I literally had a Sim create a book series called "I Cannot Believe It's Not Butter" (yes based on the margarine spread brand) that was about a 12-yr old boy named "Butter Churn" who realized his father lied to him about what he puts on his corn on the cob. Butter ends up running away from home to figure out what is on his corn on the cob if it's not freaking butter! I had a Sim make three book series about Butter Churn's adventures.

    I would read this.

Thank you. But poor Butter Churn never found out what was on his corn on the cob :( maybe some new Simmers can write about what was really on it!

    Spoilers!

I made my titles to fit with description:

Science Fiction - Experiment Cowberry - about genius who grafted cowberry onto death plant and has to face consequences for destroying nature balance.
Science Fiction - Plates In The Sky - The same day sister of our favorite genius disappeared, people spotted strange objects in the sky.
Romance - Way To Heart - about daughter of Lucas Dark, flirtatiously inept woman who loves to read Love In The Time Of Sandwiches and her favorite sculpture is chicken with eggs.

I have some non-fiction titles for pregnant sims. It doesn’t actually improve the process, but it seems fun to watch them read up before labor.

Pregnancy Vol. 1: Pee on a Stick - You’ve tried for baby instead of woohoo, now you wonder if you’re pregnant? Go pee on a stick!
Pregnancy Vol. 2: You Get What You Eat - Congratulations! I assume you’re really pregnant since you bought this volume. Experts says the food we eat and the music we listen to directly affects the fetuses. What do you mean that music isn’t on the title? Well, it’s in the pages.
Pregnancy Vol. 3: Wait, Have You Bought A Crib? - You should. Unless you’re planning to give birth in a hospital, then the government will give you one for free. What are the rest of the pages about you asked? I think it’s about my childhood, I’m not sure.

Because my author was literally Elliott from Stardew Valley, three of his titles were the novel options from the game. The others are everything from stupid puns to references to my WIPs/crappy unpublished oneshots. For example:

    Blackthorne: A Ghostly Love Story
He was a hero executed for a crime he didn't commit. She was a psychopath executed for several crimes she did commit. Now they've both ended up in the same generic afterlife-is-what-you-make-it. Cue the inevitable unlikely friendship and, perhaps, something more...

Phoenix: A Journey To The Turnabout
An evening of musical theatre goes horribly wrong when the hostess is murdered right in the middle of Monkey Bee. It'll take a brain of heavenly proportions to get some enlightenment on the case, but thankfully there's two of them involved... and neither one is a slightly unhinged simian.

    Borealis
Aurora Charity Thrower has officially lost the plot. She has thrown away a successful career in IT helpdesk support for an overgrown mess in a tiny town. Now what?
Well, at first it's a couple of parsnips. Then it's the cat. Then it's the man of her dreams. It kinda snowballs after that.

    And so on.

I'm actually to lazy to think of book titles. Usually I just accept whatever pops up on my screen.

I think I had one Sim write dirty books so I won't share the titles here, but it was funny seeing the raunchy books they wrote become bestsellers and other sims talking about how much they love the book.

Kayleigh Speaks (she's the wife of my Global Superstar, Rock Star) and the book his father wrote:

So far the only Sim that has an actual full-time writing career is my Shigure Sohma Sim. He can only do children's books so far.
    Titles of the books;
Vegetable Basket: A tale of a young orphan boy that meets the members of the Western Zodiac who change into their signs after being hugged/embraced by the opposite gender.
Vegetable Basket: Another: A tale of a young boy being helped by the children of the former Western Zodiac.
I basically just had Shigure write the Fruits Basket manga, but change the gender of the main character, and the version of the Zodiac being used.

    • Apocalypse next Thursday, about lunchtime (Mystery)
    • Eggs Hussarde 3 (Cooking)
    • Game of Moans (Romance)
    • Avast, it's an Onion (Cooking) -- probably written on that Talk like a Pirate day, I can't remember.
    • The Thing on the Mountain (Mystery)
