@Fairy_Happy@Cynna In my game I was able to sneak out by clicking on the ground. Can't remember if it was the floor or outside the house. Perhaps that would work for you? It was after a sim had been invited to a late night party.

I wasn't the one who was having trouble with Sims sneaking out. Yet, I'm curious. Did your Sims sneak out of a door when you clicked on the ground, or did they go out of that window? If they used the door, that would mean that the sneak out interaction isn't as restrictive as I first thought.
We have a college/school pack which means the ground work was probably in the game for this pack in small ways. The fair should've been part of it's own gamepack/ep and fleshed out better even if it didn't have a world but only included the business part of it like with Go To Work, which only had businesses when you went to that lot. They could've added empty lots around it for us to fill. For this school pack, what I would've rather saw with this pack is:
a world with a highschool and a grade school with there own fields for games
a daycare for toddlers with playpens, walkers, swings, riders for toddlers and playmats for infants and their own infant swings
an adoption agency
real at home babysitting.
Since we already had some stuff in place with colleges EP, then they should've expounded on all this and added for these groups and in an update for the college Ep maybe opened the classrooms as they did in this highschool one.
It's nice to have another place to go, but I hate that the rides are closed off.
While I was reading through them I just couldn't understand why most of this stuff in not in the game. I could understand if they said b.c it might break the game, but the update before the pack broke the game, my wedding stories was sold broken, and high school came out with prom and graduation glitches, and the social bunny feature is by no means properly balanced.
Sims 4 has a reputation of not caring about quality and being broken more often than it is working, so why not release the content people wanted and the modders are giving. So what if it breaks the game, that didn't stop you from selling wedding stories, so why let it stop you now when it is something people actually wanted? This baffles me honestly.
I would like it better if the whiteboard had options on it, so we could choose which classes occur in which room. That way we could decide which rooms to use for which classes and be able to use both classrooms in the school day.

Disappointed we can only build a high school in copperdail I was really hoping for something like rival schools or another school for sims to move to if they’ve been expelled.

I build a house with the special window and I can't get them to use it. It's on the 3. floor with a balcony and latter-wine. If I ask them to go to the balcony they will walk down the stairs inside the house and climb all the way up the latter...!
I can click on the window to Lock it, like a door. But so far haven't had any invites to sneak out playing this house. I hope they can use it then. But I don't understand why they can't use it without a sneak-out invite...?!

While I love High School years, there are still things I find disappointing. For instance :
The world
It’s a beautiful world, I like that there are things to do and will take my sims to the pier all the time, however it doesn’t have enough lots in my opinion. If you want to move in a family, you have to evict some of the premades and the only two empty lots are tiny, so you can’t easily build a family home with a backyard.
Cross pack compatibility
- I was very disappointed to find out kids can’t have pillow fights. They can’t use the photobooth either.
- You can make clubs with the club system but they can’t meet at the school or the auditorium.
- Parents can’t ground their teens for sneaking out, or getting detention. I would have loved that. They can’t ask their teens about school either.
I love how the expansion added more gameplay for teens but it had potential to be better. I understand there was a budget and they cannot always put everything into game, but I was expecting a bit more, you know? Teens aren't known for being constantly on their phones and obsessed with social media. Where are the cliques that are known in these American high school movies? Where are the traits that make our sims unique? I mean, I can't be the only one to think party animal, overachiever, and socially anxious describes teens in the real world, am I?
My relationships in general have been out of control, too. And it's not just teens--young adults, adults, and elders are asking people they've never met to be their best friend or their boyfriend/girlfriend, and even though I had my playable sims deactivate Social Bunny since I didn't like how the sims were posting/sending autonomous mean messages to/about people they had really high relationships with, they're still getting random relationship gains & losses that I assume are linked to Social Bunny.
I think I'm giving up on buying this pack anytime soon. I will not put up with random relationships beginning or ending. I thought this would only occur where it makes sense. Like you have a good friendship bar and they ask to be best friends. You have a high romance bar and they ask to be boyfriend or girlfriend. Or your romance bar is red and they ask to break up. This random stuff is not for me!
This is what I wanted to do, in that I wanted to wait for a year and see if they fix the bugs like with MWS, but my sister and I share my sims account and she sent me half of the money for HSY so now I'm playing with a very buggy game aha.
Also agree with how broken relationships are now, it's just so out of control. Like I do enjoy that Social Bunny is an easier way for teens to make friends (this was always my biggest gripe with TS4, in that adults could meet and socialise with co-workers while at work, but child and teen sims could only "meet new friends" or "study". Which is pretty unrealistic.)
Give our Vampires back their fangs!!! Reverse the Nerf!!! Occult simmers should not be shoved aside for the "realism players"! It's time Occult lovers/players started to demand equal treatment. #JusticeForOccults

Why do I have two High School packs in Origin? One is installed and the other is ready to download. 🤔🤷🏼♂️🙄.
It's the same for me, and it's causing me to not be able to download some streamers houses, like Deligracy's because the game claims I don't own the objects even though I do.

The shadows are so harsh, the color is so off. It makes it really difficult to build. It's got the same off coloring that Willow Creek had before they finally fixed it. Years later.
@Dianesims, I agree with you. I am not happy that kids can't use pillow fighting. Didn't know they couldn't use the photo booth either as I haven't played at all because of all of the bugs! So now I have another reason to be very disappointed in this game. I was looking forward to family time at the amusement park and being able to have family get pics from the photo booth. I am missing my Sims 4 game, but I am not playing until the bugs are fixed. Why do they limit function of some very good items to only one group? Makes no sense to me. Kids in real life use the photo booth with their friends. Why punish the kids in Sim land?

Anyway, since the very beginning, TS4 has had only two groups that matter. There are adult-sized Sims and everyone else. There is always something in the pipeline for adult-sized Sims. Kids and toddlers (might as well forget about the object baby) tend to get the short end of the stick.
For example, High School Years could have been called School Years and included a lot for an elementary school as well as the high school. Other than new deaths and woohoo spots, I haven't observed anything in HSY that wouldn't have translated just as easily for a grade school kid.

I wish that I could help you, but I don't have the pack. There's not enough that interests me to justify a purchase at full price, maybe ever. I'll stick to poses if I want Sims to sit on the ground, I guess.
The only advice that I can offer is to watch a couple of people on YouTube in order to learn how they got the feature to work for them. Set up your window and ladder exactly as they did. If that doesn't work for you, I don't know what's wrong. As a last resort, according to Mightysprite, you can get your teens to sneak out by clicking on the ground outside. They won't use the window, though. They'll sneak out the door.

Children can now use hot tubs! Children can now play foosball! Children can do a lot more than they could in the previous games and it is awesome!
The Sims 4 now:
Children can't use photo booths, even though they could in the previous games. Children can no longer have pillow fights. Bikes? Still unusable by children. But hey, they now get adult hairstyles...
Children want to do things adults do. Why limit them now?
