Whichever Sims Game you play mostly right now, many of us have had previous renditions of the Sims. I'm playing Sims 4 right now, but have played all of them for many years.
What are some build/buy items you really miss in Sims 4 (or whatever version you're playing) from previous games? I really miss this loveseat. I wish Sims 4 would bring it back. There are some that are similar, but this one is still one of my favorites.
Comments
Even the ripped ones
This is the Fortunes Fate Wall Sign from Sims 3 store
Tapestries hanging on the wall in back
The Tapestry from the Sims 3 Store Castle Set
The commission by Kings is probably one of the best paintings done in the game next to the one in Apartment life
When I was playing the Sims 3 I had wanted these curtains in several more sizes.
This honestly fireplace needs a comeback with room for a fire irons set
I would prefer him perched upon a bust of Pallas Athena
I'm really into refrigerators that look like cabinetry
One can dream I guess
Cars and the junker fixer upper car
Pool table
Soccer net from Sims 2
Volleyball net
Retail clothing racks
Working cash registers
Changing rooms
Ticket machine
In-ground hot tub
Pool slide
Normal diving board
Landlines would be nice as well if they would completely disable cell phones if you had one on the lot.
also I would really welcome any occult items especially if theres any visible gameplay attached because i feel like its just another thing they missed in realm of magic there just isn't really magical items to put in my magic realm like i can pretend the mirrors are magical and i can pretend sims use spellbook stands but they don't and i can pretend there used to be all kinds of magical items but there isn't
and yes amusement park stuff since it goes with makin' magic theme i just want it to not be rabbitholes
also now that i look at this that big bookcase door the one tile one just never really was the vibe

There is also music box from sims 3! Waffle machine! I gonna buy it even it sell serepart like sims 3 store!
I want small old granpa radio too. Upright paino!!!
Give toddler Xylophone!!! I want Jumping rope from sims 2 too! What do you mean we have soccer ball but not soccer goal! I am happy even you only could play it with 2 sims. I want Toy Stove too!
Basically: hobbies, hobbies, hobbies.
There are lots of gorgeous B/B items from TS2 and TS3 (and even TS1), but I have made my peace with the fact that on balance, the art style for TS4 is more childish, clunky, and cartoonish. (Not that there aren't some very lovely individual pieces, but on average, it's not my favorite. Although it would help if they added some more neutral, muted swatches to the existing objects.) Activities are another story, though; they definitely should be able to add those. I wish they would just do one hobby pack that adds all or most of them, with the exception of maybe adding nectar-making to a pack with a Mediterranean location, but my fear is that either we won't get them at all, or they will parcel them out one pack at a time to squeeze more money out of us.
*They could actually improve on the ballet barre over TS3, and pair it with a mat like the dance floors (and now the cheerleading mat), so that our sims could potentially do at least some simple ballet that would be a bit more elaborate than just practicing with the barre.
Also want jetpacks and comic books.
I miss the sculpture making stand and the glassblowing too. It was pretty late when I left off last night. I edited my post earlier for all my atrocious spelling. If I would add further to my above list I'd do
you are 100% correct that sims4 furniture is...not optimal. There are some pretty cute pieces, but Sims 2 and 3 just had better swatches and furniture. I struggle making historical homes in Sims 4 because the colors are too bright, but not brilliant. And the patterns...yikes. And there is no diversity in wood finishes. And the shapes and textures are weird, too.
wow! I didn't realize Sims 1 had so many cool things. I hadn't played that in 20 years. Sims 3 really is my favorite sims games. I miss it. I'm focusing on Sims 4 because it is easier on my computer. But gameplay and style of Sims 3 is 100/10. Love it. I have the beautiful baroque set from Sims 3, tbh, I have a lot of stuff from Sims 3 store. I miss how I could make historical legacies in the Sims 3 starting with Tudor, to Georgian, faking it with the Victorian (no good Victorian stuff there) using the Jazz set and then Roaring Heights, then using the 50s and 60s sets, then using the Decades pack (and creating my own outfits) and finally to the modern era. It was so fun. Sims 4 has 0.1 historical CAS and mediocre historical furniture.
I do like all the cultural and LGBTQ stuff for Sims 4, though.
Spiral Stairs
Heartshape Bed
All-in-one Bathroom
Dutch Oven
Decor pictures/plaques from Supernatural, World Adventure & Pets
Time Machines from Ambitions & Into The Future
Cars & Motorcycles
Toddler Cribs & Baby Strollers
Bonehilda's Closet Home
Bathtub for Two
I know right I never understood how they went from Sims 2 with working garages to Sims 3 with teleportation out of the garage to Sims 4 no cars or garages at all. Not even the car pool
(Swimming) Pool slide
Casino Slot machines/table
Carousel
anything and everything bay side from Sims 3(my favorite sets)
Anything related to hotels. I know that's game play but there's a lot of hotel based items that could be used in other ways.
I also miss some of the larger statues from previous games. The golden statue of David in boxers is so classic Sims humor to me. :D I just feel like there's a lack of larger artwork in general now.
