There was so much stuff they presented I almost forgot about the curved walls and I was really taken by surprise when I saw them. They look so pretty. But did everyone see the big school parking lot?

Yes! I noticed that with all the decorated spaces. I thought it looked very cool!
It's one of the most wanted BB feature, I see no reason to hide it.
But you can clearly see that house from the leaked screenshot in this world map
Also my thread from 2019 where I suggested curved walls has 2.2k views, which is a lot for only 3 replies. It probably got sent around in internal chats at Maxis when they were looking for suggestions of new features. Otherwise I can‘t explain that 2200 people looked at this thread and didn‘t reply nor react.
I think curved walls are coming, otherwise the SimGurus would‘ve already cleared up the rumors and said that the screenshot is fake
Yeah, no, I highly doubt that they added a feature because you, and only you, made a thread about it.
This has been a feature that has been highly requested for literally over a decade. In addition, it is a simple enough concept without needing to forward a forum post to various people internally.
If you pop over to the general discussion tab, you can see plenty of threads where the view count is disproportionately higher than the number of comments.
Chances are, the reason for it is that people were interested enough by the title of the post, but not the content. Or that they got to the post via a search engine, but found that the post isn't what they were looking for, this is very common for older posts too.
For example, skipping back to the last page on the ideas forum, there is this post that has 1.1k views with 0 comments, presumably mostly due to the title leading them to think this is the answer to the query of how to summon a ghost: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/802050/ghost-summoning#latest
I don't mean to be negative, I'm happy curved walls are 'somewhat' here but they look really bad to me? Unless they're going to fix them before release but the shadows look terrible and the straight doors and windows on them look ridiculous. The only window that looked acceptable was the one that was coming from the high school pack which moulds to the wall.
This is supposedly a 'AAA' game and the walls do not reflect that.
*edit the bad shadows don't seem to show in James' build-buy overview video but that may be due to the sun orientation. I hope it's fixed
I hope we can delete the corner walls inside after placing them. I don't want it to be like the roof sections where we can't delete the end gable walls.
Does carved walls can be used in pools? Didn’t see nothing about it
I guess we'll find out. That thought crossed my mind as well. And sometimes, they hold back a lot when doing these Live Stream Events. It's nice to be surprised, you know?
There are no curved pools. Both James Turner and Deligracy did some videos on the curved walls and it's only the standard walls that are curved. There are no curved half-walls either.
I'm looking forward to this. I wonder if it will be scalable enough to make a torus shaped house. I have a couple of sims who'd probably enjoy living in a donut.
EDIT: Just thinking more about it, curved staircases might be a handy future addition to build mode too.

Not a surprise
Yeah I noticed that too and was just coming to comment on that
This feature is added.
I got a bit distracted but if I heard correctly all current windows and doors from Maxis will curve to fit.

With this one feature, I will be busy the whole period when this arrives in the patch.
I need to update all my Art Deco homes.
And I realized I can build my own custom turret for a particular style of homes I created back in TS3.
Plus I have an idea for a custom school I want to build.
still sad that we don't have round half roofs to go though its still gonna be roofing struggle
It won’t let me add the photo 😭

Once you have two, you can copy it to make the four, and then you can copy them as a group, and just plop and copy and repeat for the other floors.
