My comments now show up as "new" to me?

Up until a couple of weeks ago, when I read all the new comments in a thread, and then replied with my own comment, my own comment didn't appear as "new" in the forum view.
Now, my own comments do show up as "new".
Was this a purposeful update or is it something I can adjust? I'd rather have threads look like they have "new" comments only if they were made by someone else.

Maybe @EA_Cade can look into it.
Done and done, our forum hosting provider has been made aware of this issue this morning.

Also, I really wish there wasn't a "notification" (number marked in yellow) for posts I only peeked into. If I post something, fine, but its not necessary if I only read a few posts.

Still under investigation by the forum host I'm afraid.
I thought it was me, but the weird thing is, it doesn't do every time, sometimes I comment and when refresh it stays as a "read" post. Other times I comment and refresh and it shows it as unread but I'm the last person who commented.
