I found a saved document of a Sims 3 Challenge called the Dramatic Life Challenge. I've apparently had it for like 5 years and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can find a link to the actual challenge or the creator. Google was not my friend on this day.
This really should be stickied since it's a little more up to date than the other one in regards to challenges.
Anyways here's my modified version of the Through the Decades challenge by ZombieCleo for Sims 3. Like in the original challenge the goal is to take a family from the 1890s to the 2010s . Each decade will have a set of guidelines to essentially experience each decade as accurately as possible. UPDATE: I have moved on to the 1900s and I'm currently play-testing that decade with my modified rules, so I'll add them here.
General Rules
Housing and Funds
1. Starter money only up to (16k)
2. All these rules assume you have all the expansion packs except Into The future if you lack any of these expansion packs modify the rules as you see fit.
1890s Rules:
1.Buy any land/house with it, this is best played as a "homestead" style story, as in their money comes from the land they live on.
2.Only male heirs are allowed. If there are no boys, then a woman's husband may inherit.
3.Sims may only have a relationship and marry with the opposite gender and within their own ethnicity/race.
4. Sims must only "Try for Baby" and never "Woohoo." (If you have the "w" mod it is also recommended to set Try for baby to autonomous, but not required).
5.No electricity. Use candles or lanterns to light up the house.
6.Women take care of the children, tidy the house, and cook. They can help tidy the garden. If she is widowed she may pick one of the listed careers below or paint.
7. As mentioned, a career such as gardener is recommended, but some other self-employment career to go for is for is inventor, writer or fisherman (aka angler). Supplies for these jobs must be either gathered in places like the junkyard or bought in the consignment/apothecary store.
8. Sims cannot get a divorce unless one of them commits adultery (in this case, flirting with another sim in front of the spouse). If she is divorced she must join the "actor" career or one of the Showtime careers.
9.Elementary is mandatory, but high school is optional.
10. Female children must move out once they're married.
11.Cell Phones are only allowed to invite people over to your house or to travel.
12.Outside toilets and bathtubs only.
13. Wooden furniture, floor and walls only, however you may get a small rug, but keep in mind that was a luxury during the period, so don't just fill your house with rugs. Also if your character wants to be a writer, you may have a computer in the house, but it must only be used for writing and nothing else.
14.Buy ovens and fridges that are as close to period as possible. I personally recommend the wood fire stove if you have Monte Vista.
15. Festivals and Holidays are allowed, but edit the fairgrounds to roughly period if you want to use it.
16.Every child born during this decade must be born at home.
17. A butler or maid can be hired if you can afford it.
18. You also don't need a cow plant, but I'll elaborate on how I intend to simulate "going to war" when we get to the 1910s
19. Optional: you may roll a die a random times to determine if a Sim dies of a disease, this can also be simulated using the Vector mod over at NRAAS for a more thorough experience. Another idea is to roll a die every time your founder's wife has a child to see if she "dies in childbirth",after that you could use mods to kill her off instantly.
1900s Rules:
1. Relationships, Woohoo and Inheritance Rules are the same
2. You may now have electricity (only in the form of lamps) and Indoor plumbing (Still Bathtubs only though).
3. Upholstery and Wallpaper are now available as well as a Phonograph. Computers must still be the cheapest one available and limited to writing only.
4. The rest of whatever town you're playing in is now unlocked! In fact, leisure was an important part of Edwardian culture so it's actively encouraged that your Sims "Go to town" or actively live in the center of it all. For optimum historical accuracy edit the town as you see fit.
5. Trips are also encouraged.
6. For males, all career branches are now available, except the Science, Military, and Band career paths. However, the Law Enforcement branch is limited to the local level, so no secret agents here. Furthermore, the music career is limited to the Classical branch(aka no rock stars allowed). Lastly, the Criminal career is possible but discouraged.
7. If married, women must still stay at home. However, before they marry or if they are widowed they may have any of the available part-time jobs, join the acting career branch or the teaching branch.
8. Divorced women must take up one of the Showtime careers or "acting" career if you don't have the Showtime expansion pack.
9.Optional: First Wave Feminism has officially started, so at least one woman in your household becomes a Feminist. She attends protests, much to the chagrin of her parents/ the previous generation. She also tries to force your household into giving up "Nector". Does she succeed or does it lead to less than stellar results like a divorce?

Thank you for your time. I've been updating 'The Sims 4 Legacy Tracking Assistant'. I don't know who made it, but I've been updating one I downloaded. Neither I nor the original poster can find the original post. I need someone who knows some mad Excel skills. I would also like input on what should be added, and my latest version was for Outdoor, so I'm a bit behind. If you are interested in collaborating on this, please message me.
I have started a new Sims 3 challenge you can read the rules and stories about my household in my blog
https://mostvaluednoob.com/sims-3-challenges/
Here is a brief description.
Name of challenge: The one challenge I chose that name because you will begin with one sim and end with one sim.
Requirements. You must have at least ten worlds installed in your game. If you have more than ten you can either play at all of them or at ten.
Purpose. You will start with one sim, your founder, have an heir who when is an young adult will move to a new world. You will do that up to your last generation where the last sim will have no heirs but a duty. To built a legacy home dedicated to his/her ancestors.
Winning There are no points here. In order to win you must have a full family tree back to generation one and a legacy home displaying memorabilia for each founder and the city he/she grew up.
I myself right have moved to the second world so it's not a fully tested challenge. I will update if something else needs attention mostly in the part of moving and keeping the family tree and memorabilia for the end. I strongly suggest to make new save files in case something goes wrong.
If you decide to try my challenge I'd like to read stories from you and most of I hope you'll have lots of fun!!!
So, I created 2 challenges, and I double-checked that they weren't made by anyone already, these are Sims 3 and Sims 4 compatible challenges for the nice and charming & for the evil and disaster'ous Simmers.
The Devil (Make the Meanest, most Evil Sim be enemies with everyone, make the Sim fight random people, be brutal to anybody that crosses their path. (For Extra Brutal Simmers: make "The Hell Kingdom" in your home lot, make your Sim The King or Queen, get Sims to live there and torture them without actualy killing them, for example: give them 1 meal once a day (it you see that they are in a bad condition, give them more food), the worst bed, make them a slave, constantly beaten up and if you decide to have kids, make them a nanny, they must take care of your kids, help them with their homework, teach them and so on.) If you want to be friendly with someone, they must be Evil, like you and they can be your Friend, Baby Maker (females) or Baby Daddy (males) and you can marry them if you want to. Affairs are highly encouraged as there will be more drama. After the King's/Queen's death, the throne will be taken by the oldest yet living child or the worst and most evil Devil, this is an unlimited generation challenge) NOTE: YOU CAN ADD MORE BRUTAL TORTURING METHODS, THE POINT IS, THEY CAN'T BE KILLED BY THEM.
The Angel (the Opposite of "The Devil" Challenge, where you make your Sim the most charismatic, friendliest and the greatest Sim of all time, they must be nice to everyone, and they have to be appreciated by the community. If you want, you can make "The Heaven Kingdom" in your home lot, make your Sim a God or Goddess and let nice people live in your home lot, you must allow them to eat as much as they want, make them live their best lives there and make them live in the best possible conditions. If you want to marry someone, the Sim has to be the God's/Goddess' Angel, who has lived there for more than 3 days. You can marry them on the third day, and have children with them as soon as right after marriage. You cannot have affairs with anyone or have a negative reputation and the same goes for other Angels. If you do, you are kicked out of Heaven to live somewhere else and even that can happen to the God or Goddess, but instead they will be kicked off the throne the first time, but if they do it again, they are kicked out of the Kingdom just like the other Angels. The unclaimed throne will belong to the oldest living kid of the former God/Goddess or if they didn't have any kids, then to the longest there-lived Angel. This is an unlimited generation challenge!) NOTE: YOU CAN ADD REWARDS FOR SOME GOOD ACTIONS, FOR EXAMPLE: DONATING TO THE NEEDY, SAVING SOMEBODY'S LIFE... THE POINT IS TO BE GOOD AND WORTHY TO BELONG IN HEAVEN.

I have started a new Sims 3 challenge you can read the rules and stories about my household in my blog
https://mostvaluednoob.com/sims-3-challenges/
Here is a brief description.
Name of challenge: The one challenge
I chose that name because you will begin with one sim and end with one sim.
Requirements.
You must have at least ten worlds installed in your game.

Purpose.
You will start with one sim, your founder, have an heir who when is an young adult will move to a new world. You will do that up to your last generation where the last sim will have no heirs but a duty. To built a legacy home dedicated to his/her ancestors.
Winning
There are no points here.
The Devil (Make the Meanest, most Evil Sim be enemies with everyone, make the Sim fight random people, be brutal to anybody that crosses their path. If you want to be friendly with someone, they must be Evil, like you and they can be your Friend, Baby Maker (females) or Baby Daddy (males) and you can marry them if you want to.
