Which Kits are worth it?

«1
With 2 new kits announced, which of these $5 little packs do you recommend? Sadly I have bust the dust and just never use it. I've gotten few others and don't mind.... but which do you think are really worth owning?

I feel they are. I just wish they weren't affecting the stuff pack release schedule. Which is not official, but it just feels like it to me. I miss having a game play object that came with the stuff packs.

But I also think some are more worth it to some people than to others. I'm more build/buy oriented, so while I think some of the CAS kits are worth the $5, I don't think they all are...at least for me. Other people will have the opposite though, and some will think all are worth it and some will think none are worth it. It really just depends on the player I think.

For the most worth it though? The Little Campers kit seems a lot more packed than the others. And I'm not even much of a family player.
It's kind of sad that I have to point out that anything I say is only just my opinion and may be a different one from someone else.

There are some that I like but most of them aren't worth it. I miss stuff packs. Below are the ones I personally like:

Throwback Fit Kit, I really like the outfits in this and my sim wears them all the time.

Fashion Street Kit. My Bollywood sims really needed more outfits.

Incheon Arrivals has some really solid outfits. There's a jacket and skirt combo that I'm obsessed with and I use it for my sims winterwear with tights and high boots.

Decor to the Max - I held off on this one, I was sure I wouldn't like anything in it. Then I bought it and I really like the rug and the crazy wallpaper. Some of the items in this go well with items in previous packs, I use the couch and accent tables often.

Little Campers Kit - I like the swing. That's it. One item.

I'd pass on everything else. 13 kits and I like 4 plus one item out of a 5th. Not a good ROI, I want my money back, lol.

ETA: If you play children then Little Campers is a good one for you. I don't play children so it was a waste of money.

For CAS Moonlight Chic and Incheon Arrivals are the ones I end up going back to again and again.

For B/B I would say Blooming Rooms, Country Kitchen, and Little Campers are the most useful.

It depends on the Kit. Personally, the best Kits are:
    Oasis Courtyard <3
    Fashion Street <3
    Blooming Room <3
    Decor To The Max <3
    Little Campers <3

As for the other Kits, they can be handy. ;)
I do suggest to never get Bust The Dust, that's the worst one. :s

I like quite a few of the kits. My favorites so far are probably little campers and the kids fit kit. Throw back Fitness also has a few children's fashions, and a lot of female fashions, we rarely get work out clothes, or childrens clothes. I was looking forward to the mens kit, but was dissapointed in all the mens dresses and skirts, there are a few nice mens sweaters though. I love the Carnaval Streetwear for my female teen sims, lots of sparkly stuff, I think that and the children’s fit kit are my favorite CAS kits. My daughter really likes the Fashion Street kit, loves all the jewelry in all the kits too. Moonlight Chic kit has some nice long pants for the guys and what looks like racing jackets, and I like a couple of the girls tops too, and it has a very cute mid length summery dress great for teens.

I like all of the build kits. I use country kitchen a lot, I love the variation of counters and the kitchen clutter items. The Industrial loft kit I love too, and matches the basegame industrial counters. The Decor to the Max has the cutest sofa and a lot of other unique pieces, I use pieces here and there with other stuff a lot, and it has several vibrant wall papers. Blooming rooms has a lot of plants and shelves., and even some furniture. I probably use Courtyard Oasis least, but it does have some fantastic build stuff especially if you are into Moroccan building items, and furniture. The little campers I love because of the childrens items, I can never get enough of them.

I have bust the dust too, but don’t use it. I feel like it should have been like the laundry pack where you can just use it with certain families and not be forced to have dust in all lots.

So yeah, I pretty much use stuff from all the kits. I don’t use Custom Content, so all the extra stuff with the kits is very much appreciated by me.

There are some specialized kits I’d like to see like Goth clothing kits and some things like throwback Witches outfit and hat without the spider, and Dracula’s cape.

Also I would love to see even more childrens kits, some toddlers clothes and buy kits and some baby fashions and clutter.

I too really miss stuff packs, they always came with a little bit of everything. I loved them all….

Edited to say, I would also like a nightwear pack, like many other people have mentioned in the past..

None really. I got the Mediterranean home decor kit because I like that style. But I find most of the items in the kit limited in where you can place them because they sized some of them wrong (tea beverage or pitcher tray for ex.) to fit into existing decor of the other game packs including base game. The same for the weird to the max decor kit. Most of it was unusable with some bad wallpaper designs and items that didn't seem to really add anything after placing in one apartment. So, although the desert lux kit stuff looks interesting, I hope the same problems doesn't come up. I'll hold out to see more about it before considering it.

    The ones I own:
    The kids fit kit
    the plant one
    Moonlight chic
    Incheon arrival

    Ones I don’t own:
    decor to the max
    industrial build kit
    Fashion street
    Little campers
    The courtyard oasis

I would definitely say the Bite the dust isn’t worth it. The throwback cas kit but only because it’s not my style.
I agree with some posted here as well, they said it doesn’t effect stuff pack releases yet they haven’t released a SP in so long but continue to pump out kits 🤨 that’s laughable

I use Courtyard Oasis, Blooming Rooms, Incheon Arrivals and Fashion Street all the time. Little Campers is more recent but I used it to create a whole city-wide event in my main save so that was pretty awesome too :)

It'sa very individual matter. I think you should just look at the items of those kits and decide what you like the most (if any) and if you are willing to pay for them. Kits are essentially just cosmetics that bring almost no gameplay to the game.

@SheriSim57 I made a version of the Casbah Gallery with this setup, saved it to my library and once every summer or so I bring it around :)

I agree you should look at overviews of the kits. Some simmers do some great overviews that show almost all the swatches of items.

@mightysprite what a cute idea! Thank you for sharing. I have swapped out whole lots ( like Christmas lots ), but never thought of doing a partial swap out for events.

The only kit that remotely appeals to me is Incheon Arrivals. I especially like the jacket and skirt combo, the ankle boots and the trenchcoat. I also like the fact the pack has quite normal colour swatches. If I was a console user I'd probably get that one but on PC with so much CC available I'm not sure I want to buy it.

I have a few kits, out of the one's that I have bought I feel that all kits have some good items that are well made and some items that are not that well made...

I would probably only recommend the Moonlight Chic Kit.

It's a matter of what extra items or cas you want in your game. Such as, I loooove Bust the Dust. lol I also use the clutter from country kitchen, and CAS from Throw Back Fitness and Fashion Street the most. Carnival Streetwear has fashions I'd put on my merfolk when I get a chance. But if EA came out with some additional sci-fi alien wear and B/B that would be awesome. Steam Punk, stuff I'd be all over that.

I loved bust the dust, but since july patch it's broken and never works for me :( I miss my dust bunnies.
This whole kit is pointless now and I am angry, because I have paid for that!
As for other kits, I like BB kits, especially this one with plants - I forgot the name...

Since I love to build/decorate, build kits are my favorite, including:

    Blooming Rooms
    Industrial Loft
    Country Kitchen
    Décor to the Max

I do not own the Little Camper's kit yet, but I know I will love it too! <3

Of the CAS kits the one I use the most, which surprises me, is the Throwback Fit kit. I love the sneakers and quite a few of the clothes! Ditto for Incheon Arrivals, love the sneakers, boots, the long coat and long skirt outfits. I do not own the Moonlight Chic kit quite a few seem to love in this thread. However, I love the dress included in that kit. I haven't purchased it since I couldn't justify paying $5 for just one dress.

Of the two new kits, the only one that piques my interest is Desert Luxe for the angled windows! Unlike Moonlight Chic which only has one asset I would like so haven't bought it, I will get Desert Luxe just for the windows. I don't know why I hesitate with Moonlight Chic for one asset since I bought MFP just for the window shades. :D I guess $5 for one build asset seems more worth it to me than for one CAS asset.

I enjoy the kits. The only thing that concerns me about them is how it seems they have replaced stuff packs. Stuff packs had more bang for your buck in my opinion!

    Happy Simming! <3

In my opinion all of them, but if you’re strapped for money then get them on sale. Bust the Dust adds some gameplay as well as Little Campers.

Do they put kits on sale? So far I never seen a kit on sale.

The only two I really feel I've gotten my money's worth from are Bust the Dust and Decor to the Max.
