ll have to look.

You don’t need one. I have MWS and I just had a wedding in my favorite save and it didn’t require me to assign those roles. I could hire a sim or assign one of my sims if I wanted, but it wasn’t required.
When you're cooking a meal and just before you've finished your sims partner walks into the kitchen and grabs something out of the fridge.
You are able to cancel actions.
Another one is when your sim is in a bar or nightclub and you find that special someone, you queue up "invite to stay the night", and some random townie suddenly inserts themselves into your conversation removing the queued action, your sim gets stuck talking them and the potential woohoo partner leaves the lot.
Don't you just hate it when you find your main household's cow is suddenly unhappy and dirty at night, but the shed is clean? I mean, how? What is it doing in there?
Sims 4 Family: Benjamin, Shine, Princess Roddy, Sophia and Hamish Furystrykar and Shelly Heart. Princess Roddy is my avatar, and he's a boy!

Perhaps, not the wedding itself since they released MWS and it's all changed up. But other events do call for a cook and a mixologist.

This is why I keep playing this game. Silly, hysterically gross moments like this. LOL
As a storyteller who does a lot of group activities, it drives me nuts that the average sim's attention span is like 0.05 seconds. I'm trying to get a group together around a table to shoot a scene. As the last sim sits, the first sim gets up to go do something totally random. It reminds me of acrobats, one stands on the teeter-totter and another one jumps on the other end and launches them.
Edit to add a better analogy
I just had my young Sim couple go out on a date. For most of the time, she kept getting up. Happily, I was able to control her, since they live in the very same dorm at university, but still. I was constantly having to send her back to their table to sit and chat. It's a wonder they got a Legendary date out of it!
Since I'll be using one of my backup saves to stage Matteo's proposal I'm going to merge everybody into one household and disable autonomy and see if that helps. That save is the one I keep for special occasions like this. When I'm done I can exit without saving and I don't wreck anything. We'll see if it works. It's a bit of a pain in the butt to have to do something like that just to get a group of sims to stick together for a few minutes. It's like, guys, all I need is for you to stay together and focus for like 20 minutes, 30 tops.😆
Oh, so glad I'm not the only one who 'talks' to her Sims. LOL
@GalacticGal There are so many hysterical animations in the game but I think the cooking animations are the funniest. The actions themselves and the facial expressions that go with them are to die for.
I talk to my sims a bit. When I'm creating a new one in CAS I'll pose questions to the sim on screen and sort feel for how that sim in front of me would answer and let that guide me in choosing traits and outfits. That is if the sim in question is going to be one I play a lot. If they're just background filler, then I just throw something together that looks presentable.😁

Writing experts do say that it's acceptable to use "stereotypes" for minor parts.
I hate it when you Q up actions and they drop half of them. Feed the baby and cuddle. Go to next sim give instructions. Go back to first and she's cuddling baby, ok thats done but 2 seconds later the baby is flashing a bottle. She just breast fed you didn't she? So I tell her to breast feed AGAIN. It's a extra long feed so that means she didn't feed the baby. When I feed too often they get a negative reaction and won't eat.My point is when you fill their Q and they drop some you don't know what they did and what they dropped. It's so annoying, I want them to do things in the order I want. They seem to be dropping a lot lately.

I had a birthday party yesterday (I usually don't, but scenario called for it) and I didn't need a mixologist or a caterer. I just had the kids mother bake a cake, and that's it.

Don’t you just hate it when you send your child sim to the park to play with friends and the dad calls a few minutes after saying how he misses her and why she moved away and then when the child gets home the mom wants to chat and lets her know it was a good decision to move back home again.
The kid went to the park on the lot next to the house…
Things like this infuriate me and makes me lose the want to play.
Omg yes getting out of bed just to pass out on the floor! Sims really are stupid sometimes
I’ve never actually hired a caterer for a wedding or any other kind of event. Seems like I shouldn’t!
Unfortunately, when setting up these events you can't escape choosing a caterer and mixologist. But, I use the Banquet tables, nevertheless. That way the Cook can go about and do their own thing and my guests get treated to something other than sweets, only.
Unless they changed it with wedding stories, I have never hired a caterer for a wedding. I just always used a buffet table for food as it came early in the game with luxury party stuff. I have always hired a mixologist though to make it more convenient.

Yes the pee walk is the one that annoys me most!
I too have had my sims go to a different restroom to use the sink. My sim did that at the High School bathroom, that is annoying, then I noticed a sim at home go to the kitchen sink to wash their hands, it seems like that is a fairly new glitch they need to fix.
Another thing that annoys me is when I que up my sim to get food to eat and then sit to watch tv….. my sims will first sit down at the table and then get back up to sit on the couch.
@GalacticGal
While wedding planning just don’t select a caterer, I’m pretty sure you can do that with a mixologist and musician too.
I just have to say that sill walk made me crack up for a very long time, without ceasing. Yeah, it's very bizarre and it certainly takes way more time to get to a toilet to relieve themselves, but still it's hilarious.

Well, that message is completely illogical. The kid went to the park to play. She didn't move there.
Don't you just hate it when you go to a bar, order a drink, and see that the cost of the drink was deducted from your Sims household funds just as the bartender decides to check his phone which cancels my Sims drink order? After checking his/her phone the bartender stands around chatting for several seconds before tending the bar again. You have to time a drink order between the incessant need to stare at cellphones on the part of your own Sim as well as that of the bartender.
I don't really hate when this happens, but it is annoying. I've probably been seeing this more than usual because I've been play-testing various bars and restaurants in my game.

ikr?! It reminds me of the wack a mole game. Can't keep em all down at once. Thank good ness they made the "set the table" option that gets people to all sit qnd eat together. Also the hot pot, that does it too.

Have you tried turning off autonomy?
I was pleased that Sims are now more likely to do sensible things like Go to the bathroom and eat, on their own, but if you find your Sim is refusing to look after their baby and there's no underlying cause to address, like mean or hates children traits, maybe turning off autonomy would help.
Also if they have parenting as an aspiration, it makes them far more attentive as parents.
